Reviews for Pirates Bight Bar and Restaurant
Miss the old place (Billy Bones), 2016-04-19
Captain: , San Marcos, TX (865)

Friendly staff and beautiful facilities, but too expensive, even by BVI standards. Best dinghy dock in the BVI. Nice beach.

Nice, but expensive, 2015-04-29
Captain: , Beaufort, NC (407)

Not the kind of place you can just hang out. A glass of house wine - $9.20. So that tells a lot. The new structure is nice enough, but more like a virginia Yacht Club than a Caribbean chill zone. The $30 mooring balls do not give you a discount or any perks. It's like buying air.

Rebuilt and Beautiful, 2015-03-21
Captain: , San Diego (135)

Restaurant has been completly rebuilt and they did a great job, food is good and resonably priced. Service is great and all the people are friendly. Short dinghy ride to Willie T's for a night cap!

Great rebuild, 2014-12-22
Captain: , Amsterdam (1231)

Last year when we were in the Bight, Pirate's restaurant was burnt down. This year we were very pleasantly surprised that they have rebuilt the restaurant from scratch and did a pretty good job doing it.
Very decent restaurant and good food and facilities.

Under Construction but going strong, 2014-02-13
Captain: , Annapolis, MD (290)

Absolutely enjoyed our days there. Open for business and the food was wonderful. Spent the night on a mooring ball and the snorkeling was great!

Great place to eat and spend the night, 2014-01-25
Captain: , Newport, RI (190)

Good food. Nice mooring balls.

Good to Hear Pirates Reopened!, 2013-12-09
Captain: , Seattle (313)

We have had several great nights here enjoying the restaurant. Sorry hear it burned down, but we'll be back to support Pirates when we are down next. Don't miss out on the Lobster and a Bucket O' Bushwacker!

Pirates is now open, 2013-12-04

Fire Destroys Restaurant, 2013-10-06
Captain: , Shelburne, VT (68)

Sad to report that Pirates Bight burned to the ground on October 1st.
The owner has promised to rebuild as soon as possible.

Great new place, 2013-04-02
Captain: , Berwyn (250)

Big change since last year... new beautiful restaurant and bar .
Food was great (try the Seafood Lasagna)

Nice stop.., 2013-03-25
Captain: , Woodbridge (278)

Facilities recently updated and in great shape. Bar and food was top notch. Closed pretty early in the evening night we were there. Plenty of mooring balls in the area and a good sized dingy dock.

Nice meal and view, 2013-01-09
Captain: , Kingston (239)

We enjoyed a nice meal here. Apparently the place has undergone some rennovations in the past year. The food is good, but not a great value. The beach and restaurant are very nice and worth a visit.

Pirate's Bight - Great Reastaurant, 2012-04-24
Captain: , Rock Hall, MD (179)

Two of us had the BBQ ribs (fantastic). One had mahi mahi and another the sea bass with lemon zest. All cleaned our plates. Music was good until about 7 when it got loud enough to clearly hear back in the anchorage. Overall a great stop.

Another family favorite, 2011-04-30
Captain: , Northport, New York (97)

Whats not to love...bring the family in spend the entire day on their beach and enjoy a great lunch too.

Great place to relax, 2011-02-17
Captain: , Burlington, VT (61)

This bar is the perfect place to relax after sailing and snorkeling. The hiking trail behind the bar leads to great views.

Good food, great view, 2010-12-30
Captain: , New York, NY (470)

Good food. Fantastic Key Lime Pie (best in the BVI boasted our waitress--and she wasn't lying.) Our waitress was charming. Nice sand beach. The hiking trail is a great way to stretch your legs and get some nice views.

The Bight Stuff, 2009-07-14
Captain: , Grand Junction, Colorado (30)

This place is exactly what you expect from a beach bar and restaurant when going to the BVI. The (in)famous Island service and great food and drink. Don't forget it's a trail head for some great jogs/walks as well!

Dinghy & Dine, Happy Hour Twice a Day, 2007-01-29
Captain: , Huntington, NY (2310)

The best of the two places to eat in this cove. In addition to hanging out at the beach, there is a trail that leads to a helicopter pad at the top of the island, with tranquil views of this and the opposite cove.

Pirates Bight Bar & Restaurant advertises "Join us from 4 to 6 pm and 10 to 12:00 midnight for Happy Hour or stay for both and enjoy dinner too "

Dinner reservations on VHF 16 or 69
