Reviews for Platinum Point Yacht Club
Dockage at Platinum Point YC, 2015-10-21
Captain: , Cheboygan, MI (239)

According to the club's website: "Members of other yacht clubs who are members of the Florida Council of Yacht Clubs, Inc. and/or listed in the Register of American Yacht Clubs are welcome as visitors. All visitors must show their club membership card and register in the Guest Book. Persons in transit are eligible to use dock and Clubhouse facilities for a maximum of three (3) days."

Note that they have two 40' fixed docks and one along-wall dock; however, club training sail boats usually occupy two of the docks. The other dock is free for one night, provided that there are no club activities, such as races. Mid-week is the most likely time for the dock to be available.

Note that the NE corner of Burnt Harbor where the docks are located is a favored area by Manatees--proceed cautiously.

If you know somebody or have a YC affiliation you can stay here for free the first night, and $1/ft the next two nights. They have three docks in the corner of the marina complex. I think you can access the marina pool nearby
