Reviews for Paris Landing State Park Marina
Great state park marina, 2017-06-27
Captain: , Norfolk (100)

Very helpful staff. Gated dock. They will transport you to the golf course or lodge with restaurant and pick you up. Ranger will pick up after marina closes. TNT pizza delivers (very good).

Good Place for an Overnight, 2017-05-28
Captain: , Gold Point Marina, Chattanooga, TN (111)

Skinny entrance but well marked (coast guard station located opposite of the marina). Clean shower room. Dock hands were trying to be helpful but could use a bit of training , it was early in the season. Plenty of transient slips. If you don't need a 70' finger opt for slips to right of fuel dock as the longer fingers dint have enough cleats to accommodate our 43 and 47 ft boats.

6' Draft Cheapest fuel we could find, 2017-01-14
Captain: , Charlevoix, MI (290)

2.09 Diesel. An easy in and out stop with friendy staff and well marked channel. Recommend them.

Easy entrance, very nice docks and park, 2016-11-18
Captain: , warm waters (828)

Ocean Dancer stopped for one night (11/17/16). The entrance channel was clearly marked. At winter pool, it was 10' deep at the floating dock. We have a 4' draft and had no issues. Transient slips are 60' and 70' long with floating finger piers on both sides. We have a 16'3" beam and had a couple feet on either side of the boat. The park is clean, attractive, and very walkable. The transient dock was practically empty. When we called ahead, Kristy offered that we could pull into a slip or tie up parallel to the walkway on the other side of the dock; whatever was easiest for us. Two park staff changing lightbulbs in the parking lot met us at the dock and caught lines. Everyone was very friendly. The marina is alongside a bridge and there was some highway noise but nothing we couldn't sleep through. There was a park ranger on duty after hours. There was also a security gate leading to the dock but the lock appeared to be broken.

Relaxing Stopover, Great Staff, Newer Facilities, 2016-10-03
Captain: , Mystic, CT (190)

Relaxing stay at very nice facilities. Located in TN state park. Newer facilities including laundry, washrooms and showers. Transient docks are newer and secure. Marina staff as well as the boating community are super friendly, accommodating, eagerly share about the local area and offer to give you a ride. Restaurant, which is part of the park, is located less than mile from marina and a nice walk. Marina staff or the park ranger will take you there and back if you like. Park staff will take you to the dollar value store for provisions as it is a bit further. Park is quite picturesque and very relaxing. Great Wi-Fi signal. Diesel and slip prices are competitively low. Much enjoyed our stay.

Peaceful, quiet, friendly, 2016-09-26
Captain: , Jacksonville Fl (1550)

Very friendly welcome from the folks here. Had a very peaceful quiet night and they provided transportation to and from thelodge for dinner. Clean secure location and would like to come back again.

Makes a good stop, 2016-08-18
Captain: , Portland, Oregon (576)

We only stayed over one night and the people there are the most friendly we have met in some time. There isn't much to do, particularly on Sunday night. We went up to the lodge but the restaurant was closed and the swimming pool was closed too. We had a nice night in very good facilities.

Nice State Run Marina, 2016-08-11
Captain: , Punta Gorda FL (1709)

Newer floating docks. Clean. easy in and out. $1 per foot. Restaurant is the the state park lodge. Call for ride after 4pm. ranger will take you to the lodge for dinner. 50 amp service and 2 4G LTE bars on AT&T. Good WIFI.

transit and slip, 2015-10-23
Captain: , paris, tn (50)

been transit and slip renter off and on. always a very friendly helpful clean marina. easy access fuel dock. can hitch a ride to the resturant with the ranger.

Always enjoy our stay here, 2015-10-15
Captain: , Owensboro, KY (20)

Our son enjoys staying on the boat here, while the rest of us enjoy a walk or ride to the lodge. The folks at both the marina and lodge are extremely friendly and helpful. Borrowed a pigtail for free from the marina. Charged less than the posted rate each time we visited. (not sure if this was because we also stayed at the lodge) Pretty quiet this time of year. A couple of Loopers stayed over each of our last two nights here. Food at the lodge is artery-clogging, country-good!!! "Twisted Chicken" night was packed with local residents. Wouldn't advise approaching the dock at the lodge during this time of the year. Quite shallow. Got our tender stuck on the way around from the marina. (It's not a short trip even under the best of conditions. Just tried it for fun.)

