Reviews for Lefaivre Public Dock

Gas $1.18/L ($3.40/gal US$)
Diesel $1.16/L

Pumpout is working!

Transient dockage but really only for 1 30-40' and if there's any traffic on the river you'll get waked big time.

Staff is very helpful. They lamented that their request to get a No Wake zone permit was not approved. Can't imagine especially since they're right next to a ferry crossing and I've seen those marked before.

It's especially needed if you're fueling up. The folks before us had their 30 cruiser bouncing 1-2' at the dock with the gas pumps running. Could have been an accident or injury.

Still a great stop, easy in/out.

Lowest fuel price on Ottawa River between Ottawa & St Anne, 2017-07-13
Captain: , Dunedin, FL (7374)

July 2017. Great fuel price, new hoses reach to end of dock but still a little slow. New docks, overnight transients will be permitted soon. Pump out just installed, also operational soon.

August 2013. Good fuel prices, but pumps very slow and hoses reach limited. There were two diesel hoses, also two gasoline. City owned fuel stop run by college students. Open from 10 am to 8 pm daily during season.

As below, open 10am-8pm and easy to get into. They don't answer the phone.

Good Diesel Price, 2015-06-16
Captain: , Seattle Wa (200)

Nothing here but fuel. I rated it high because it was the cheapest diesel I could find from Montreal to Ottawa. It was $1.229 C/liter which is about $3.75 US per gallon. The fill was slow but the helpful young fuel lady said they were getting new higher speed nozzles. She offered to let us fill with two hoses at once but I declined. I believe one hose delivered about 5 gallons/minute. No other services near except maybe a snack in the gas dock office.

Fuel (including diesel), 2014-06-27

one of the very few diesel source on the Ottawa river and the price is reasonable. Take advantage of this diesel source as there is none in the Gatineau Ottawa area unless you reach Dows lake on the Rideau Canal. Minimal other services

Relatively inexpensive fuel (diesel/gas), 2011-08-10
Captain: , Patrick AFB Florida (1254)

Look for the yellow tank marked "Diesel" on the southern shore just a few kilometers east of Montebello. This will be the cheapest diesel (perhaps gasoline, also) on the Ottawa River and beyond! Depth goes from 90 feet to 6 feet at the dock in the space of 50 yards. Helpful crew at the dock.
