Plenty of water. Reported to have at least 17 feet. The entrance to the marina is hard to distinguish when approaching as the breakwater blends with the shoreline. The marina restaurant has a bright red awning that provides an easy to follow lead until close enough to see the entrance.

National Naval Aviation Museum is 15 minutes away by car - definitely worth it!

Take a walk up Palafox street from the marina and enjoy the restaurants, botiques, and bars. Walk east to the Pensacola Historic Village and explore some of Pensacola's incredible history. It is America's first settlement. If you do rent a car, take a trip out to Fort Pickens, part of the Gulf Islands National Seashore and a civil war era fort. Geronimo was once held here and the fort was once one of three guarding the entrance to Pensacola pass. The beaches are untouched and great for playing or surf fishing, the history is awesome, and it's worth the 20 minute drive.

Reviews for Palafox Pier and Yacht Harbour Marina
great stop, 2017-07-01
Captain: , Cypress, Texas (20)

Needed a place to stop with a radar out. Ron went out of his way to accomodate our boat. Best place so far on the Gulf Coast to get stranded while getting repair work done. Georges Marine Electronics managed the radar repair and all was doen in a professional manner. Also had Flat Island Boat Works do some comestic gelcoat touchup and the color match is perfect.

Good slips, 2017-06-11
Captain: , Merritt Island, FL (556)

Stayed here May 15-17 and again on June 8, 2017. The slips and floating docks are very good. The staff are friendly, and actually know how to tie-up a boat. Good security. Showers and laundry located in a nearby restaurant building. Marina near old downtown Pensacola.

Overpriced, 2017-01-26
Captain: , Winthrop Harbor (130)

As marinas go Palafox was nothing outstanding. Bathrooms and showers were shared with Jaco's and could use some cleaning and updating. The price was high at $2.25 per foot but it was convient to resturants in downtown Pensacola. Next time I would use the free pier in the south west courner of the harbor and find a cheaper marina or anchor out.

Great location for Downtown P'cola, 2017-01-03
Captain: , Nashville, TN (273)

Stayed for 1 night on Dec. 27. Docmaster Ron met us at the dock to assist, very helpful and welcoming. Marina does not give Boat US or AGLCA discounts but gave us a fair rate for our short stay. Floating docks in great shape and cant beat the location for walking downtown P'cola. Short Uber ride to Joe Patti's for seafood market, but get there before 6! Lots of local "tourists" walking around on breakwall walkway but no problems. Restaurant was closed that night so it was quite, would have been different if open as we were along side the restaurant patio.

Absolutely Outstanding!, 2016-12-11
Captain: , Pensacola, FL (523)

Stayed here for more than a year and it couldn't be better. Great location near Jaco's Bayfront Grill and downtown Pensacola. Ron the dockmaster is the BEST there is. By far the best marina on the gulf coast!

excellent help, 2016-11-23
Captain: , Galveston, TX (10)

Docking is always a pleasure here. Unfortunately, rates have gone up again. Now 2.25 per foot. High price considering the status of the restrooms and showers. We will probably not stay here again. There are too many good anchorages nearby.

Great Marina, 2016-07-27
Captain: , Freeport (141)

We docked here after a 4 day trip from Galveston. Ron and Jeff are the best dock hands. They were very helpful in getting us tied up and were very helpful in getting us in contact for some repairs e needed from our trip. Nice location with lots of restaurants in walking distance. They do have an office in a floating building and we were able to get some medical equipment sent to there office for us to pickup. Will definitely be back.

Great location and friendly staff, but lacks amenities, 2016-06-28
Captain: , United States (3192)

We stopped here for a couple of days so I could make a quick trip out of Pensacola International. They have great concrete floating docks in a protected basin, with modern utlity connections.

That said, there is no lounge or other common area, not even an office, just a dockmaster's shack. We asked if we could have some mail and packages delivered, and the lack of any kind of office presence had us scrambling with both the post office and UPS to get our items; three different businesses share the same street address, and most of our mail ended up at the medical services office above the restaurant. The marina restrooms are shared by the restaurant with predictable results.

When we booked we had expected a $1.50/ft rate, which would have been reasonable. When we arrived we learned the rate had just skyrocketed to $2/ft, a 33% increase, with power going up by a similar margin. At a top-shelf price there really should be some amenities.

