Reviews for Pines Marina
Nice location, 2015-08-03
Captain: , Lindenhurst, NY (316)

Took a day trip to the Pines Marina in The Pines village of Fire Island 8/1/2015. They had a $50 marina fee for a 4 hour tie-up or $80 for 8 hours. Overnight is $6/ft normal or $8/ft holidays. 30 amp electric is $5/day or $20/overnight. Arrive by dinghy and they say they won't charge for a dinghy tie-up. They say the access channel is 5' at low tide.
Many slips in the Pines Marina are exposed to a northern wind. Marina has a nice location with immediate access to groceries, shops and restaurants next to the docks.
Walk over, or take lateral water taxi ($8/person), to Cherry Grove if you want more restaurant choices.
The dock master braided our dock line. Being that we were in a community friendly to the gay/lesbian crowd, I wasn't surprised.

Similar to the Grove, 2010-07-29
Captain: , Bay Shore, NY (490)

The Pines is a similar community to Cherry Grove: lots of night life; great clubs and restaurants. If you want quiet; go east to Watch Hill. This is a better marina than the Grove: more protected and deeper. Find the dock master (used to be Rudy, years ago) for instructions.
