Reviews for Old Lyme Dock Company
Best Gas Dock, 2016-09-29
Captain: , Darien, CT (10)

Best gas dock experience ever. Most pleasant and helpful people we have ever come across.

We Are Here to Tell you, Outstanding, 2016-07-18
Captain: , North Myrtle Beach, SC (3210)

OK, there is nothing within walking distance. Enterprise will pick you up here. Dockmaster is one of the best we have ever seen. Left our boat here for a week while visiting family. Considering price, showers, ease to dock (OK, there is some current and we are a single engine trawler) they will do anything to help you. Fuel prices are excellent for the area and there are boats coming and going all the time to fuel up. Nice area to walk around or bike.

Brief but excellent visit, 2015-09-29

The horses are not real

A must stop for reasonable fuel & transient dockage, 2015-08-12
Captain: , Lake Texoma (160)

As all other reviews indicate, this is truly a terrific stop. Impeccable customer service says it all. The nicest folks you'll encounter with more than reasonable prices. We will be back again and again!

A real gem in the area, 2014-09-08
Captain: , Norfolk, VA (691)

Dave Peterson, the manager is most accommodating. On our recent visit, June 26-28, 2012, we purchased 100 + gal. of diesel at the lowest price in the area. As a result, he let us have a slip for $25, with no charge for electricity. The marina is small, so very peaceful. It is at the bottom of a slope with a magnificent home above, and the marina is very well kept with a very clean restroom/shower. If you come here, call ahead and talk to Dave. With fuel purchase, the overnight rate is negotiable, but will certainly be far less than the $3.00 + per foot prevalent in the area. The beautiful village of Old Lyme is about a twenty minute walk. A shopping center, with all requirements, is about twenty minutes also. This is our fifth visit here. We will certainly return.

Great Service, 2014-09-06
Captain: , N . KINGSTOWN, RI (162)

Stayed one night while cruising L. I. Sound. After we fueled up with diesel Dave arranged to get us a ride to a local restaurant and back. Very helpful staff, I would definitely stop here again.

Capt Jeff , Miss Riley Portland Ct, 2014-08-29

Tied up for five days recently, Dave and his crew were outstanding. Very clean facility, head and shower spotless. Easy in and out, worked well for all my day trips.

A great fuel stop and more !!, 2013-08-19
Captain: , Marthas Vineyard (506)

About 3 miles up the CT river, this small marina is a great stop not only for fueling but also for overnight. It's small and doesn't have all the amenities of a Brewers but the fuel is a great price, the staff is so helpful, the marina is neat and clean, and the slip price can't be beat. You don't even need to put your fenders out, they're already there. Some wake but not troublesome. We walked into Old Lyme -- some of this is highway walking but quite do-able, just noisey. Dave would have given us a ride. We found the activity between the bridges entertaining. Just look for the biggest American flag you've ever seen, and thats the marina! We'll come again.

Excellent service, 2012-11-14
Captain: , Old Saybrook, CT (125)

For sail boats that need a small nozzel diesel pump, this is the place to go. Accross the river at Between the Bridges they only have large nozzels on their dieesel pumps,
The staff is always friendly and helpful.

Best Fuel Prices on the River!!, 2012-07-30
Captain: , Huntington, NY (168)

Old Lyme Dock has a professional staff offering the best fuel prices around.

Excellent service, 2011-06-09
Captain: , Niantic, CT (564)

High volume fuel station, always has fresh fuel with typically the best prices in the area. Can have an account created to keep track of your purchases for tax purposes, (CT allows for a refund of partial fuel taxes for marine fuel with appropriate documentation). Very hospitable. One night I was coming in late, needing fuel, called ahead and the staff stayed until I arrived an hour later. Also have a limited number of transient slips available.

Great hospitality, 2010-09-01
