Reviews for Oystercatchers Restaurant

Tried to visit but several things put us off. First it was a windy day blowing across the entrance channel. It was mid tide falling and we couldn't identify the channel which in this water is not good. This entire area is extreme shoal and running aground would have put us in the mangroves. Dock is also very far from the restaurant with no line of sight to keep an eye on boat and was crawling with an assortment of people (most likely hotel guest) with no security so wife got spooked by the looks of them. Dock also very exposed to anything south through west. Too rough outside of approach channel to anchor and dingy in so anchored in basin of Bahama Breeze and tried to visit by dingy. Tried to slip under the small circulation bridge shown on chart to make across the shoals but impassible as bridge has been blocked off with a cement barrier. Will try again once snow birds go home. Giving it a neutral rating only for the dockage because of my over conservative boating.

Very good but expensive, 2012-05-02

I take my wife to Oystercatchers a few times a year. Beautiful restaurant in a more upscale setting than most other waterside dining in the area. It is expensive but the food is worth it.
