Reviews for Pleasure Cove Marina
Best of the Best, 2015-10-24

Have stored many boats in their dry sheds for customers and this year adding my lobster boat. They do a very good job.
Boat like being dry sailed 12 months a year. Keeps them sparley

New Ownership, 2015-06-18

I have been here for 5 years and found it to be a exhalant marina, it has just ganged hands and now is part of the Suntex Marina group.

No skilled service., 2015-06-15
Captain: , Doylestown pa (30)

Don't waist time. Although very friendly staff, this was the worst service I ever received. Could not figure out where oil filter was. Told to replace 5 batteries, all batteries were good. Left oil fill off on generator that was nice. I asked what was done to sail drives, the responses was I did not do your boat. They are very nice and very incompetent! This will not be last bad review after talking to other boaters before we left.

over the top, 2015-06-14
Captain: , Orange TX (130)

After hitting an unknown underwater object, we limped into Pleasure Cove Marina. It was on a Saturday afternoon, but when we called to inquire about a haul out for damage assessment they said come on in and they would have the lift at the water ready for us. Rick and the crew pulled the boat and after it was determined that the prop was toast the boat was placed indoors for repairs.
They waited to make sure we could make arrangements for a room and rental car and assisted us with all of our needs.
They ordered a new prop when the repair shop said the old one was damaged beyond repair. This and some other repairs were done quickly, correctly, and for a very resonable fee. They even put us back in the water as soon as possible to help save us some hotel money.
I would strongly reccomend this facility to all boaters.

First class operation!, 2015-05-01
Captain: , Pensacola, FL (532)

We were so glad we chose to leave our boat here, indoors and heated, for the winter. Everyone who works here is proffessional and friendly, and will go out of their way to accomodate. Manager, Rick, gave immediate response to our initial inquires and gave us a personal tour before we broughtr the boat in. Neal, their travel-lift/forklift operator handles boats with care shown as if it's his property. Dallas, Neal's counterpart, also was very helpful and saw to our every need. Gary, who detailed our boat, brought out the shine which I did not know could be done with our nearly twenty year old boat, and is VERY reasonable, pricewise. Can't say enough good stuff about PCM, to do it justice, just that other marinas need to take lessons from these folks. BYW, they are now a Suntex marina, so if you have Rick call ahead to Liberty Landing, also Suntex, you will recieve added discounts upon arriving, as with any other Suntex while traveling. The boat store/parts department is West Marine affiliate, and can have special orders overnighted directly to the marina, too.

Wide travel bay & big lift, 2015-02-25
Captain: , Annapolis, MD (334)

This is one of the places on the mid-Chesapeake to haul big catamarans. They have a 150 ton travel lift that can handle big catamarans or other wide and heavy vessels. Quite a number of cats winter over on the hard here.
There is a very nice club room which includes exercise facility.
We spent two weeks here in 2013 on the hard doing a summer refit project and bottom painting. They allow owners to work on their boat.
The restaurant is not open during the winter.

PCM continues to get better all the time!, 2014-10-07
Captain: , Green Cove Springs (133)

Over the summer of 2014 this marina had a slip for us and the monthly rate was fair. When it was time to haul out last month the yard, once again did a first class job at getting us hauled, pressure washed and Stevey did a good job at sanding down the bottom of our catamaran. Rick, Duff, Neil and all the other workers there treated us real good and we will most likely come back many more times. The bathrooms are nice and the Cheshire Crab provides the food and drink one needs when spending time on the "hard".

3 warm winters, 2014-04-28
Captain: , Arnold, Md (50)

Just splashed from my 3rd winter of indoor heated storage. Great place and wonderful people. They blasted and barrier coated the bottom this past winter as well as sent the props out to be reconditioned, boat ran great on the way home. They are always friendly and very helful, loaned me several tools as I needed to complete projects. Will be back for next winter! Oh yeah, the new chef at the Chesire crab is awsome!

