Reviews for Pelican Yacht Club
Good service, 2016-06-08
Captain: , Montreal (717)

Refuel there for diesel.
We were 2 on board, and none of our 6 credit cards worked.
Had to pay cash. I think the CC terminal is defect even is the tenant said it was ok.

convenient, 2015-11-14
Captain: , Jupiter, Fl (110)

Arrived during a storm, dock hands were waiting and did a great job getting us tied up. I did get up several times during the night to retie lines as the tide was outgoing. Wood docks a bit tired but a nice stopover.

Very Friendly Marina, 2015-01-22
Captain: , Traverse City, Mi (281)

Spent one night here. Very friendly staff - very helpful. Had to knock them a star for the lousy WiFi and bathrooms. The fuel prices were very reasonale when we stopped - unfortunately we had fueled north of there,

A nice laid-back place to stay, 2014-12-19
Captain: , Hartfield, VA (140)

Steve & David made us feel very welcome. Good facillities, clean. Located in quiet, older part of Ft. Pierce. Small grocery store across the street and down a bit. One mile walk to liquor store and the beach at the inlet. Local people we met along the way
were friendly. NOTE: Due to proximity of marina to inlet, the docks can be rather rolley when wind is out of the east.

Friendly Easy Mid Inlet Stop. Location Location ..., 2014-11-18
Captain: , Ft Lauderdale FL (271)

Vonnie and Justin were very helpful and accommodating during our brief stop. PYC is all about location in and out of the water. Very easy access from either the Atlantic or the ICW. Adequate depth and negligible current at the docks (5.5'draft). No wake or noise from inlet traffic. On shore, there are plenty of restaurant choices. Nino's pizza almost across the street, was good with friendly attentive service. Small grocery store a few yards away fairly well stocked. I'd definitely stop @ PYC again. 5 stars since it's all I look for during an overnight stop.

Convenient stop, Great staff, 2014-10-04
Captain: , New London, CT (80)

Pelican Yacht Club was a very nice stop, convenient to Ft. Pierce inlet for a quick exit heading south. Vonnie and Justin were extremely helpful docking and fueling (good price) and the yacht club open air bar has wonderful views. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Quiet and friendly, 2014-03-22
Captain: , Wilmington, DE (216)

We just spent the last month here and found it to be a nice break from the busy waterfront. Great helpful staff. Best fuel prices everyday. Two of the best restaurants in the area are within walking distance.

5 for the yacht club facility and staff, 3 for the fuel dock/marina, 2013-06-11
Captain: , houston, tx (393)

The docks are a bit rough. Strong tides are manageable, but must be considered. The clubhouse and yacht club staff were excellent and very welcoming. The bars (inside with ac and outside above the pool area ) are very good and offer a fantastic view of the waterway and inlet traffic.
The fuel dock staff was there, but not very engaged in their work. They offered help with docking but somewhat under duress. Watch the current at the fuel dock, as it can be sporting.

Great staff, secure dockage, reasonable rates, 2013-01-05
Captain: , Fort Pierce (30)

Five stars might be a small bit over rated because of the wood docks and the dated bathrooms but the staff, services and convenient location make this the most desirable place to dock a vessel. Prices are competitive and considering the proximity to the inlet make this the best option. Free wi-fi, showers and pool. Washer and drier work well. A small hardware store is across the street, as is a reputable marine electronics place, a small but well stocked grovery store and a diner serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. The club house is excellent and serves great food. The Pelican Yacht Club staff is truly awesome; attentive, knowledgable and gracious.

PYC caters to boaters, 2012-06-03
Captain: , Ft Pierce (35)

Pelican Yacht Club (PYC) stopover. Had very friendly and courteous staff. Helpful when asked. Pump our, diesel and gas. Small convenience store right on the fuel dock. Weather radar in store. Vonnie has excellent local knowledge.

Great location, amenities, 2012-05-08
Captain: , Sioux Falls (35)

With a draft of 6'6", several cruisers recommended we make Ft. Pierce our landfall point when returning to Florida. Pelican was recommended for location and depth. We found Dockmasters Vonnie and Eric to be very helpful. Nice pool, easy access to groceries and great dining. We stayed about a week, prepping to sail north to Virginia.

Great location, friendly staff, 2011-11-30
Captain: , boca raton (90)

Close to inlet & restaurants. Very friendly staff, great place to overnight.

convenient to inlet, 2011-05-26
Captain: , Pamlico Sound, NC (130)

The lady running the show was a great line handler and and got us through the ice, tankage and bait routine in a hurry. Marina is quiet, has convenience store accross street. Showers are fine. Wireless was down when we were there (8/2010), meant no pre-passage internet access, an inconvenience. Took one star away because no floating fuel dock/slips which makes for easy landing.

A GREAT PLACE TO STAY, 2011-02-11
Captain: , Cape Cod (20)

I have found this to be one of the quietest marinas in Florida, if that is what you enjoy. The facilities are clean and well kept. The staff is freindly, and they actually keep and eye on your boat if you need to leave for a length of time. I highly reccomend this place for just stopping in, or monthly as I am.

great place, 2008-04-06
Captain: , Tampa, Fl (27)