We did eat a couple of times at the restaurant (not related), which was quite good desite less than stellar Yelp reviews.

Very very nice docks., 2016-05-15
Captain: , Illinois (2523)

Docks were cleaned daily when we were there. Ron the Dockmaster was courteous and helpful. The facility overall was clean.
The on site restaurant was just ok. Prices didn't reflect quantity or quality.
Transient discounts would be appreciated.
We'll try the competition next time we're in the area.

Great Marina, but..., 2016-04-16
Captain: , Pensacola, FL (164)

This marina has a terrific location right in the heart of downtown Pensacola, with loads of things to see and do within a 15 minute walk. The people that manage the marina are great, always helpful and pleasant. We lived here for 15 months while readying our boat for an extended Caribbean cruise, and enjoyed it immensely. The marina technically doesn't allow liveaboards, but they have a "we see nothing" approach to it as long as you're quiet about it and don't cause problems. If you're staying through the winter, try and get one of the slips on "E" dock that's tucked below the building on the north side of the marina - it shields you from the strong northers that blow through. We'd often be seeing 20+ knot winds on our masthead instrument as fronts passed, but it would be calm down in the cockpit thanks to the building blocking the wind.

Having said that, however, the marina does have a few drawbacks. First, there were some problems with theft in the marina. We had an envelope of cash stolen from onboard while we were up at the laundry room, and from then on we had to always lock up the boat if we were ever going to be more than a few feet away. And it helps if you're self sufficient. The marina only has a single washer and dryer, which is way too few for a facility of this size, sometimes leading to laundry struggles. And the men's room has only a single toilet stall, which is shared with Jaco's, the adjacent restaurant. Kitchen staff would often be camped out in the toilet for extended periods, and my success rate at being able to walk up and use the toilet was probably about 50%. There is also only one shower, which is again nowhere near adequate for a facility with over 100 slips.

But if you can shower and use the toilet onboard, and don't need to do laundry often, it's hard to beat Palafox Pier if you're stopping in Pensacola.

Jeff the harbormaster is a the best there is. Super helpful always with a smile. Restaurants within walking distance. Enterprise car rental will pick you up so you can rent a car to visit the Naval Air Museum or the beaches. Restrooms and showers are shared with a restaurant but are kept clean.

Exceptional Dockmaster, 2016-01-07
Captain: , Paducah KY (183)

Ron is one of the best I have seen at making you feel welcome and showing you around upon arrival. Nice easy entrance and well maintained floating docks. The only drawback would be the 208Volt power.

This is a very nice marina but the location really makes it great. It's an easy walk or bike ride to the many things to see in Pensacola. The staff is fantastic and stopped every day to chat and see if we needed anything while we were there.

Captain: , Portland,Oregon (330)

We were only going to stop over for a night. But Ron the dock master informed us about the town and events that were coming up. This guy is a 10! We would have missed out on a really cool town if we did not stay. Thanks Ron!

Uber around to get your groceries. Bike or better yet walk up into the town and enjoy the atmosphere. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Secure harbor, limited shower/laundry, 2015-11-18
Captain: , Iuka, MS (1130)

We stayed 3 nights due to weather. Pensacola offers plenty to do, thankfully. Very protected basin and spotless docks. Too bad the restrooms, showers, and laundry are so limited: just one men's shower and only one washer/dryer. No one was monitoring the VHF on our arrival, but was able to reach harbormaster via phone, so that didn't cause an issue.

Third time here in four years and only gets better. Ron, answered calls right away, met us at fuel dock and then came to the overnight slip and settled us in. Pointed out a couple of places to each besides Jaco which we did for dinner (very good) and Schucks for raw oysters (best I have had in a long time) Highly recommend it.

Great Stop, 2015-07-09
Captain: , Corpus Christi (240)

The location makes this marina a great stop. We spent 2 months here visiting Pensacola and the surrounding area. You can walk to a variety of great eateries. Dont miss McGuire's Irish Pub. Its a long walk from the marina but you'll need the walk back to settle all of the food.

Great location, great marina and great service, 2015-06-12
Captain: , Destin, fl (40)

Stayed at Palofax on 6/7. Easily found the marina, Ron on the dock directed us to a slip and was right there to help us get tied up. He is an extremely helpful person, both with the boat and the local area. The marina is spotless, the docks are in excellent shape and the location is fantastic. This will be our Pensacola destination any time we come back.

