Reviews for Orient-By-The-Sea Marina
No Pump out, 2016-07-21
Captain: , Montreal (20)

We asked for a Pump out service, they answered yes, but In fact there is not!!!!

Generally not for sailboats, 2015-10-04
Captain: , Wickford, RI (550)

This is a small harbor for fishing boats, many of which are commercial party boats. We were the onlt sailboat there. The entrance is narrow but manageable. Docks are fixed and the transients are closest to the entrance. We stayed 9/26 in a pretty good easterly breeze and it was a bit rolly. No dock fees if you eat in the restaurant, decent shower facilties, nice walk to the point, and there is a state park right there for more walking.

Great Marina, 2014-07-30
Captain: , Southold (80)

Restaurant is top notch!
Bar is really cool!
What more can you ask for.

Great Service!, 2013-07-19
Captain: , Brick, NJ (193)

The owner got out of bed at 0700 on a Sunday morning in Mid April to top off my tanks - first stop on my ride from Greenport, NY to Brick, NJ. Above and beyond the call of duty. Very grateful!!!!

VERY Narrow Entrance!, 2012-05-26
Captain: , Niantic, CT (327)

I just sailed there yesterday, and, as the others say, the entrance is extremely narrow - so small that I nearly couldn't see it. Primarily a marina for fishing boats, there were a number of slips open, especially right by the entrance. I stopped there for lunch twice going and coming through Plum Gut (the restaurant opens at 11:30 am), and I didn't have to pay a fee to keep my boat there while I took my time eating. I didn't see any marina workers, only the folks in the restaurant who said it was okay to keep my boat there while I had lunch. There isn't a ship's chandlery or anything similar - you have to take a bus to Greenport for that which comes and goes regularly from the nearby ferry terminal. But the food was great, and it was a good place to stretch the legs before continuing on my way.

Cheap! 1 dollar per foot, 2011-01-17
Captain: , New York Harbor (495)

Other review is correct Narrow entrance and small turning room.
Slips behind the restaurant have shoaled and My 4/1//2 foot keel rests in the mud.

Good for power boats, tough for sailboats, 2010-08-22
Captain: , Mt. Sinai, NY (232)

The fairways and slips are narrow. Very little turning room. If you are in a sailboat you better be good at back and fill and know how your boat handles.

Price is great at $1 / foot. On site restaurant is good.
