Reviews for Peaks Island Marina
Only choice in town, 2014-11-27
Captain: , Annapolis, MD (370)

I have stayed here now several times because we really like Peaks Island and it's the only choice for mooring here. But for $60 you get a mooring, NOTHING else...no launch, no restroom/showers, zip. They will let you tie up your dinghy at their dock if you stay out of everyone else's way.....

Mooring are an after thought here. Don't expect much. But Peaks is a wonderful place to visit, so we keep coming back anyway.

No Services for Downtown Portland Prices, 2014-09-14

There is a dock and that's it. No rest rooms, no water, no diesel, that goodness for the folks at the Inn on Peak's Island for thier hispitality. Bit if you're going to Peak's island this is it.

Good way to visit Portland, 2012-09-27

The mooring was $45 without any amenities. Easy access to the Portland ferry allowed us to visit town without dealing with Portland marinas. It was nice and quiet there at night. A fellow boater was anchored outside the mooring field and said that the holding was excellent.

Good alternative to Downtown Portland, 2010-04-22

Sometimes we'd rather sample island life than the "big city" feel of Portland, and those times we'll see if we can get a slip at Peaks Island. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Lots of people tie up for the day, or by the hour, but if there's room they'll find you an overnight slip. It is not well protected, but better than Portland Yacht Services across the bay. Just up the hill on the main road, there are grocery stores, restaurants, shops and (our favorite) ice cream. And lots of realtors, if you want to stay longer. Time your stroll around town to avoid the flood of ferry passengers, and learn to live on island time. Rent a bike to see the whole island, or just wander.
