Reviews for Palon Marina
Peaceful place, 2016-08-01
Captain: , Herzelia (156)

Peaceful, good protection, shallow on the South side of the entrance. Remain close to breakwater. Rent a car and explore the island. Volcani is anazing and Mandaraki is beutiful.

Entry to the Harbour turns out to be very tricky. Got stuck with a Lagoon 421 which only has 1,26m depth. Stay most right and the it should work.

Pali Harbour, Nisyros, 2014-05-23
Captain: , Amsterdam (1231)

A small, pieceful port for cruisers.
Protected marina, just enough deep for sailboats on the wave-breaker side, a bit less deep at the village side.

Rent a car and observe the island. The steaming Volcano and walking in the sulphur covered crater is an experience.

The small historic village on the top of the mountain behind the volcano is a must to see. Definitely sit down and have a drink at the simple coffee house at the old village square with locals. You will be going back to medeival times.

Mandraki is the biger harbour but not advised for sailboats. Cruizers stay at Pali.

Captain's restaurant is simple, friendly and delicious

Great safe harbour, 2013-09-15
Captain: , Fremantle, West Australia (1448)

Little changed from the previous reviews. Good holding, stern-to. The electricity/water at E10 per day is a little steep but then the berth is free. The volcano is a great attraction - we hired scooters for E15 per day and rode up. Also a neolithic fortress, well preserved, in the west. Can get very crowded, as it is right now in a big blow, but good protection.

Paloi Herbst 2013, 2013-02-11
Captain: , Konstanz (258)

Paloi Marina, 2012-07-17
Captain: , Poert Saint Louis (14)

We wintered here the 2010/2011 season from november till april. It's a very safe harbour even in strong northerly. Many thanks to Zambica and Nicos in Aphrodity restaurant and Mike at Eagels Nest car rental for all the help and hospitality. We will never forget that winter in Nisyros. It's one of the most fantastic islands in Greece.

Palon Marina, Nisiros, 2012-04-20
Captain: , Herzelia (51)

The marina in Palon, Nisiros is very recommended. The docking is med-style, can go bow\stern to the pier. Water & Electricity for every boat, 10 eur for 24hr.
This is the only yacht marina in Nisiros. Don't go the Mandraki- it's only for ferrys.
Take a bike\car and visit the volcano carater, the kastelo(castle) and the peacefull cities in the tiny island.
