Reviews for Port Consolidated Fuel Dock
Cannot stay overnight now, 2017-03-08
Captain: , Port Aransas, TX (1283)

We asked to buy fuel and tie up overnight (arrived at 4 pm) and were told they do not allow docking. We did not stop.

Great price, 2015-04-17
Captain: , Punta Gorda, Fl (960)

We fueled, payed by check, and left very happy. Just need to call and make sure someone is there. Tide is an issue, but we were fine at higher tide so not such a reach to the dock.

Fast flow rate, 2014-08-04
Captain: , Jacksonville Fl (1550)

You will be warned, but don't open the valve untill you are ready for fuel. I was told at wide open if flows @ 50/gal/minute. Be ready.

Great Price for diesel, 2014-07-09
Captain: , Sunset Beach, NC (1146)

$3.65 / gallon paying by check. Elsewhere in SC and GA it is $4.40 or higher. Signed the waiver. Got charged $12.95 Environmental fee, but I saved over $150 by coming here -- worth dealing with a fixed dock.

environmental fee, 2014-06-11
Captain: , cruising (671)

We have stopped here before. Willie is in charge and does a great job! It is important to know that a check is the same as cash. I was disappointed however on 5/27/14 that there was an enviromental fee of $12.95 on my bill for 200 gallons of fuel. Does not seem like a lot but it adds 6 cents a gallon for 200 gallons. A friend who bought fuel in Brunswick a day later had a charge for over $100 for 600 gallons. Need to ask ahead of time, I don't like getting nickeled and I also fueled myself and did not need any diapers.

Not as great a deal as it seems, 2013-12-15
Captain: , Ottawa (1173)

The only way this is a good deal is if you pay with cash and can sign the bunker waiver that you're leaving Florida. If you pay with credit card the higher cost and all the taxes and fees will make this fuel more expensive than some of the nearby marinas. It was 3.71/gallon when we were there, and 3.81 for credit card. With the taxes and charges it worked out to about 4.17/gallon.

Price & Service Worth the Dock, 2013-08-23
Captain: , Corpus Christi, TX (732)

Diesel prices and option for sales tax exemption are well worth the challenge of the fixed dock in an area of 8-foot tides. The dock manager was helpful and courteous, and though the pump/hose is high-flow, it has a valve at the nozzle that will adjusdt the flow rate to whatever you like.

very cheap diesel prices, 2013-05-29
Captain: , Wilmington, DE (780)

hard to beat this place for terrific fuel prices. easy to miss if you're not careful (just a few hundred yards north of fernandina beach marina, right before the large loading docks and cranes). willi is a pleasant attendant.

Excellent Quick Stop - Best Price on Florida ICW, 2013-04-06
Captain: , Lighthouse Point, FL (227)

Willlie is great. Did not charge for diapers as we saw reported here. use the local number, not the 800 number. Current was strong, but Willie gave good docking instructions and offered free coffee.

Hard to miss this stop, 2013-03-21
Captain: , Stuart, Florida (599)

Spotting this in Act Capt is what makes this forum so useful and cost effective. After we located the right phone number for Willie at Port Consolidated (i submitted a change so hope it got updated), it was a simple slide to a stop and put in a couple of hundred gallons of diesel (that is all they sell). $3.77gal on 18 Mar and if your heading out of state or country, no sales tax. Friendly and quick. We'll be back.

Absolutley the Best, 2013-03-08
Captain: , North Myrtle Beach, SC (3210)

Dock guy is neat, prices you can not beat, and if you do not mind a tie up to a fixed pier in 7.5 foot tides, they will let you stay the night for about 1/2 of what a marina charges, or even less.

Best Fuel Stop, 2013-01-14
Captain: , Southport, NC (120)

Year after year the best fuel stop in Florida.

Fill Up Here!, 2012-12-20
Captain: , Solomons, MD (1025)

Ok, the docks aren't in the best shape; okay, there is a lot of bird poop on the dock. But the price of fuel makes stopping here worthwhile. I don't understand why, for about $1 less per gallon, everyone heading north or south doesn't fill up here.

Great fueling location but watch for extras, 2012-11-29
Captain: , Hampton,VA (203)

Got fuel there before continuing south. Great price, easily $1.00 less than next door. Very friendly service. As noted below, phone number has changed. Had only "issue" I had was they charged me almost $13 for absorbent pads since their high pressure pump (which can be regulated) made it almost impossible to not dribble a bit of diesel on the my deck. Attendant didn't tell me there was a charge until I was done! OOPS! Will definitely go back, but use my own pads next time!