Love this dockage, 2015-10-07
Captain: , Fort Worth, TX (450)

Easy in and out. Plenty of transient slips with plenty of depth. Fit our 46' easily. Nice floating docks. Alan is a wealth of information and knowledge regarding the area. His family history and knowledge of Land Between the Lakes was amazing, simply ask him. Marina and Forest Ranger drive you over and back for a meal at the Inn. Ask them to show you the Rapture Sanctuary and small cemetery on site. Very pet friendly area, very clean restrooms. Very good free wifi connection even from the farthest transiet slip and strong ATT signal. Public swimming pool on site. Plenty of white tail deer to watch.

Very helpful, 2015-09-23
Captain: , Racine, WI (371)

I needed to send a Chart Plotter back to Garmin, Rob Markum the Marina Manager was instrumental in getting my package shipped by UPS. He printed the mailing label and hand carried it to the hotel for pickup. The marina has a good ships store, is clean and well kept. We enjoyed our stay but were unable to go to the restaurant that I understand is excellent.

Nice, clean marina, 2015-06-27
Captain: , Green Cove Springs, FL (728)

Hot day and manager came out to help with lines. Very clean, marina took us to lodge for "Crazy Chicken" buffet- fried, smoked, tenders, dumplings-everything chicken. It was very good at a great price. Ranger took us back to Marina. Will stop again.

Great Location and Great Scenery, 2014-10-29
Captain: , Green Cove Springs FL (1394)

Arrived 10-28-14 after a short 43 mile run from Green Turtle Bay.
Easy entry, well marked channel and plenty of space for our MT50. Note if draft is much over 5 ft ask to tie along side across from fuel dock. Slips are about 60 x 20 but ends of fingers have a 5 ft V-Brace going down connecting adjacent finger. Locked Security Gate to Docks. Staff: Ken, Allen and Candice very helpful and make you feel right at home. Good help receiving dock lines. Saw white tail deer on a walk in Daylight. Peaceful and restfull stop. Great place to spend a nice after noon. Would give 5 Stars if T.V. cable was available.

Great stop after anchoring out, 2014-10-23
Captain: , Nowhere,OK (1314)

Nice facility, great rate at $1 per foot. Little store is nice and they will drive you over to the buffet for dinner.

A good stop on the river, 2014-10-23
Captain: , Charlestown (946)

The staff was helpful and the docks were in good shape. The bathroom and shower were clean. The ship's store had plenty of stock. This facility, in my opinion, could have used another restroom and shower and perhaps another washer and dryer. No shopping around for groceries, which really would have given it a solit 4 star.

fresh update, 2014-10-17
Captain: , Holland (270)

all the previous reviews are true. this is a good stop for slow boats leaving GTB. it's true, one shower, you might have to wait and after closing time the shower is the only head unless you walk across the street to a campground type head. the lodge is waklable, maybe 10 or 15 min. or have the ranger come get you. on our night a pretty good buffet was $10 and a generous glass of chardonnay was $6. they had 50 to 30 adaptors no charge.

Nice Park Setting easy in and out, 2014-10-16
Captain: , Gulf Breeze, Fl (6909)

Came in 10-15-14, Nice stop at a $1.00 a foot power included. Clean bathrooms great wifi . Channel depth is very good and well marked as a USCG bouy tender is based here.

Nice quiet stop, 2014-09-29
Captain: , Venice, Fl. (949)

Very nice state park marina. lots of dock space and very well protected. Not much around close by.

Quick stop, 2014-08-29
Captain: , Vero Beach, FL (654)

Clean facility, however it's in the middle of no where. Good by a state parks standards, and most importantly they sell BEER!

Great Stop, 2014-06-19
Captain: , scottsboro, Al. (141)

First rate SP Marina. Laundry room cold a/c and reasonable rates. Transient docks security gated.
Ranger on call for rides to Lodge restaurant with scenic view. We dined on Tuesday Crazy Chicken night, great salad bar, three varities of chicken, and all the trimmings, warm peach coobler and vanilla ice cream hit the spot and prices are VERY reasonable.

Good stop from Green Turtle Bay, 2013-10-16
Captain: , Dataw Island, SC (290)

Watch your way coming in. Well protected and good 30 & 50 amp electrical. Only access after hours is to 1 restroom/shower. Lot of empty slips and if you arrive after 4pm can use long dock parallel to fuel dock or fuel dock itself. Nice park area for walking. Did not use restaurant due to hearing poor reviews.