We stayed at Palafox from Mar.8-Mar.30 and had a great time. The pier is located very near to downtown and walking distance to some fun happenings and great entertainment! People very friendly and lots going on. Captain Ron and Keegan were great to work with and very capable with all of the boats. Floating docks in great shape with nice bathrooms and showers and laundry at the neighboring Jaco's Restaurant. Don't miss the Dueling Pianos at the Seville Quarter! Great fun!!

Very good marina, 2015-03-10
Captain: , Monroeville, AL (151)

A good marina, with a top notch and very helpful staff. Fuel on the docks, very good floating docks, deep water slips. Next door to a nice restaurant, and the view is tough to beat. The dockmaster, Ron, is a great asset.

Ron, Harbormaster, MAKES this marina., 2015-01-26
Captain: , Jacksonville, FL (370)

We spent 10 weeks there having canvas and strataglass work done. Tony, of Coastal Canvas, worked diligently to complete our requests. He's VERY particular and my husband is very anal so they made a great team. Had some stainless fabrication done and Tony and his employee, Glen, did a better job than we'd even envisioned. There aren't enough positive words to describe their imagination, artistry, creativity, and craftsmanship----an extremely rare trait these days. We left yesterday morning--a bitter-sweet departure. Their wifi is spotty but their IT person was always willing to tweek it once more to make it useable. There is one washer and dryer in a little housekeeping room housing a big sink and a big mop and bucket. No place to fold and definitely NOT ideal but it was a short walk from our slip. Ever'Man, an organic grocery store is a short walk away and soon there will be a Publix on Cervantes St, pretty close by. Pensacola Public Bus Service leave a lot to be desired. They may show up hourly but then again they may not. There is a dependable bus from near the marina to NAS and we used that and that driver is very conscientious about his route. Despite sketchy service, every driver we encountered was very helpful and when I'd call the Transfer Station, the women who answered always bent over backwards to be helpful. Yellow Cab is very dependable. As the last reviewer stated, do NOT miss Joe Patti's. That's an amazing place and is intersting in afternoons and weekends just to stand there and watch the throngs of people and how quickly they are navigated through their purchase. Shrimp are steamed according to your taste and at no charge. But back to Palafox Yacht Harbor---anything you need, Ron will make happen. He's wonderful and keeps a sharp eye out for the boat and its owners. We love Ron!

Loved this marina, 2015-01-20
Captain: , Pensacola,Fl (110)

Nice marina in a great location (pretty park, easy walk to downtown with good restaurants), well protected. While the bathrooms aren't ideal (shared with the restaurant, one shower each) and there isn't a handy grocery store, the service provided by dockmaster Ron more than makes up for it. Ever ready to help with anything, has a roster of good people for boat work, and keeps the docks spotless. We felt very comfortable leaving our boat there for a month while we made a trip home knowing that Ron would keep an eye on it.

If you go don't miss Joe Patti's seafood - less than a mile and has great fresh fish of all kinds plus a gourmet market. And the Naval Aviation Museum is worth figuring out how to get there.

Downtown location is very convenient, 2015-01-15
Captain: , Naples, FL (682)

This is a modern marina with floating docks in a convenient downtown location. It is protected by a good breakwater. Staff are friendly and helpful. Marina office closes at 1630 (in winter).

The marina has no loaner car. There is only a single male and single female shower but they are clean, in good repair and have stacks of hot water. There is a laundry.

Downtown Pensacola with its myriad of bars, tap houses and restaurants is a short stroll from the marina. We really enjoyed this town. There is no supermarket or foodstore nearby.

Palafox Pier and Yacht Harbour Marina, 2014-12-17
Captain: , Leamington, Ontario (710)

Nice facility, reasonable, deep access, floating docks. Well protected, good location close to restaurants. Docks are a little tight once you are into the 44+ boat range. Ron is one of those dockmasters who goes above and beyond, knows everyone in the boat maintenance end of things, has great connections. Great guy, awesome attitude! Only one shower, limited internet service at the slip.

Excellent Place, 2014-11-14
Captain: , Tarpon Springs (983)

Directed in by Ron who was there to take the lines. Great facilities and restaurant close to downtown. We enjoyed three days there immensely. Good price too, with the discount. Recommended.

