delivered boat here for first service- BRAND NEW BOAT- they forgot to put oil caps on and all oil spilled out. smoking and by mercy - no fire. DO NOT BRING ANYTHING HERE FOR SERVICE - unless you are trying to get rid of it.

Poor Service, 2014-08-18
Captain: , Clearwater (20)

Don%u2019t go! Despite calling 10 minutes ahead of arrival to confirm our reservation and dock assignment no one met us to assist docking. When someone arrived about 5 minutes after our landing they didn%u2019t know why we were there. When we tried to hook up the electric it didn%u2019t work. Despite asking for assistance the only response from the dock person was that they didn%u2019t know why it wasn%u2019t working. We left after realizing we were getting nowhere in solving the problem.

Overpriced, 2014-01-20
Captain: , Buffalo (1144)

A small "marina". There are two so-so restaurants nearby, and an excellent small grocery/meat market across the street. But there is a surge from the ocean, and there are few facilities for cruisers, and at a flat rate of $75 per night, they are overpriced for what they supply. We won't stay there again.

Bad Attitude, 2013-12-20
Captain: , Tampa (93)

Called in advance to arrange an overnight visit (Tuesday night) , early Wednesday morning departure for fishing trip, then drop off group later on Wednesday afternoon to clean fish, before heading home for upper Tampa Bay.
Upon arrival Tuesday evening, discovered that 50 amp service not available even though we specifically inquired prior to arrival. Ended up spending night with Generator running.
Returned from fishing Wednesday afternoon. After docking, party started cleaning catch while I was hosing salt spray off boat (rough day). Dock master approaches and accuses me of being a commercial charter (we were not), went down hill from there. He said that most boats "don't catch many fish' therefore, we must be commercial" and started going on about how he had to protect his commercial marina customers, we were blocking fuel dock (no customers around entire time), we didn't tell him we were commercial, etc ... He did eventually backed off and started apologizing, but, what a PITA, To make a long story short, we won't be returning! They are not set up for transients and have nothing to offer except a bad attitude!

Tornado damage, 2012-08-11

Call ahead to be sure they have room. Their high&dry storage lost part of its roof when a tornado touched down a month or so ago.

Nice little marina, 2012-07-24
Captain: , St. Petersburg, FL (195)

We stayed here Easter Sunday 2012, on our 41 sailboat with 5 foot draft, they offered to put us at the T dock, which was occupied, so we found an empty slip. Very protected. Lots of boat traffic to/from Sea Critters Restaurant, but that ends at dusk. Filled with diesel before heading out into the Gulf the next morning. Fast easy out to the Gulf. Nothing fancy but suited us well. Clean bathrooms.

Good location -fun restaurants nearby, 2011-08-09
Captain: , Orlando, FL (275)

Easy access for our sailboat jsut before the bridge. Two bar/restaurants next door. We had a great meal at Sea Critters. Don Cesar Hotel is also a must see, short trolley ride away. Docks are in good condition. Marina just looks industrial. Very clean bathrooms, just hot, no A/C. Nice staff.

Ok for a Weekend, 2011-05-15
Captain: , Apollo Beach, FL (185)

Stayed here this weekend and had a great time. Marina was full and they had me tie off at the lower dock which was an old aluminum dock that almost sank every time i stepped on it. Current was very strong and not well protected. Trolly stop is across the street and makes it convient to get anywhere for $2.

Very Basic, 2011-02-02
Captain: , Hernando Beach, Fl (300)

But closest to the pass if you're a fisherman or offshore cruiser. Shops and restaurants nearby.

A boat stack and stow with a dozen slips, floatind dock is a Tee with pilings. A block to the beach, 3 resturants and a meat market/store close by.
