Reviews for Oswego Yacht Club
Great docks, great folks, 2015-09-18
Captain: , Little River, SC (741)

For a small marina, it was first rate. First of all, I didn't realize the OYC was basically the International Marina. OK, they are separate, but they're so closely related, it's difficult to tell where one ends and the other begins. The distinction is the IM owns the docks with power and the OYC owns the single dock without. But the OYC members mostly dock at the IM docks and very few boats dock at the OYC dock w/o services. We came in at the IM dock and was immediately welcomed by OYC members. They were friendly and generous. The OYC offered my entire crew of 5 a free round of drinks at the club located right there at IM. Like I said, it's hard to tell them apart. I'd highly recoemmend this marina as you enter/exit the canal.

No more free first night, 2014-07-23
Captain: , Olcott, NY (2536)

Due to the Oswego port authority, the club can no longer offer any free night.
Charge is $1.50 p/f with no electric or water on floating docks.
The club and members are excellent, but they are subjects beholding to the port authority. Sad state of affairs.

I have moored near the club several times while crewing on various racing sailboats

Good folks at the club

Helpful staff and good facilities, 2013-03-02
Captain: , Montreal (252)

Ended up spending a few days here after coming out of the NY canal system. Had to wait for reasonable weather before crossing the lake solo.
Club members and committee were very welcoming and helpful, and generous with their time.
The only thing I couldn't find was somewhere that sold local charts.

Friendly Club, 2013-01-10

Long floating dock, easy access, water only at dock. All the facilities available from Oswego Marine with yacht club bar on second floor.

Freindly, helpful...., 2012-07-15
Captain: , Toronto, ON (1749)

Stayed for two nights, the members were great, the bar was fun with an interesting selection of beers. They had great advice on restaurants (you HAVE to try Azteca on Bridge St. East). Contrary to what otehrs have written this was not an expensive stop. We were charged $1.50/ft for the second night with all services.

A great reciprocal club..., 2012-07-07
Captain: , Pultneyville, NY (285)

A super friendly bunch. Chuck was there and helped us out, gave us tips on where to eat (he was right, Vona's is SUPER).

As stated, this is a reciprocal club only.

Oswego Yacht Club Review, 2008-09-22
Captain: , Sodus Bay, NY (61)

The people here treated me well when I visited from a reciprical club. Overall the club members were friendly and helpful.
The club shares their facility with International Marina- so they don't have control over all the facilities. Bathrooms and showers were clean and well kept. Grateful for Active Captain- because I couldn't figure out from the charts or guidebooks where the Oswego Yacht Club was in relation to the Int'l Marina- this may help future visitors know where to go!