Great Location for downtown poor services, 2014-10-30
Captain: , Gulf Breeze, Fl (6909)

This is a very protected downtown location that is closest to the bars, restuarants, theater and museums. Not near any real grocery store or other shopping other then high end clothing. This marina has nice floating docks with deep water but as mentioned before the bathrooms are public and shared with a bar restaurant and the showers (one each were filthy). Laundry is one machine each in a cuby hole space. The wifi was non functionsl. As with another poster I called and made a reservation a day ahead and was told to call the harbor master when approaching for dock infomation. I did but the dock master (who told me this) seemed not remember and said to come in to the fuel dock and he would figure out where to fit me in. The fuel dock had a research vessel on it so when I came in so instructions were shouted to me to go behind a large yacht which I did. I was asked if I needed docking help and I said no as the spot was an alongside dock albeit in an awkward corner. Disappointed in the "primo marina".

Nice Marina, 2014-10-25
Captain: , Houston, TX (170)

Nice marina with power, water, fuel and a very helpful staff. The shower/restroom is part of the restaurant and is busy Fri/Sat night. great place to be a part of the action. Lots of shops and restaurants 5-6 blocks away. The big drawback is the VERY large pipe boat docked nearby that makes a lot of noise and lights. Otherwise really great place to stop and stay awhile.

Boat Race Weekend at the Palafox Pier Marina, 2014-09-04
Captain: , Pensacola, FL (390)

This was my first stay at this Marina and I was happy with some things and dissapointed in others. I made reservations for 50 Amp service about 2 weeks prior to my arrival. The day of my arrival after hailing the marina for about 30 minutes I finally had someone respond. I wanted to know what slip I should go to and which side of the boat the finger pier would be on so I could make sure I had protective gear out. They could not tell me and told me to go to the gas dock. Upon arrival, the attendent shouted to me where to go. I went there and he very tentatively helped me land the vessel. The floating docks were in good shape and have nice long finger piers. They did not have an Active Captain discount, but did offer a 10% Boat US one.
The dissapointment started after that. The only 50 Amp service available was by a slip with a large yacht that had an empty connection. I had to run my shorepower 50 Amp cord across the dock to attach. It was a trip hazard and the yacht owner did not appreciate the cord being there. Next the Marina advertizes WiFI. They have it, but the signal was so weak and slow it was unusable. This added cost to my stay as I had to keep connected vis Cellular.
Next, I went to take a shower. The restroom and shower are part of Jaco's Restaurant. It is a one head toilet and very busy. The shower was behind another unmarked door. The shower was filthy with lots of leftover soaps and dried long hatched roach eggs on the edge of it.
This marina has great potential to be first class with some very minor changes. I will stay again, but I'll shower on the boat and hope they fix the WIFI.
The location to fun stuff Downtown Pensacola is worth the short walk and the few dissapointing issues.

Location! Location! Location!, 2014-07-05
Captain: , Jacksonville, FL (270)

Pensacola is my home town and we came back to visit for a month. Ron, dockmaster, and Lance, his assistant were wonderful and welcoming. Shower and laundry room not so hot. No place to fold and only 1 washer and 1 dryer wedged into utility room with utility sink. Restroom is open to people who work in offices in that building, restaurant staff and customers of Jaco's Restaurant. Only 1 shower per gender. Entrance gate has a code but think everybody and their brother have that code. Must move boat to fuel dock for pump out which is a pain. Despite all that, we look forward to returning.

Stayed 3 days and really enjoyed it. Close to several good restuarants. Ron the dockmaster does a great job and is attenive. Wiish I could have stayed longer, but as a transient, they were full up for the week end of July 4th. Well maintained and clean floating docks. I will return.

The Best marina in P'Cola, 2014-05-14

we limped into Palafox after being beat up by an unexpected offshore storm to re-coop ... Capt Ron provided names of several excellent repair people ... great help ... it seems like we will be here forever

The facilities are top knotch, and the nearby eateries and bars are great ... I even caught Capt Ron cleaning the head men's head ... that's service ... this my "go-to-place" in P'Cola

Docks were great, no issues and well protected.

