Reviews for Palm Harbor Marina
First class facility, 2016-03-05
Captain: , Ft Lauderdale (30)

Great floating docks, clean, and nice staff. A 2 minute walk to fun retaurants and in general just a fun place to hang out. Tight security too.

The only hassle is the Flagler bridge contruction which will be going on from now until the end of time. You have to deal with it if coming from the North. Openings are at :15 every hour except 8:15 and 16:15.

Great spot.

First Class Winter Home, 2016-02-11
Captain: , Newport RI (247)

You need to be willing to pay the price however this has been my second winter season here and I would not consider anywhere else.
This is as nice of a marina as you can find. Concrete docks are impeccable. Transient slips available. Slips are large with more room boat to boat than I have seen anywhere. Dock hands are very courteous and helpful. Power is good without interruption 50-100-3ph. WiFi is slow and spotty. Water pressure is great. In slip pump out. Security is tight. All docks have automatic gates that require key cards. Amenities are clean and nice. Laundry is poor as there is one residential duty washer and one dryer for the entire facility (be prepared to wait and wait and wait for an opening. The marina is a 5 min ride from the airport and a short walk from Clematis Street which offers a large variety of bars and restaurants. The park at the east end of Clematis Street has an endless schedule of seasonal and entertainment activities planned and produced as professionally as a rock concert. Weekend offer a farmers market that will rival any. City place is a free short trolley ride away with every store and restaurant you would typically find in a super mall.

If your looking for a winter home or grate stop over you cant go wrong here.

Very nice facility...EXPENSIVE, 2015-11-29

I stayed here for a few months over the summer. Plenty of space to fit my cat. Nice showers, laundry, wifi okay, small, but adequate gym. Very close to a fun town...Clematis Street and City Place..easy, safe bike ride. Also nice biking along the ICW. Oct. 1, they tripled my dockage...because they can!

Absolutely First Class, 2015-11-02
Captain: , Erie, Pa. (1796)

Finest Marina I have seen from a marina aspect. Great large concrete floating docks, lots of power, 50-100-100, 3 phase. Great water pressure, water depth 10-12 feet at low on approach and at docks. October 2013.

11-2-15 Stayed 2 nights nothng changed, great marina, great location.
2.50 ft is winter rate for 76 feet and 25% Boat US discount plus power, free pump out and nice gift. Great facility at a great location and price is fair.

Great Loacation & Service, 2015-08-10
Captain: , Palm City FL (134)

We visit this location several times each year - both to and from the Bahamas and to enjoy long weekends in Palm Beach.

Great loacation, nice facilities and attentive staff - one of our favorite marinas.

Palm Harbor Marina, 2015-08-07
Captain: , Cape Cod (101)

After being in the Bahamas for 4 months and being at anchor 98% of that time it was nice to hook the power in and get air conditioning. I was here during June-July and it was hot so the a/c was needed. I had some services done which is easy here as contractors are here all the time working. The staff is excellent and the deli and captains room is excellent. The location is perfect to Clematis Street and you can find everything in the area (Publix). A short and cheap Uber ride will take you to malls, outlets, west marine, home depot, etc. The cost was very affordable as it was off season and very quiet which I liked. One of the best marinas I have stayed in.

Excellent way to see West Palm, 2015-07-31
Captain: , Miami, FL (20)

Came up from our base in Ft. Lauderdale for a mini vacation. Excellent location, excellent service and facilities. There is a lot of current though so beware.

Great Location, 2015-01-12
Captain: , Newport, RI (310)

Right in the middle of all the shopping and restaurants - the marina itself has great security and high quality floating docks. Highly reccomended.

very nice, 2014-05-19
Captain: , Orange Beach Alabama (90)

Location was great. Lots of retaurants and bars within walking distance. Wish there had been one on site. We wanted to leave early for Key Largo but the fuel dock didn't open until 9. That put us under the bridge at the 10:15 opening.

Sunfest late April, 2014-04-24
Captain: , Essex, CT (223)

Dockhands were good at helping us tie up in strong wing and current. Docks are lovely, noise from bridge project is not! Most amenities are for the megayachts. Wifi was ok at end of B dock. Free trolley starts at 1100 and one of the stops is right in front of a Publix, next block is CityPlace with many stores and restaurants.
Sunfest with 50 bands, art show, fireworks starts 4/30 this year.
You can anchor near the Municipal docks to the south and dingy to their dock when they are not closed for an event. Of course then you would miss the glossy brochure and tote bag........
June 1 - October 1 you buy one night and get the next free.

