Reviews for Port Angeles Boat Haven
Good dockage, 2017-07-02
Captain: , Scappoose OR (88)

Very calm docks back away inside a large harbor. Convenient to Platypus Marine who are capable of hauling my 23ft wide catamaran. Restrooms and trash a long walk for some but not terrible.

Port Angeles Boat Haven is a good stop, 2016-09-14
Captain: , tacoma, wa (20)

Helpful staff, lots of action to watch with the pilot boats coming and going, as well as the big Westport yachts that are built in Pt Angeles. Only negative is that the restrooms are a fair hike from the guest dock and they are somewhat marginal (2 shower heads in a shared space).

Much improved, quite nice, very friendly, 2016-08-05
Captain: , Seattle (140)

East side had new nice docks & scheduled for new docks for west side. Very friendly & helpful staff. Good place for fuel -- good price, helpful staff, no rush. Surprising number of superior restaurants around town if you can work transport. Overall, much recommended and a good place to wait if heading out and not wanting to get stuck in Neah Bay.

Convenient, 2016-06-13

Great stop on the way in our out. Friendly staff. Fuel dock, security gate (unlocked during the day), all the usual shoreside amenities. Good grocery store about a mile away. Nice main street to explore. It's also fun to watch the Coasties come and go from their station on the spit.

Nice but tight, 2016-05-08
Captain: , Whittier Alaska (839)

The entrance to the Marina is hard to find if you have never been there. The docks are new and very nice, but it can be crowed. 5 West Port boats were taking a lot of space. I would recomment this marina as a good rest stop.

Very nice marina and interesting town!, 2015-08-05
Captain: , Portland, Or (40)

Spent a couple of nights here waiting for weather to improve. At first the marina seemed fairly industrial but once we left and walked a short ways into town our opionin was greatly improved! Very nice town with lots to see and do. Highly recommend. Also, marina staff very very nice!

Excellent facility and area, 2015-05-14
Captain: , San Diego (302)

We spent a few days in the marina after transiting up the coast. Very nice place, lots of room, clean restrooms, good wifi and close to town. Also close to Olympic National Park, rented a car and saw most of the highlights over a couple of days. Very enjoyable.

Plenty of space, 2014-08-04
Captain: , Tracys Landing, Maryland (350)

Can handle quite a few transient boats, and many of the big motor vessels stop in here. Convenient and decently priced fuel dock, clean bathrooms, and very nice staff. Easy walk into town.

Good transient stop. Fuel dock has the best price in the PNW. No WiFi, but the docks are clean and it's an easy walk into town.

Wintered Over, 2014-05-05
Captain: , Austin (450)

We wintered over here. We felt very save both from a weather and exposure standpoint and security. It was nice having live-aboards near-by and an attentive marina staff. There is not a major marine store in the area, but Sunset Hardware has stainless hardware. Would highly recommend the marina whether for an overnight or long-term.

Captain: , Port Angeles, WA (110)

I'm a little biased since I live in Port Angeles and keep my boat in the Boat Haven, but I really think that the harbormaster and his staff work at making this a great marina. Guest docking is along new concrete floats with convenient power and water. Downtown is within walking distance with a great hardware store between the marina and town.

Convenient customs clearance--call via cellphone upon rounding Ediz Hook and the agent will meet you at the dock unless the Coho (Victoria ferry) has just arrived. Then it may be a bit of a wait.

One-night stay was fine, 2012-05-05
Captain: , Kirkland, WA (4478)

One night stay at convenient Breakwater Guest Dock. Water, power, clean docks, some boat traffic coming and going late and early but not a problem. People are very nice and helpful.

PA Boat Haven, 2011-01-16
Captain: , Fort Myers, Florida, USA (584)

The only marina in town but they don't act like it. Full service. Small town atmosphere. Close in, and a nice bike trail makes the town waterfront a only few minutes away. You may only feel the need to come here for fuel and when wind is up because the harbor is a pretty nice anchorage.

Its commercial but I liked it for a overnight stay,fuel/water available., 2010-05-30
Captain: , United Kingdom (227)

There is a US customs office and they are very friendly. Its got a great place for breakfast and coffee at the end of the pontoons, its full of commercial fisherman at 7am.The town is used to people passing through but we enjoyed it as there are a few good bars in the town.My crew had way too many to drink and fell in love with a granny who had no teeth ?whilst he attempting to play pool against a New yrk fisherman and lost. I realy enjoyed it ,but maybe its not for everybodys cup of tea.