Best marina to live and stay at in Pensacola., 2014-01-08
Captain: , Pensacola, FL (105)

I live aboard at this marina and wouldn't have it any other way. The dock master, Capt Ron and deck hand John are the best and are always willing to help. This is a great location for all kinds of entertainment from bars, restaurants, and shows with in walking distance. In the summer, you can catch a semi-pro baseball game next door too. Jacos Grille is on location and serves great food and drinks. Try the cucumber cooler. Food stores are a bit away but give Shore Line, across from Joe Patties on W Main St a shot, about a mile away. Joe Patties Seafood Market has the best seafood and sushi. You won't be sorry when staying here. The harbor is deep at 18' and is well protected.

Well worth a stop, 2014-01-05
Captain: , Port Aransas (992)

We spent a week here and Ron took great care of us. The marina is a five star with beautiful docks and lots of hefty cleats. The shower/restroom facility was clean. It is up at the gate with keypad access and shared with the restaurant but it wasn't a problem. The laundry machines were in the same place and we did have some trouble with the dryer but it seems that they fixed it once we reported the issue.

The pumpout and fuel station was easy to get to and Ron even flushed out our tanks. Nice touch. We got information about Florida cruising from him as it was our first stop in Florida coming from the West.

We explored the town and found a nice little Greek Grocery within bicycling distance. Don't miss stopping at Joe Patti's seafood market, it's an experience in itself.

We saw a show at the Pensacola Little Theatre and there are lots of bars and eateries on Palafox.

The approach was easy, stay off the shallows by hugging the Starboard wall. We had great protection from the winds with only a little swell that seemed to come into the marina most of our time there.

There are bus services running nearby if you need to get somewhere. We took the bus to the Naval Museum and Pensacola Lighthouse. That was a lot of fun.

The four star rating is only for lack of close grocery and other cruiser services... They get five stars for what they DO provide and for service. If you're looking for a vacation from cruising, this is it!

Be sure to finalize your bill before you leave.

Great Location for Visiting Pensacola, 2013-12-01
Captain: , Deltaville, VA (602)

Palafox is a very nice marina in a great downtown location. It is several miles off the ICW. If you want to visit historic Pensacola and have a wide selection of restaurants nearby, Palafox is the marina for you.
Has gas and diesel. The floating slips all have 30 and 50 amp, water, and cable TV. Restrooms are at Jaco's restaurant adjacent to the marina and are accessible by door code 24 hours. Very protected by substantial sea walls.

We have stayed here for a week. The Harbormaster Ron was at the fuel dock to meet us and then help us to get into a slip. The floating docks are very well kept and the marina is very clean. There is resturarants, bars and attractions all in walking distance. The bathroom / shower is close and a washer dryer available. The marina and area is very pet friendly with plenty of grass to walk the dogs. They do give a Boat U.S. discount. Just ask.

Very clean, helpful staff. They gave 25 percent off boat us for slip which was $1.50 ft diesel was 4.27 after tax no discount. Floating docks. Will go back. Pool woulda got um a five

Wonderful Marina, 2013-05-10
Captain: , Navarre, FL (41)

Easy access. Friendly staff. Worked the lines for me when I was out. Be careful when winds out the West because the marina can get rough, but all in all, a great place to stop. Lots of local attractions near.

What a great marina, 2013-05-07
Captain: , Punta Gorda FL (1709)

This marina is well worth the spot. Very helpful staff (John and Ron) handle your lines; bring you a welcome package; tell you where everything is; and recommend local restaurants and spots of interest. $1.13 per foot with Boat US card. Weekly rate $1.07/foot. Floating docks, 50 and 30 amps, water at every post. Location is right downtown with access to everything. HOWEVER, do not stay here if the wind is from the West. Sweet Mother Mary and Joseph. Martha grab your corset. Swell comes right in the entrance and bounces off the seawall. Quite a ride when it is 20+ out of the West to Northwest. Marina restraurant Jaco's is only average. Overpriced, small portions, small drinks. Great restraurants just up Palafox Ave 1/4 mile. Try the milkshakes and burgers at The Tin Cow or the Seville Omlette in the courtyard at Rosie O'Gradys. lots of local festivals. Attended the Chihuahua races on Cinqo de Mayo. Be sure to visit the Air Museum. Everything bit as good as the Smithsonian.

Top Notch Marina 4-26-13, 2013-05-07
Captain: , Seabrook, TX (286)

John was very helpful. Good clean floating docks, good water pressure. Restaurant on site was very good. Would have like to spend an extra day or two walking around. Looks like the area has been revitalized and had many places to explore.