Excellent & Convenient to WPB, 2014-01-03
Captain: , St. Louis, MO (970)

Clean and well managed, the large well-built floating docks can accommodate any size vessel.

The slips for smaller vessels at the north end (A Dock) near the channel are subject to a wicked current that will get your attention at all but slack tides.

New bridge construction at nearby Flagler Memorial will take a toll on peace and quiet for some extended time especially at the northern docks. Construction in late December, 2013 is working its way from the Palm Beach side and will be a factor for the northern precincts of the marina at some point.

Nevertheless, this must be one of the best urban marinas anywhere with easy access to all the happenings and great restaurants in West Palm Beach. Safe biking and walking trails are found along the attractive and extensive Lake Worth waterfront.

Palm Harbor Marina, 2013-12-10
Captain: , kailua-kona (12)

Excellent facility, showers are a little dormitory and only one washerand dryer. Location (Prime) right off Clamatis Ave. Rates are $2.30 a ft. Won't be dissapointed.

This is as good as it gets..., 2013-11-27
Captain: , Annapolis (160)

We just arrived here for the season after a fun ride down the coast from Annapolis. We have stayed in some first class marinas over the years but Palm Harbor is a new level. The marina construction could not be higher quality. Amenities are outstanding. Service offered by the roving staff in carts is top-drawer. Security gates, cameras and a short walk down town.
Fitness center on site, store, yacht club lounge...

Quiet and safe, 2013-10-20
Captain: , Fort Lauderdale (261)

We have just stayed here and found it very quiet and safe. Even with the intracoastal waterway close the wakes are dampened by the sustaintial concrete floating docks. Security is active and patrols the docks during the night. About 1/2 full, mainly will long term boats.

The newer marina docks extend further out than shown on the charts. The T-Heads are right next to the channel now so there is no longer a constricted entrance. The entire marina is now 11 feet in depth at low water. Most slips are extra wide to provide some room when entering during higher currents. The floating docks have a height of around two feet make access easier than most docks.

Staff was attentive, provided golf car rides to assist with baggage or other items. They came and performed a pumpout for us when requested.

The reason I did not give it five stars was that a chandler is not close and the current can limit time of berthing for sailboats without bow thrusters.

Still nice but slipping, 2013-06-06
Captain: , Key Largo (152)

When first opened seemed to be the new standard for upscale marinas. First class floating docks, good service and services, etc. but it now feels a bit tired .. Fuel pricing a joke .. We got 3 different price quotes in 24 hours from them. .. All different and all high .. And would not fuel before 10 AM! Dockhands not attentive. But the restaurant and bar seen nearby continues to improve .. So we will see ...

High-end marina, very nice, 2013-05-01
Captain: , Scottsdale (320)

We stayed here for two nights. The facilities and service were fantastic, but you pay for them.

It's best if you time your arrival and departure when the current is minimal.

Within walking distance there are plenty of good places to eat, but the free shuttle routes allow more selections and the drivers were great in answering our questions.

The perfect Marina, 2013-03-16
Captain: , lighthouse point (289)

Stunning docks, great looking power pedistal and trash bins. The staff is great and very attentive, a little pricey but worth to bucks if you are looking for a upscale night or two

Terrific marina, 2013-03-12
Captain: , Corona del Mar, CA (30)

One of our favorite marinas. Not cheap but worth it. Good amenities - free washer and dryer, good showers, daily newspaper, work out room with lovely view, free computers and printer, good wifi, comfortable lounge with big screen tvs, helpful staff. The marina is a short walk into town where things are popping - lots of events in the park, great farmers market, many restaurants. Slightly longer walk, or short bike ride, to excellent Norton Art Museum. Can also easily walk or ride bike across bridge to Palm Beach proper with its upscale shops and elegant Breakers Hotel.

Great staff and facility, 2013-03-06
Captain: , Bluffton, South Carolina (327)

Stayed 2/21 and 2/26/13. Wonderful docks with great security and plenty of maneuvering room. First class reataurants a couple of blocks away. Dock staff highly professional and helpful. Minor criticism is laundry facility; one w/d for a large facility and essentially useless unless you want to make laundry a day job.

