Reviews for Percival Landing
Could be somewhat better, 2016-08-31

Great spot. A short walk to A nice grocery store Thrifty Foods. There is a shuttle bus, free, that you can take to the capital for a tour. Plenty of shopping nearby for the ladies and a bus ride to major shoping along the bus route 62 A or B. Bus terminal is also nearby. The downside is there seems to be a few homeless around and they use the bathrooms. Men's room had no doors on the stalls. An informative package may help to get info on things to see and do. Such a nice spot and nice upgrades, but it loses it with the homeless people washing their clothes in the restrooms.

Unexpectedly Pleased, 2015-08-20

Based on past reviews I didn't know what to expect. I wanted a night with power and water after a few nights without it, but hoped to be closer in than Swantown. New docks were opened Memorial Day Weekend this year, including power and water on E dock. Great central location, cool playground right at dock, super clean restrooms and showers. And one of the least expensive marina stays I've had ($21.60 for 27'). We stayed a Thursday night and were literally the ONLY boat on the dock.

Under Renovation, 2015-03-17

Guest docks are currently closed for renovations. Should be very nice when completed.

Docks are great. Location is great. Eclectic choice of foods and entertainment. No power unfortunatley, but that keeps folks away, so there is lots of room. Some people complain about the transient types, but we've never had a problem and we walk around all over the place. Great weekend farmers market a short walk. Highly recommend.

Cleaned up nice, 2012-09-28

So many people told us to avoid this dock. Olympia has done a major upgrade of the uplands, and it is very nice. There are still transiate folks around, but not overwhelming and never a problem for us.

Docks do NOT have power, but water is available. Great jump off point for the city, and local bus is only a $1 per leg! (or $2 for all day!)

Maybe it is better now?, 2011-02-14

The city was going to renovate the docks here. When we were here for the night about a year ago, there was no power on the docks. All the litrature advertised there was. The docks were not secure and there was a lot of homeless wondering the area. We did not feel the most secure and will go to one of the area marinas instead.

Downtown Olympia, 2007-09-16

This place is great for stopping for dinner at one of the many restaurants shore side. I think it is an unknown Puget Sound cruising gem. No shore power. Can be popular on some weekends. Noisy with downtown vehicle traffic.