Palafox Marina is nice!, 2013-04-29

Lovely place to stay in Pensacola, 2013-03-18
Captain: , Houston, TX (553)

Great staff, great floating docks, very close to historic downtown Pensacola with lots of restaurants and bars nearby. Check out Joe Patti's seafood store for an excellent choice of fresh seafood and lots of other goodies; about 1 mile from the dock.

A great night and day, 2013-03-17
Captain: , Fairhope, AL (182)

As everyone has reported, the staff was great. Easy 1 mile walk to Jo Patti's for provisions that include a lot of neat epicurian treats aside from seafood. The Bodacious Brew opens for breakfast on Palafox at 0700. Also just up the street is the Global Grill, which features great Tapas.

Nice location, but not a "5", 2013-03-06
Captain: , houston, tx (403)

Like real estate, its all about location , and that is what Palafox has. It is within easy walking distance of all sorts of shops , bars, and resteraunts. However, if you stay and are expecting any significnat wind from the south, it will be very rough in the harbor. We were in A1 in the corner and the wave action was considerable. The floating piers are nice, but are only three point ties, with no center piling between slips.
If you have a shower and a usable head, plan on using it as the restroom facilities and showers are past prime. A bottle of clorox would go a llong way to beat back the mold in the men's shower.
Ron was the best dockmaster and dockhand we have experienced at hepling us in the slip and providing information about the area. Not his fault the facility needs a bit of freshening.
Would stay again, but would probably ask to get into the back.

Always a great stay, 2013-03-04
Captain: , Josephine Alabama (183)

Great marina and dockmaster/asst. Ditto on all the past comments. Pensacola seems to be progressing in a positive way every day. It seems there is always something to do here. More and more restaurants opening.

Great Marina, Downtown Pensacola not so much, 2012-12-18
Captain: , St. Louis, MO (1850)

The marina itself is top notch. Ron and John are awesome. Great facility. Can't say enough great things about the marina itself. Jaco's Restaurant at the pier is nice. Downtown Pensacola was a snore. There is a good local bus lines that can take you just about anywhere. Visiting the Naval Air Museum (take bus 57 from the transfer point by city hall...a few blocks walk. Takes you right to the museum) is a MUST. General stores are a good hike, a bike ride or a bus ride away. But getting back to the marina itself, it is an incredible value. Just a note...the pump out is nuclear powered. Sucked it dry in a minute.

Ron's the man!, 2012-12-14
Captain: , Bay City (144)

Very nice docks and fuel dock. WIFI sketchy in parts of the marina. Bathrooms shared with restaurant...but ok. Ron makes this a four star facility. He goes 'over the top' to make sure you have a great stay.
Would be a five star if they had a courtesy car.

Captain: , New Orleans (70)

Best value for the money. Modern facilities that can accommodate almost any pleasure vessel. Great services and personnel. Terrific location downtown near historic district and attractions. Can't say enough good stuff about Palafox where we've been 3 times. Only thing missing is nearby grocery store.

Captain: , Mesa AZ (1609)

Beautiful marina with accommodating dock master. Must see down town on Palafox St and Seville Quarters. Many boutiques and wine/appetizer establishipments. Do not miss this wonderful, neat place with interesting architecture and great food.

Great location, 2012-09-19
Captain: , punta gorda, fl (1448)

Well protected (behind breakwater). Nice floating docks. Very helpful dock master. Lots of restaurants within short walk. $1.13 per ft with Boat US plus electric and tax. Dock master manages another nearby marina as well.

Great Location, 2012-07-26
Captain: , Kemah, Texas (170)

We spent a week here and loved it! We rented a car but could have easily done without it (except for going to see the Blue Angels at the Naval Air Station!) Very picturesque area right in old downtown Pensacola.

Downtown Marina, 2012-05-15
Captain: , Pensacola (510)

Friendly and helpful staff, easy to tie up to floating docks. Lots of bars and restaurants in easy walking distance, but the real plus is the new baseball stadium for the AA Blue Wahoos. Took in a couple of games while staying at the marina. Buy tickets in advance, they are usually sold out on weekends. The numbers are easy to see from the dock but hard to see from the water. Our slip assignment had a dock line stretched across to an adjacent boat so we had to call for another slip.