5 star marina!, 2012-12-11
Captain: , Palm Beach, FL (48)

This is one of the nicest marinas in South Florida. I may be a little biased because I was involved in the facelift of the marina in 2009. Regardless, the location is great, within walking distance to numerous restaurants, bars, movie theaters etc. The docks are amazing, very wide floating docks and extremely well built. There is a beautiful lounge area with big screen tv, bar area, showers, etc. They do cater to larger vessels and it's not cheap, but that's about the only gripe.

Nice facility a bit pricey, 2012-11-19
Captain: , Annapolis (442)

Nov 13 2012. Tried to get fule and showers. Fuel was no problem, but showers were not available unless you rented a slip. Nice folks let us stay tied up until rush hour was over.

Hard to Beat, 2012-04-14
Captain: , Nyack, NY (556)

We do not often stay at marinas, but this first class facility in a first class location with a friendly helpful staff cant be beat. $1.25 a foot plus electric buys new wide floating concrete docks, recreation/ workout / wifi center, daily paper, reasonable deli service, security to the max, front row view of the Mega Yacht World and nearby Clematis street eateries. Would spend more time here in the future.

Palm Harbor Internet. , 2012-04-04
Captain: , Houston (240)

I agree with everything said. My only complaint was lousy Internet service. They claim it but it doesn't work. Other than that possibly the best overall marina we've ever been to and we will come back.

Great stay, 2012-02-29
Captain: , Hyannis Port (111)

This our second winter season on the docks. We spent time here in 2010 and now again in 2012 for the winter months. It is an excellent facility with many sites and shopping within walking distance.
Since they serve the mega yachts they also extend those same amenities to the smaller yachts. Staff is great, courteous and helpful. They have now opened a small shop with beers and wines and some snacks, Lunch time on certain days you can buy deli sandwiches to order. Two Publix markets one a trolley ride, one across the bridge in Palm Beach. Facilities and docks are class A.
In 2010 we decided to stay here for at least a month. Shopping and restaurants are close by. New city water front and park. Security gates. Many ammenities all new. Pump out at the slip. Minimum footage about 45 ft electical is 50amp minimum at most slips. 30amp at a few on the edge.

S/V Summer Time

a favorite destination, 2012-02-17
Captain: , Indian Harbour Beach, FL (101)

I want to echo Steve Russel's review. Whatever you need, you call and they make it happen with a genuine smile and great attitude. We also liked the fact that they work well with Hertz, so renting a car is a breeze. What would be the icing on the cake would be a classy bar/pool to socialize with others when in the mood.
Great place to watch the fireworks - spent last 4th there, no need to go anywhere and have the best seat in the house!

Hard to beat, 2012-02-13
Captain: , Boca Raton, FL (935)

A little pricey but well worth it. The help is far beyond what you normally expect. They are so helpful they'll wear the golf carts out pretty soon. Need a ride from the dock.. give them a call. Need a pumpout.. give them a call. They are everywhere. Well gated, parking good, Clamatis street is right there with all you need for food and entertainment. Currents on the outer docks can be challenging but for the docks running North and South, its not a problem docking.

Fabulous in almost every respect, 2012-01-15
Captain: , PooleUK (933)

What a releif to find a well sheltered marina, with floating docks, stable power and wifi, with fabulous staff in a wonderful location.
From Alaska to Panama and from Key West to Annapolis, this is the best marina we have used in the USA.
If I were to suggest that the marina store carry some more appropriate goods and please a swimming pool would make it perfect!

Good marina to spend time, 2011-11-04
Captain: , Nashville, TN (290)

Docks are floating so no line adjustments, concrete fingers, facilities are good with great access to shopping and groceries, free trolley to shops.New clubhouse with great facilities although laundry limited. Locked gates to docks.

Outstanding, 2011-08-28
Captain: , New Port, RI (134)

We spent 4 days there in Feb. and the marina ficilities are first rate with new floating docks. They have meeting rooms available of club gatherings and a seperate captain/crew area. Walking distance to good resturants and shopping.

Top Draw Marina!, 2011-05-28
Captain: , Pentwater, MI (415)

One of the top marinas we have stayed at in the last year. Docks are second to none. Free laundry, pump out at dock. Reasonable rates given location. Downtown West Palm is great and a just a short distance away.

Great Stop and Will Stop Again, 2011-05-24
Captain: , Josephine Alabama (183)

This is a great marina! Close to restaurants/shopping in downtown W. Palm Beach. The facilities are first rate and the marina personnel are very accommodating and helpful. Good security and all for $1.25/ft plus elec. We enjoyed our stay and would have stayed longer if we had the time. Will definitely plan to stop there again.

