Reviews for Pier Street Marina
New ownership for restaurant, 2017-08-06
Captain: , Easton, MD (21)

The restaurant, Masthead, has a new owner. It is now Doc's Sunset Grill. They have really done a nice job with a good menu, a nice outdoor tiki bar and live music on the weekend. Rumor has it that they will be rebuilding the dock out front later this summer. Currently the tie-up space is a bit limited. Better dock will raise the rating a lot. Wind and waves out of the NW sends me around the "corner" to Oxford Town Creek instead. New restaurant there as well.

Great views at marina, decent restaurant, 2014-06-02

The marina has no dock hands, so you are on your own. The slips are very close to land, but there was enough depth there for our 5.5 draft. The bathrooms weren't dirty per se, but not sparkly clean either. The shower is very small and dark (if you don't use the one on the end). They had nice new bikes to rent, as well as SUPS and waverunners on site. We took the bikes into town to the general store to get some water. The marina has ice, but it seemed expensive at $5 a bag. The restaurant has pretty decent food with outdoor seating and a wonderful view of the bay.

Cruiser friendly, 2013-09-18

We stopped in Oxford in Town Creek like I have in the past to find, with horror, that both Schooners and the attached ice cream shop (we where seriously craving ice-cream) where closed for the day. My gal is recovering from an injury so a long walk to another restaurant was out of the question. A fella named Eddie took pity on us, drove us around town showing us the sites, and left us at the Masthead at Pier Street Marina. It's been noted bellow to order simple food. We almost always do and it was good and reasonably priced. Be cautious ordering the fruity drinks as they are expensive ($12).

What really deserves mention, though, is the friendly waitress, Merideth, helping us out by driving us to the Town Market for supplies (not far from the dinghy dock) when we where done eating. She told us that often times the restaurant owner would give the lift. I can't say how much we appreciated this as the alternative was either hitching back, or me hiking back to the boat (not too far), upping anchor, and driving around to the marina docks to pick the gal up. I believe their sister restaurant (Latitude 38) does the same thing.

This town has always felt welcoming to me. My experience here is just another reason why this is one of my favorite small towns.

Not bad, but order something simple., 2012-09-14

Casual and very relaxed. Keep your order simple. Good fried clam strips.

Great crab!, 2011-06-11
Captain: , Rochester, New York (50)

This is a great local stop to enjoy steamed blue crab while sitting along the beautiful Tred Avon River. Don't let the modest appearance put you off. Cold Beer, steamed crab and a beautiful Chesapeak Bay sunset are hard to beat.

Good lunch or dinner stop, 2010-04-15

Pier Street Marina and Restaurant is primarily a Chesapeake-style seafood, beer and burger eatery with limited docking. Most slips belong to nearby townhouses. Most of the leased slips are occupied by watermen's work boats. Gas and diesel are available. Overnight dockage for one or two boats.