No joy this time, 2012-11-24
Captain: , Punta Gorda, FL (644)

Have refueled here several times in the past but no luck this time. They were closed for Thanksgiving, understandable, so we expected them to open on Friday morning but they did not.

We made the mistake of hanging around another day thinking they would open Saturday, but they did not.

No luck calling the various numbers, apparently the company has been sold. Any way, some type of notice about the holiday closing would have been appreciated or perhaps a message on one of the phone numbers..

Great Fuel Price, 2012-10-22

Cheap Fuel, Friendly Service, 2012-06-07
Captain: , Auburn, Maine (447)

Stoped for fuel 6-1-12. Willi and Reggie are friendly and helpful. Fuel is cheap. Took on 770 gal. and filled water tank at same time. Small stores within long walking distance. (1/2 mile?) Bunker agreement saves tax if heading north. Highly recommend.

Must be for the Big Guys - Don't be Fooled by the Low Price, 2012-06-04
Captain: , Cleveland (2083)

We've never had a problem with the size of a fuel pump nozzle but here they had nothing but a very large nozzle that did not fit into our fuel deck fitting. Took on only 40 gallons and left.

Minimal assistance as far as any help - I had to ask for a funnel that might work with the large nozzel. They had a funnel but it was of no help.

Plus the Environmental Fee is now apparently $17.95. Sales tax IS NOT INCLUDED in the price advertised dockside.

Great Fuel Stop, 2012-05-02
Captain: , East Falmouth, MA (1633)

No radio. Call Willi @ 904-753-4258 and he will give you all the info. Directly across from ICW #12 in Fernandina. Best fuel prices in FL.

Cheapest Fuel on the East Coast of Florida, 2012-04-26
Captain: , Detroit (767)

Great stop to refuel before leaving Florida. They don't monitor the radio so do make sure to call on the phone if you have questions. They open at 7 AM. Ask to sign the 'bunker agreement' - that the fuel will be used outside of the State of Florida - to avoid the sales tax. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Worth the trip to come here, 2012-04-16
Captain: , MV Red Head (61778)

If you're in the Fernandina Beach area, take an hour and fill up your tanks here. The prices are the lowest around. The pumps are very fast with valves to allow you to control the flow, and the staff is very helpful.

New in 2012 for us was the waiver to sign to skip Florida sales tax on the fuel.

Florida Petrolium, 2012-03-27
Captain: , Lewisporte, Nl. (619)

We arrived at low tide and tied up to the dock posts under the dock. We stayed overnight since they were closed for the day. We were rocked a little by large fishing boats going by early in the morning. The staff arrived at 7:30 so we took on fuel and were soon on our way. They have a valve for regulating the flow so no problems fuelling.

Horse's butt, 2012-01-15
Captain: , New Bern, NC (466)

It was freezing cold and with a fixed dock we could have used a hand tying up. We called and they sent a fellow to the fuel dock. He looked as us approaching, went into the office, and closed the door. We came around twice before he came out to the dock. My daughter, handling the lines is a slight 5%u20192%u201D and he stood there looking as she tried over and over again to get a line on a piling 15 feet above her head. I had to shout at the man to get him to lend a hand, and he just stared at me for a bit and then took a line. If the dock had been one I could have climbed up on I would have deep sixed the creep right there and then.

the fuel place, 2011-02-08
Captain: , millsboro DE (300)

On the ICW this is the place to fuel up the price is great anf the staff go out of there way to make you feel at hyome

Low price and fast pumps, 2010-08-05
Captain: , Palm Coast, FL (351)

On 8/3/10 diesel wad $2.73 (credit) or $2.70 cash. If you come in after the 5 pm closing, they'll let you stay on their dock overnight and be first to get fuel in the morning. And the pumps are over 25 gallons a minute, so you can be on your way quickly.

Courteous Service, 2010-06-04

We took on 400 gallons of fuel here. Service was top notch.

Diesel fuel, 2007-06-01
Captain: , Dayton, Ohio (3)

Great service. Received fuel at $2.415 if over 100 gal and paid by check. They do take out-of-state checks.

Best place to refuel with diesel in the area, 2007-04-08
Captain: , Key Biscayne FL (3103)

No docking just fuel. This is a difficult place since the current is vrey strong and can be exposed in adverse winds. Closed weekends
