Reviews for Piers Park Sailing Center
Top Notch Experience, 2017-06-19
Captain: , Beverly, MA (20)

Spent two nights on one of their moorings during Sail Boston 2017. Great location for exploring up and coming East Boston, and for sampling Italian and Hispanic cuisine. Great new staff very accomodating and helpful. Beautiful park with tot lot. Hubway (bicycle rental) station just outside gates. Short walk to Maverick T stop - one stop ride to downtown Boston. Moorings available through Dockwa.

Very kind to us..., 2015-09-22
Captain: , United States (3141)

I have to put in a plug for these guys. We anchored our 52' trawler in Anchorage 1 (off Logan/Hyatt) and I called them because we needed t pick up some guests for a visit and I wanted to buy a child-size life jacket for the dinghy ride. They offered to lend us one of their life jackets and let us use their float to pick up and drop off our guests. The whole staff were very friendly and kind to us. To be fair, I think our boat served as the windward mark for some of their classes, and a few of the students did come a wee close, so perhaps it was an exchange of karma...

Good transient stopover in Boston Harbor., 2013-02-13
Captain: , Fairhaven MA (446)

Could be an interesting stopover when cruising Boston Harbor. Primarily a Sailing Club they have a total of 10 500Lb moorings reasonably sheltered between the piers but keep 2/3 moorings generally open for transients.Valvetech fuel next door at Boston Harbor Sbhipyard Marina. Staff very friendly and accomodating.

Good to learn from, but....meh, 2011-06-26

They have great services aimed towards kids, and special needs groups. But aside from that, they are a staunch bunch. Very "business first" and mainly in it for the money. Don't get me wrong, they are a terriffic place to learn to sail. I just wouldn't take any of the people there out for a lunch.