Great marina, 2012-04-06
Captain: , Pensacola (77)

Nice place to stay, well protected from Pensacola Bay. Dockmasters are great as everyone has mentioned and plenty to do downtown within walking distance. A new minor league ballpark just opened up next door.

The only downside to this marina is their shower facilities. In the year we lived aboard here the showers were only well cleaned once. Someone goes in and takes a quick mop and wipe down once every few weeks, but this is not enough!

Great Marina, 2012-02-28
Captain: , Pensacola (460)

We stayed at this marina for 2 months (Nov/Dec) and thoroughly enjoyed it. Capts Ron and Drew were great and always very helpful. As others have indicated, the location is really good for access to downtown activities, restaurants etc. The greek grocery has essentials and there is also a health food store on Garden St that has groceries as well.

Great marina in town, 2012-02-07
Captain: , Sunset, SC (60)

Great marina with floating docks and security located downtown Pensacola. Close to restaurants and shops, but grocery is not within walking distance. Excellent bay side park about 1 mile east of down town. Jaco's restaurant is in the same building as showers. Great food and service. Marina staff very helpful with tie up in high winds and offered good local information.

A great stop for a short stay, 2012-01-25
Captain: , Collierville TN (977)

Floating docks, modern facility. Dock Master "Capt" Ron is excelant. A full day at the Naval Air Museum is a must. Fish House, a short walk, is good. Joe Patties is a good place to buy seafood to prepare on the boat. We were lucky to be able to participate in a Mardi Gras parade. Ended up staying a week. WIFI vailable, Cable TV

Palafox Harbor, 2012-01-21
Captain: , Eagle Harbor, WA (471)

We stayed 4 nights here and the Harbormaster Drew was excellant help at all times. It is clost to downtown Historical districs and plenty of resturant/bars. There is a Greek Grocery store within walking distance on Main Street. The restroom/showers are in the attached Joco's resturant and 3 star. plenty of depth and space for vessels up 140'. $1.50 per foot and 25% Discount for Boat US. $.10 discount on fuel. Proper elec and water at every slip.Floating docks of the best quality.

Even in January-Very nice, 2012-01-10
Captain: , Austin, Texas (1774)

Our experience in the off season is that most marinas are not open or don't care about boaters moving at this time of year. This is NOT one of those marinas. These folks are great! We were greeted at the dock by the staff and they went out of their way to help us get settled, and provide us a packet about Pensacola. This is one of the few marinas with floating docks and the $1.25 rate was very reasonable. The marina is right in the middle of downtown with lots of restaurants within walking distance. Plus do not miss the Naval Air Museum out at the Pensacola Air Station. It is a fabulous place to spend a day. This is a great marina to spend some time.

Very nice, 2011-10-05
Captain: , Pensacola FL (110)

Planned to stay just one day and ended up staying 2. Jaco's restaurtant staff was very friendly and did 3 loads of launry there while in the between time watching the ball game and having drinks at the bar. Ron "the dockmaster" was very helpful, ye showed me around the place, helped me dock, made great conversation and introduced my to some of the locals around there whom showed me a great time in Pensacola (hence why I stayed another night). The marina is probably on the best street you could possible be on in downtown pensacola if you like fine dining and nitelife

Nice facilities, and service above and beyound. Way to go Ron and Drew!, 2011-09-26
Captain: , Crestview, FL (170)

We docked here on August 28, 2011. Escambia bay was rough that day, and as soon as we rounded the breakwater, the words safe harbor sprang to mind. After spending 23 days on the ICW from Kemah Texas, we originally intended to dock here for 3 days. Pensacola is close to home, and we wanted to take care of business back at the house. We also needed to prepare for the Gulf crossing, as the sailboat%u2019s mast is too tall for the ICW bridges east of here. During this layover, tropical storm Lee formed offshore, which caused us to postpone our Gulf crossing while it meandered around. When Lee came ashore west of here, there were several surprisingly severe squalls that hit the area. One demolished my greenhouse at home. This is where the dock masters Captain Drew and Captain Ron really shined. Captain Drew was on duty during the worst of the squalls, and saved our boat from certain damage. Two of our weak old wooden boat cleats gave way, and Drew retied dock lines to our winches. Then one of the dock%u2019s cleats gave way and Drew retied the boat to a different dock cleat. He saved the day for sure. When it came time to leave Ron applied aggressive discounts to the dockage bill so that our unexpected delay didn%u2019t ruin our cruising kitty. Now that is service above and beyond the call. In addition to the hard work of the dock masters, you are right in the middle of everything downtown Pensacola has to offer. Restaurants, bars, shopping, historic attractions, and when the new bayfront ballpark is completed, you will even be able to catch a Red Socks affiliated team play ball. We will defiantly be returning to this marina.

