Reviews for Pirate's Cove Resort and Marina
All in one Marina, 2016-04-04
Captain: , Longboat Key, FL (1089)

Because Pirate's Cove is both a marina and a hotel, they have just about anything you could want. Good dockage, fuel, well equiped ships store, hotel, pool, decent head and showers, restuarant on premise (and a few more within walking distance) and some of the nicest folks around.

price is high, 2016-03-11
Captain: , Alabama (252)

pricey for the docks and where you are

Great Staff, 2015-10-24
Captain: , Sebastian Florida (10)

They didn't have a slip for night one of our 2 night stay in June 2015. Dockmaster found us a spot. Staff, to the person, was excellent. Very helpful and patient. Very protected location. On site restaurant was good as was the front desk. Will plan another trip to Priate's Cove Resort.

$$$ decent lunch upstairs , 2015-05-05
Captain: , Delaware City, DE (73)

Decent lunch upstairs $$$12-18. Busy happy hour downstairs.

Two hour dingy ties at dock that seems to be co-managed by Restaurant and City. Small park, trash cans and bike rack. Some confusion with afternoon fish offload area.

Dingy dock is in shallow water. Consider using tender from main anchorage.

Manatee inlet's waterfront is entirely developed with marinas, yards, residences and restaurants like this one. Dingy into neighborhoods. Longish walk or bike to shops. Many marine service industries and retailers nearby.

Landscape maintenance noise and mostly slow but often noisy boat traffic every day.

Pirate's Cove Marina, 2014-04-12
Captain: , Palmetto Fl (545)

Spent 1 night here. They didn't really have a spot for us but they found one. Dockmaster Bones did a great job of helping us into the slip. We had nachos at the on-site restaurant, Pirate's Loft, which were good. Restrooms and showers were good. Nice place to walk your dog in the neighborhood and along the boardwalk park. $2.25/ft. + electricity.

Good stop in pocket, 2013-11-06
Captain: , Erie, Pa. (1896)

Was here four nights starting 10-24-13. Rate was 2.75 per fooy plus 14.00 for 100 amp power. 10-12 feet water at dock, power was good and Tiki Bar was good. Easy in & out for sea trial. Nice pool and hotel. Handy to stores etc. Dockmaster Bones was very helpful.

Good stop in the Manatee Pocket, 2013-05-11
Captain: , Punta Gorda, Fl (960)

This is a very protected marina. Many of the big fishing boats are located here, but we had a nice starboard tie slip for our 36' boat. They were good neighbors. Dock staff very nice and good to help dock. This is also a hotel. Fuel available but no pumpout. Showers/laundry located on pool deck. Pool very nice. Restaurant /tiki bar on site very good-she crab soup awesome! Walk or bike to several other dining venues and the post office. Biking ok as there are sidewalks along the busy highway to get to grocery. Stuart is a historic community with nice dowtown. Bike and taxi there.

A little pricy, 2013-03-13
Captain: , Galena, MD (1856)

Most wet slips are charter boats with a few cruisers and trawlers. Stopped for just one night and tied to face dock just north of fuel dock. OK, but nothing special for the price $$$.
Easy walk to restaurants.
Both anchorages were in high use during our visit and still room for more. it would be a better choice.

October trip south, 2012-11-17

Stayed at Pirates cove for two nights. Nice quiet marina, not much around the marina, decent restrarant on the premises.Over $2.00 a ft. good prices on fuel. In Mantee cove very protected.

Always a Nice Place to Overnight, 2012-03-07
Captain: , Fort Myers, FL (121)

Well kept marina with full services, including on-site hotel, pool and restaurant, bait & tackle, fuel (but no pump out). Large clean showers. Some of the finger piers can be a little short, but OK for our 31-footer. Staff (Bones) is friendly & helpful. Very protected, good place to stage out of for nearby gulf stream fishing, or nice place to stop after traversing the big ditch.

Nice location on Manatee Pocket, 2010-03-03
Captain: , Stuart, FL (39)

Must have the She-Crab Soup with sherry. Outside bar is very busy at happy hour and beyond.

Exvellent meals, service okay, but again the food was great.

Captain: , Palm Beach Gardens, Florida (81)

Convenient location, helpful dockhands, excellent restaurant on premises. Be prepared to wake early, when the fishing fleet takes to their task...

Good for a stopover, 2009-04-04
Captain: , Halifax Harbor-Daytona Beach Fla (20)

Have stayed there twice when traveling to the west coast or to the keys. Even with reservations, they docked me next to the fuel pumps and would not move me when requested. Long smelly night and even worse when all the fishing battlewagons left before dawn. Unfortunate, nice facility and convienant. Will stay somewhere else next time.

Downtown manatee pocket, 2008-08-08
Captain: , Key Largo (5457)

Pricey, as expected but very nice. good bar and restruant, walkable to other resturants and bars, also can go by dingy.
West marine close by.
