Reviews for Port Credit Harbour Marina
Great Locale.... But, 2014-08-27

I kept my 34 foot sailboat there for a couple years. I love the location and proximity to the town of Port Credit. There are tons of boats here and all services you could possibly need are nearby. Each year the place seems to get more rundown and the repai list grows. Management does not seem to care much about itinerent boat traffic and they are hard to get along with. That being said I have witnessed many boats pull up to an obviously empty slip (evidenced by lack of power cords and hoses and lots of goose poop) park and stay for a number of days without announcing themselves. Just have to ask someone for a gate code and they are usually good to go. I am not suggesting you do this but I have seen this many times.

We've been twice for the Port Credit Blues Festival (very good). Each time I wanted to reserve a slip. They insist on faxing a form to fill out a return. The information they request is beyond belief.

The washrooms are in an old industrial building and are a mess. The women's is locked and requires a key card. They have a number punch lock to get on the dock. Why not the same system?

No WiFi. Nuf said, walk to Starbucks.

When I was there in summer 2012 there had been a power failure at some of the docks. When I went to the office the women there was phoning people. "Hi this is the marina, your boats sinking. Get here as soon as possible."

Weird place.

OBTW: It does have one of the best chandleries in southern Ontario on site.

Well%u2026 It is handy if you live in and about Port credit.
Yet this is about as dirty and rundown as you can get. I would not trust my beloved boat to this place nor could I recommend it.
Staff rude and scary. Bathrooms are seriously unhygienic (beware of the Hep-B potential) there as a serious bird issue on the roof of the warehouse.
There are major restriction working on your vessel and who you can bring in to help you. This is not for me, as I need something clean, friendly less white trash.
I feel sorry for the people that dock there and have to put up with that gloomy place.

This is Ohana's home for the rest of the season and the winter. Things are a little rough around the edges, but there are great people here through the season and we're looking forward to an interesting "winter in the water"! It's a short walk to the bars and restaurants of Lakeshore in Port Credit and there's always a band playing somewhere.

We have been at PDHM for over 10 years and it is a community with year round live aboards and the seasonal boaters. With over 600 slips one of the largest chandlrys' in Ontario and Bristol Marine the facility has a lot going for it ... facilities could use an "upgrade" but with development going the way it is this facility will probably be Condos in the next 10 years.

Over the last few years the facility continues to go downhill ... docks are in need of repair and repair is slow in coming. Location and potential is so great ... just wish there was someone who cared about the place - June, 2012

This is a busy working yard with a lot of slips and year round liveaboards. Nothing pretty about this place and it's noisy.
Not a blade of grass for your dog on marina property.
If you are a summertime visitor to Port Credit you will be much happier at Credit Village transient docks.

The Town of Port Credit is a good place for a short stop offering lots of restaurants and all kind of shopping within walking distance. Also public transportation to Center of Toronto.

Restrooms and showers clearly need improvements on this rather industrial site. Slips are between average to less average conditions and provide good safety by codelocked gates.

DIY-repairs are very limited. Major repairs have to be contracted to Bristol Marine wich is located on site. (Stuff was very rude).

Getting priceing information for extendes services on phone or via e-mail was not possible in advance. Even on site prices for a 31ft sailboat to haul out and store on dry for a month variy from 1.800CAN$ to 600CAN$ depending on who you talk to. Boaters have to apply (expect up to one week for a desicion!!) for beeing taken out and will be denied if the boat is considered to be "older" and has no "survey" wich will be issued for additional >400 CAN$.

The marina office stuff was trying to be helpful to find a solution but finally were not able. This resulted after over two years of continous traveling in the first time I have been told: You have to take your boat elswere.

We just visited PCHM again in July 09. The place got even worse than it was in 2006. The Docks are in bad shape and the Showers are beyond anything.
The Town of Port Credit is still very nice.

The marina facilities are in reasonable repair and the staff are very helpful and the town of Port Credit has a lot to offer in shopping and dining
