Reviews for Point Bay Marina
Very Average, Exposed South, 2017-06-28

We stopped here for a night. Docks in good condition but marina full of weed. Created a difficult situation as I was backing in as it choked my bow thruster. Perhaps I should have surveyed the situation and been aware. More experienced dock staff might have mentioned the hazard! Bathrooms OK. Wifi next to useless unless you go to the fuel dock and stand in the middle of a floating walkway with nowhere to sit or rest a computer. Better options on the Lake than this.

A very good place to stop!, 2016-08-04

We were there for one night in mid july 2016 and we were pleased by the friendly staff and the available services. The store is good and we found more than just boat stuff (bread, milk, Cabot cheese, etc...)! Plus, at $20 for a transient mooring, what more can we ask for? But..., no protection from south winds though... Otherwise I'd give a 5 star rate!

I would say one of the nicest marina around, good service, frre showers and a small store for basuc necessities, pump-out available. They let you use the docks for you to take a shower, a nice place to stop

Stopped in for fuel and decided to take a look around. Nice set up, very friendly staff. Let us park on the gas dock for a 1/2 hour while we around marina.

We stopped 5/22/2014 when most marias in the area either had not put in their dock or thier docks were under water. Point bay was open and very accommodating.

Competitive Diesel Fuel price and very friendly staff, 2014-03-03
Captain: , Willsboro Bay Marina (2471)

We enjoy visiting Point Bay Marina and take fuel as they offer it at a competitive price on Lake Champlain. The showers and restrooms are clean and well maintained.

Their Ship store has essential groceries, boating and fishing supplies.

Well run operation, 2013-07-05
Captain: , Freeport, ME (608)

We stopped here on our way north - the alternative to the closed Erie Canal. Got diesel and pumped out - both operations were done professionally, with nary a drop spilled. Inside docks well protected, though we didn't have to test that, as it was a settled night. A laundry and a nearby restaurant are lacking, or this would be a 5 star establishment.

Extremely knowledgeable and helpful staff, 2012-07-29

Stopped for diesel and pump out. Very well maintained facility. Head and showers short walk up two flights to A frame building. Excellent condition. Staff shared home made zucchini muffin which was over the top

We needed only a pump-out but were really impressed by the guy who handled it. He understood the physics of the thing, had an adaptor which fit our opening, and related the evolution of their system over the years to a two pump setup which REALLY sucks. (in the most positive way).

the docks were well made, the joint covers were stainless plate, everything was well thought out and well maintained. Fuel price was good, too.

First rate marina with helpful and knowledgeable staff, excellent mechanics, easy access to fuel dock, and what appears to be the least expensive fuel on the Lake

Ray and his staff, 2010-04-26
Captain: , Williamstown, MA (335)

Ray, Point Bay's Dockmaster, and his crew are top notch. They have upgraded the fuel dock this year and added WiFi at the marina. Royal Savage Yacth Club (RSYC) uses Point Bay as its Port-of-Call. They are a great group of people and visitors are always welcome to join any club activities. I wouldn't want to be at any other marina on Lake Champlain. A cautionary note about service, if you need repairs done to any of your mechanical systems, you might want to go South to Westport Marina or North to Shelburne Shipyard.

Captain: , Montreal (80)

We have stayed 14 years at Point Bay and have enjoyed every one of them. It is a well maintained marina with an helpful and professional staff. They take good care of your boat, either when in storage or while in the marina.
It is a bit remote and you need a car to go shoping or visiting.

Point Bay OK, 2007-04-07
Captain: , Westborough, MA (1)

Friendly/laid-back staff. Easy access for trailered boats. Ramp a bit rough. Good mooring field but southern exposure so a wind out of south is rough. Excellent location.
