Reviews for Pilothouse Marina
Good location and access, 2017-06-16
Captain: , Pender Harbour, BC (411)

Garden Bay (in my opinion) is the best location in Pender Harbour.
Pilothouse is very easy access, the power/water are good, the docks are only fair. Protection is pretty good and the folks are friendly!
Good news and bad ... the Garden Bay Pub continues its downhill slide, however the new owners at John Henry's have really improved their cafe/pub, as well as the store, so all is good. LaVerns Cafe is really worth the visit, great breakfast and wonderful people.

Great Service, 2013-09-29

Sean and Shannon were great to us. Meeting us at the dock in adverse weather, helping us tie up, and spending the time to make sure we knew where to go to get anything we needed. The single shower room may be crowded in the busy summer, but it is one of the nicest we have found (since Victoria). Easy in and out for a catamaran.

Cute little marina with big boat services, 2013-09-25
Captain: , vancouver (238)

This is a lovely little marina with excellent services in a fantastic setting. We have been bringing our boat here for three seasons and the new owners are very nice and making great improvements on the facility. Now, there is even 50A power, free wifi, and a cute kids playground! We love the marina and really like the ease with which we can dock our boat on the docks there. Even the bathroom, which was renovated last year, is fantastic. We felt really welcome in the facility. They even offer complimentary kayaks and bicycles to visiting boats.

Great place to put in for a few days to work on the boat, 2013-09-25
Captain: , Pender Harbour and Calgary (110)

Clean, pleasant facilities, polite staff. We usually spend a few days here to prepare the boat for cruising. They offer 2 cabins where you can stay while working on the boat. Close to the pub and to RVYC and Burrard YC outstations, so good place to meet friends from those clubs. Can get to IGA by tender, pender diesel store nearby. The swimming lake is 5 minutes walk from there. Free, clean shower. They seem to have heard reviews regarding older docks and made improvements. Little play area for the children and dog friendly. The kids also loved the courtesy kayaks. We'll come back for sure.

Small marina, friendly staff, ok location, 2012-12-01
Captain: , Seattle (690)

I would agree with another reviewer that the marina does not quite meet the expectations set by the ad in the Wagonner's guide. That said, the dock master was very helpful in guiding us in - our first time in Garden Bay - and the slip was very easy to get into. Access to the local restaurant and grocery could have been better - we were probably 50 yards away by water, but maybe half mile by the local roads... A long way to carry a bag of ice in August! We might consider staying in Hospital Bay next time.

Not what you expect, 2011-06-25
Captain: , Friday Harbor, WA (490)

If you read the nice expensive add in the Waggoner guide you would expect a grand marina. No so. Docks are old and given a choose I would select another. New owners are very nice. The shower is nice..laundry is a single washer dryer but clean !!
View down the her is nice

Best Shower Ever!, 2010-08-26
Captain: , Live in Vernon, B.C. looking for a RPH LRC Trawler (127)

This is a nice marina, although in need of some dock repair the free shower is worth stop. Wharfinger is very nice and lives on an old 100' WWII mine sweeper on the docks.

The shower is large tiled stall in the washroom; and is free!