Great Marina Great Location, 2011-05-14
Captain: , Rowayton, CT (181)

Starting May 1st the overnight charge went from $2.25/ft to $1.25/ft with a $15/day charge for electricity. They have floating docks, a fantastic lounge with 2 wide TVs and showers and a free Palm Beach Post everyday. There is a little shop to get sodas, beer etc. People couldn't be nicer. It is very convient to Clematis Street with many restaurants etc and the Park where they frequently have concerts. There is a free trolly that will take you to City Place and Publics etc.

Very nice facility, but with some annoying business practices, 2011-03-21
Captain: , Marblehead, MA (926)

When I called for a reservation they said that they had no room. I called back 15 minutes later to ask whether we could land a dingy, they said no, but then said that they did have room for our 56 ft. boat. They seemed to have at least a dozen docks open overnight that night.

Told us to proceed into the fairway between rows of slips and look for the dock attendent. We did, but the dock attendent didn't show up until we were halfway down the fairway, and then we had to back past about 10 slips we had passed in a 2.5 knot cross current. The fairways will seem generously wide at slack water, but not at max current.

Rebuilt Marina, 2011-03-04
Captain: , San Francisco, CA (211)

First stop since complete rebuilding. No complaints. Staff, facilities and location great. Clementis Street at the south end of the marina is a "happening" place. Free trolley to city place another happening place. Stayed an extra day.

We'll be back!, 2011-02-16
Captain: , Longboat Key, FL (944)

We arrived late (after hours and in the dark) but were given excellent docking instructions beforehand. With floating docks with LONG finger piers, we were able to secure our lines without issue (and without help). The next morning, a staff member came to check on us, bring us a paper and ask if there was anything we needed. Other than a long walk from the docks, the faciilites are very nice and well maintained. Easy access to West Palm restaurants and shopping a big plus. We will return... and hopefully, not be so late!

Best stop in Palm Beach, 2010-05-18
Captain: , Dallas Tx (539)

Beautiful marina in a great location. Bike or trolly to City Place Mall or the Clamatis Street business district. Bike to Palm Beach shopping or beaches across the bridge. Palm Beach has miles of beautiful jogging and bike paths along the Lake Worth shore. West Palm offers good shopping, dining and bars.

Marina staff was excellent. You couldn't ask for a cleaner facility.

Beautiful new facility, 2010-04-10
Captain: , Charlottesville, Va (91)

All new floating docks about as wide as a city street. Lounge & bath facilities first rate. Trolley 2 blocks away (free) runs to huge mall with Publix & upscale stores. Several restaurants within a block or two. Palm Beach an easy bike ride across the bridge. Good grass for dogs near the dock, though the shore can be a long walk from your slip! Great staff.

Rebuilt, reopened., 2010-01-15
Captain: , Ft. Lauderdale (1134)

The marina has been completely rebuilt with concrete floating docks, excellent power, water, cable TV & phone, and pump out connections at each slip. We were there with several other boats and paid $2.25/ft plus $25/day for 50 amp power. Friendly staff, with dock crew that knows what to do. Attractive facility within easy walk of numerous shops and resturants.

Marina closed, 2008-12-18
Captain: , Charleston, SC (364)

Palm Harbor closed on December 15, 2008 for a planned eleven month renovation.

Great location, good value, 2008-11-10
Captain: , Miami, fl (3544)

nov 08: Stopped there again, place was empty. They were about to shut it down for a complete rebuilt, along with some shoreside development (hotel with amenities for the marina like pool). The docks were more than tired so the rebuilt is much needed. They expected to be closed for a year though...

feb 08: Great location and good value. The Clematis area is just 2 blocks away with many restaurants and shops, City Place (restaurants and shops) is also within walking distance.

Slip are very wide although docks have seen better days. Fuel was reasonable ($3.40 in feb 08), no pump out though.

Transient rate in the $2 range, not bad for West Palm.

just off the ICW, making it an easy stop.

Sorry, wrong facility, 2008-03-21

Convenient and friendly, 2008-03-08
Captain: , Kiawah Island, SC (152)

This is a good stop for the Palm Beach area. Close to restaurants and other activities. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Right on the ICW with clearly marked channel.

The marina docks are in real need of upgrading. The decks are uneven and in poor shape. All that said, it is worth a stop and it wasn't difficult to get a slip.
