Reviews for Park Place Boat Club
great staff, nice facility, 2016-11-19
Captain: , Port Huron Michigan (180)

Wind out of the West/North West gives a secondary roll after it reverberates from the East side of the bay. Stayed three days, weather was bad enough that I didn't want to go out in it, but had a very spirited roll at the dock. PIB is a quirky enjoyable place. Facility was nice, the far East dock is a floater and it allows the surge to come into the docks. If winds are light, five star.

Good option in PIB, 2015-10-01
Captain: , Catawba Island Ohio (530)

We only go to PIB a couple or few times a year and only during the week. We are not members and were not made to feel welcome. When they have so few boats during the week you would think they would want our $2 a foot. Apparently the woman who gave us such a cool welcome is no longer there. This time I am pleased to say, we were treated very well. Although we prefer the old pier, where we stayed when Jim was running things, the new floaters are nice and the restrooms are very nice.

Great Marina!, 2014-09-07
Captain: , Michigan (65)

This is our first choice in Put in Bay. The marina is beautiful- especially since they renovated the docks in 2014. The staff is friendly and helpful. Even though we are not members, we've been treated like we are. They've even made a couple of short-term reservations for us. And I agree with other posters; they have the nicest showers on PIB.

Park Place new docks, 2014-07-25
Captain: , Cleveland, Ohio (34)

We loved this place. Docks are new floaters. The showers are the nicest anywhere. Docks are a little tight. We will be back!

New Floating Docks are in for 2014, 2014-07-21
Captain: , Cedar Point (10)

The Key's Complex is up and running as promised.. all new floating docks for the 2014 season. The staff has been very nice & accomidating in our visits. For reference to the comment regarding the dockmaster... Larry is the new dockmaster this year, but Jim IS still on the staff... we've typically seen him there in the AM... All else is good and a lot of fun too.. :)

Good Location, 2014-07-18
Captain: , Wilmington, De. (152)

Tough in and out in a breeze, but good location -- close to Perry Memorial, golf cart rentals. Good bar on site with daily live music. One of few marinas in town with enough water for us (we need 6')

New & very clean, 2012-09-22
Captain: , Grosse Pointe Farms (260)

Cool marina, but very small = not a lot of slip/seawall space for transients. Friendly service!

poorly staffed, 2012-08-21
Captain: , Cleveland, OH (10)

The new restaurants and bars are nicely done and the food is decent. If you're docking here, be sure to take responsibility for ensuring your boat is in an appropriate location and is secured. With the exception of Jim, the dockhands do not know how to secure lines to cleats and will constantly want to move your boat so it's convenient for them. My boat was to drift backwards into the wall while they were trying lines and bottomed out because the water was too shallow.

Hopefully they spend some time to train their staff next year.

No Protection or Organization, 2012-07-25
Captain: , Catawba Island, OH (140)

We joined this marina earlier this year and have since quit after experiencing terrible docking experiences. The staff do not appear to be at all familiar with how to best tie-up boats. The previous dockmaster at this location (formerly Fox's Dock) is sorely missed!

Still under construction, 2012-07-03
Captain: , Cedar Point, OH (659)

The dock renovations are scheduled for 2013, pending permits and approval. In the meantime, the Keys Complex, including renovations to the existing facilities and constuction of the new office/store building and chicken BB-Q are complete.