Great place to stop!, 2013-09-26
Captain: , Illinois (2471)

Great place to spend the night. Good food at the resort restaurant and the rangers will even give you a ride there. Facilities are clean and the help friendly.
Rates have changed to $1.00 per foot with electric and $.75 per foot without.
Clean showers, modern wide docks.
Most transient power units are 50 amp. They have adapters if you need them.

Rates have increased, 2013-09-05
Captain: , Cleveland, OH (344)

Dockage is now $ 1.00 per foot and the laundry is $ 2.00 per load.

Great Deal and Nice Place to Stay, 2012-11-05
Captain: , Detroit (767)

Can't beat the price, but staff was friendly and the Inn was nice. Ranger was very accomodating with taking us back and forth. BUT - we could not raise anyone on a radio and basically docked where we wanted to and there is only one bathroom with a shower so you may have wait in line. Docks are nice floating type and well maintained. I would not compare it to Geen Turtle or Grand Harbor.

Good Choice, 2012-10-07
Captain: , Aquia Harbour, VA (1177)

Transient slips are about 70 fee long and 20-22 ft wide. Stayed 3 nights. Charged us $0.70 per ft. for the first 2 nights and $0.50 per ft. for the 3rd night. Electric and cable are included. Has everything that Green Turtle Bay Marina has except a spa. Ate in the restaurant. A park ranger will give you a ride to the restaurant. We went for a weekday buffet. Food is good but not fancy. There is a 10% senior discount. Wine is $6.50 a glass. Laundry room was clean and only a short walk from the marina. Better value than Green Turtle Bay Marina, but no pork chops from Patti's.

Nice Place, 2012-09-18
Captain: , Cincinnati (1810)

Marina is clean and well kept. Staff went above and beyond by sending our spliter to us after we left it accendentally. Ranger will pick you up at the marina and take you to the park lodge for thier restaurant.

PS. We have now stayed here three times. Still a nice place.

Cant beat it with a stick !, 2012-09-18
Captain: , Cape Coral FL (4187)

Cost me $28 for our 41 Ft trawler to overnight here, including electric. Heck, the robbers in Chicago charged us $20/day just for electric !!! Very nice marina, fairly empty floating transient docks, very nice stone decking, long finger piers. Securty gate on dock, laundry is $1, restaurant down the street at the lodge and state rangers will take you and pick you up. The buffet is $9. Marina has free WiFi. How can this be beat? Cheapest dock we have stayed at so far. Tell all your friends.

Good Stop on TN, 2012-09-02
Captain: , punta gorda, fl (1448)

Nice well protected transient docks. Good staff but no help with docking. Adequate heads but only one shower. Rangers will transport you to and from the restaurant at the main lodge. Seafood buffet was very good.

Very pleasant stop, 2011-11-04
Captain: , Gulf Breeze, FL (603)

We were stuck here for a couple of days because of bad weather. Good facilities and nice people, The lodge and restaurant are not close but the park rangers will pick you up and bring you back from the lodge. Enterprise will come to the marina and the town is very pleasant and has good shopping including package stores.

Hey, this is a very nice marina!, 2011-10-17

Newly renovated with deep water access. Fuel and small store available. Had a great stay. Safe secure and calm.

Quiet Stop, 2011-10-12

Clean, not fancy, 2011-10-04

All the basics are here. Very econimical dockage. Park/Marina staff are very friendly and helpful. No shopping nearby. State owned convention hotel across the highway has a nice buffet for $8.00.

Nice Facility, 2011-09-26
Captain: , Marthas Vineyard (506)

Big slips, easy to access, reasonably priced dockage and fuel, clean facility, nice small marine/convenience store -- this park also has a big hotel with nice dining room, camping facilities, lots of acres to walk, laundry facilities, clean restrooms, and very helpful personnel.

One of the Best, 2011-08-12
Captain: , Franklin Tn (441)

Marina staff are super friendly, clean showers, laundry. Rangers provide free rides to and from the Lodge for a reasonably priced buffet. Slips are behind locked gates. Only down side, supplies are limited, many fishing tournaments held in late spring.

Enjoyed our stay, 2011-06-15

many, many other marinas should look at this. Good docks, clean baths, cheap laundry, killer buffets at the lodge. If fuel was cheaper, I'd ask Jeff for 6 stars