Great Place!!, 2011-08-29
Captain: , Destin, Fl (55)

Great place, Good restaurants. We forgot our credit card at one of the restaurants the night before, Capt Ron personally took us back to the restaurant the next am in his car. Thank you Capt Ron!!

A great summer dockage, 2011-07-20
Captain: , Kemah, Texas (245)

We brought our sail boat down from Guntersville for beach access to it for the summer. We chose Palafox because of previous experience there.

Dockmasters Ron & Drew make you feel very welcome and always hustle around to help you dock just incase an extra hand would help. (With a prevailing wind blowing in from the SW, there were times when they were useful.)

We were there for the July 4th holiday and the Blue Angles air show on the beach. This is a great location because of Ron & Drew, its location to historic Seville District, the quality of the facility and surrounding areas, and a 25% discount on dockage for Boat US members!

Captain: , Aransas pass, tx (70)

Stayed Easter Sunday. Most helpful staff, great info packet on arrival
and good food at Jacos and the sandwich shop across the street.
Fuel dock easily accessible and staff very attentive. Security good.

Hope to return

Super Nice Place, 2011-02-28

Enjoyed our visit here last week. The marina is a nice place with plenty of eating estabilishments close by... don't miss Jacos for small plates and a quick walk down the street for some cheap Mediterrian eats Jordan Valley Cafe.
Rob the dockmaster was very knowlegeable and helpful. Enjoyr your stay here.

Nice stop!, 2010-11-21
Captain: , Nashville (260)

Floating docks, clean; helpful dockmaster, services available nearby.
Laundry and showers
New restaurant (Jaco's) just opened on premises.
Walk downdown (sadly empty in recent years) - restored and clean historic bldgs, few restaurants, shops.
Beware: recently changed schedule - no attendant on Mon/Tues for fuel etc w/o advance call ahead warning of arrival

Very clean and secure, 2009-05-11
Captain: , Captiva (173)

We stayed one night in a 42 ft catamaran with 24'8" beam. They easily accomodated us in a wide slip. This marina is right off the ICW. The dockmaster was extremely helpful, meeting us for fuel and a pumpout and then helping us tie up inthe slip. We walked about a mile to a small grocery store, Shoreline, which is on Main Street just past Joe Patti's Seafood. Shoreline had most of the staples we needed and a deli. We paid $1.50 per foot plus $3 for shore power. No extra charge for a catamaran. Area around the marina is a park area.

Great place to stay in Pensacola, 2009-02-06
Captain: , Knoxville, TN (1788)

We stayed here for 4 nights and were very pleased with the facilities. The staff is very friendly and helpful. These are floating concrete docks that are well kept. Trash receptacles throughout. Cable & water are included. Laundry (1ea) & showers (1ea) are very clean. No courtesy vehicle, but you can walk to downtown - mostly restaurants, banks, P.O., and a few boutiques- including a dive shop within 4 blocks (& professional offices). Guardian Rent-A-Car will pick you up and get you a great car. Area seemd very safe, as we walked around with our small children and dog in the evening without any problem. No grocery in walking distance, but if you get a car, check out Joe Patti's Seafood on Main for freshly caught seafood to take home.

Very nice marina, 2008-10-31
Captain: , Gulf Breeze, Florida (55)

Stayed over night in my Hurnter 260. The dock master and crew were very helpful and provided pump out, rest room, shower and restaurant information. Security was very nice. The enter marina docking area is surronded by a security fence with two gates. The gates can be opended using a combination provided by the dock master. Restaurants and the downtown area of Pensacola are within easy walking distance from the marina. Highly recommend the Fish House restaurant located next to the Seville Harbor Marina.

Nice but a little rolly, 2007-06-23
Captain: , Jupiter, FL (1306)

This is downtown Pensacola. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Floating docks. You do get a little surge but not really bad while I was there. Check out Joe Pattie's Fish market. Great prices, fresh, and about anything you could want that comes out of the water.