Pleasure Cove Marina (and Restaurant), 2013-08-16
Captain: , annapolis (391)

Did not stay overnight;just stopped for lunch at "Cheshire Crab Restaurant on premises. Marina well-kept, helpful dockhands, friendly workers in all departments. Long face dock makes easy in easy out. At restaurant had excellent lunch--recommend shrimp tacos, mussels, corn fritters.

Great facilities- even has a gym, 2013-06-20

The owner spares no expense when it come to keeping up this marina. There is a restuarant on -site, that has pretty decent food.

Excellent service and boat handling when docking

Well protected and quiet place to stay., 2012-11-06
Captain: , Michigan City (349)

We left our boat here to go home for a week beginning 9/10/12. It is very well protected and the facility is a working yard with many boats being pulled for general maintenance. They have a huge indoor storage facility. I would highly recommend this for riding out a storm, hauling for repairs or to leave your boat when you have to.

Yard facility, 2012-10-13
Captain: , PooleUK (933)

I have just been launched after two weeks of work, regular bottom work , annodes, engine service and a compound & polish.
The work has been to a high enough standard to keep me happy, and I am an unashamed perfectionist. Particular note goes to Eric the service manager for his determined efforts to overcome the obsticles strewn in his path by the upper management, and Gary for one of the finest polish jobs I have EVER experienced.
I would rate the facility more highly, but for two issues.
1) Advertising facilities they do not have, this is a blatant lie chaps, not sporting at all!
2) The hoist dock, it is due an overhaul, as it is taxed by the weight of the Nordhavn 64.
Thank you Pleasure Cove for taking such care of my charge.

Wonderful Place, 2012-10-10
Captain: , Stuart, FL (909)

We left our boat here for a week while we traveled to Canada. The price was very good. It is a very secure yard with a night watchman. The dockhands were very helpful. This is a very professional boatyard and there were several boats here getting bottom jobs, etc.

The restaurant is average. There is not much in the immediate area, so we rented a car from Enterprise. Everything you could want is available nearby and we did a major provisioning.

Bodkin Creek is very peaceful and beautiful. All in all, a place I would return to and have work done anytime.

Great Yard, 2012-04-17
Captain: , Balmer (150)

I hauled here several times over 10 years. The boat was damaged one time but they fixed it. The last two times Jeff was in charge and the crew work was really great. I'd use them again providing Jeff was available to oversee the work. Pretty easy going about owners doing work. The bar can be allot of fun.

NEVER A DULL MOMENT, 2011-08-25
Captain: , orchard beach (50)

WHEN STORMS APPROACH WE ALL WORRY ABOUT HOW TO PROTECT OUR INVESTMENTS NOT HERE THEY PROACTIVLY CALLED ME AND ADVISED ME TO PULL MY BOAT IT THE WAKE OF THIS STORM. MY BOAT WAS PULLED AND STORED SAFELY IN THIER HUGE BUILDING SAFE AND SOUND. WHAT MORE COULD YOU ASK FOR BUT A GROUP OF PEOPLE WHO TREAT YOU AS FAMILY AND HAVE YOUR BEST INTREST IN THIER HEARTS. HATS OFF TO ALL AT THE MARINA FOR GOING ABOVE AND BEYOUND AGAIN AND AGAIN

Wonderful Sumer Evening, 2011-07-17
Captain: , Annapolis (10)

Dropped the hook off the Marina on a Saturday evening in mid July, and contacted the arina on channel 69 requesting a water taxi to the restraunt. Service was good, in a family friendly atmosphere. Food prices were fair and the patio dinning great. Well worth a weekend getaway.

Best on the Bodkin, 2011-03-25
Captain: , Bodkin Creek Md. (207)

We live on Mathias Cove and have watched Pleasure Cove from it's very beginings. It is a full service Marina which is important to those who do not live on the water and yet it also caters to us locals who use it for repairs, fuel, food and just plain fun. The food and beverages are reasonably priced and the service in the last year has been excellent. Jerry provides a water taxi that will pick you up from a boat or your dock. He has proven himself to be a good neighbor and is a credit to the Bodkin Community.
