Reviews for Petaluma Marina
Go for the coffee in the morning, wine in the evening, 2013-05-25
Captain: , Alameda Ca (332)

What a splendid destination if you have no yacht club affiliation. For approximately $40 per night you can have a fun day trip up the Napa river (plan to go on the incoming tide), travel through miles of wild country with many old wrecks and wildlift along the shores and end up at a real tourist destination for the night. The D street bridge will require notification before your arrival or you will need to wait up to 3 hours for the bridge to rise, but that is just part of the adventure. Electrical connections are available and the ride home in the morning will be fun as well leaving you with glorious memories for year.

Boats to 60' are common. 6' drafts will need to watch the tides as a couple of area's can shoal up. If you hit bottom, it is soft mud and you can just pop a bottle of wine and tell the crew it was planned. You will float off in a couple of hour or just drop the anchor.
