Reviews for Ontario Place Marina
Never answered their phone, never returned our calls, and no response on VHF68, 2017-06-04

DISCLAiMER: We arrived during the flood, so most marinas are struggling to stay afloat (pun intended!).

I stayed here as a kid when this marina was in its glory days, and have fond memories of this place. Unfortunately, everything that made this marina great (IMAX, entertainment complex) has been closed for years, but we were still willing to dock here since friends traveling with us told us they made a reservation here. I called daily for the week before our arrival (during normal business hours), and no one ever answered the phones. I left three messages, letting them know I wanted to reserve a dock, but never received a call back. When we arrived (midday, midweek), we tried both calling on the phone and hailing them on the radio. No response! We pulled in and tied up to a dock for about an hour, and couldn't find anyone to help us. We called our friends who said they were having trouble contacting anyone there as well, but said they did ultimately get a call back, confirming the marina was open. We all utimately made the right decsion to choose a better marina. (See my Outer Harbor Marina review - I HIGHLY recommend you consider docking there instead!) We left, and were extremely happy with our choice to stay elsewhere.

I won't go there again. Price is to high and there is no service. I had to clean the dock off when I arrived. No one used the dock except the geese. Cold showers and nothing in Ontario place is open. I will sail past this marina next time.

Just a marina, 2012-08-14

Please note that the site is essentially closed now apart from the marina and the Amphitheatre. There is no reason to go here anymore, unfortunately. The politicians have intentionally run it down so they can give it to their buddies in the Casino business and the Condo Developers. It is a true tragedy.

Sad to see the downfall, 2012-03-03

We really loved this marina when the kids were younger.
Of recent its gone downhill and really needs a quality makeover and upgrade.
Considering the options in the nearby clubs and anchorages we now give it a pass.

Ontario Place today is just a shadow of its former glory. The facility is run-down and most of the attractions have pulled-out. Boaters will need transportation to buy provisions, supplies, etc. Security is definitely an issue - on several different occasions last summer we saw tourists wandering around on unattended boats. The rock concerts bring in massive crowds but the noise and the drinking may not be every boater's cup of tea.

Great Place for the Kids, 2010-07-04
Captain: , Cobourg, Ontario, Cdn (122)

Two sections to this Marina and it is best to request a slip in the South Basin. The doccks to the north are located below the pavilions, are always in their shadow, with lots of bird droppings and no security. Conversely the south basin is bright, open, and alive with friendly boaters and solid, wide docks, as well as being behind a coded security gate. Both basins have deep water acess/dockage.
With access to Ontario Place Park this is a great spots from young childen but it can be noisey when there are concerts going on.

Tired and run down, this over-priced marina has seen its day. it is noisy during the day, and lacks adequate security at night.
