Called to check availability and the dock master told me that they were not taking reservations as their docks are under construction.

Upside; price is right ($832 per month of 39'). 30 minute bike ride to downtown. Good bus system once you have a schedule in hand. Downside; bathroom so/so. staff so/so. most are live-aboard so not very transient friendly. Bottom line - if you want to stay near Key West this is a pretty good place.

Great staff, helped us out in a pinch., 2013-01-15

Stayed here over New Years Eve. Another marina had a mess up with our reservation, and we where stuck without a slip. They fit us in, and we spent two nights here. Great staff and nice marina.

Pump-out misrepresentation, 2012-12-12
Captain: , Chelsea, NY12512 (561)

On Dec. 3, 2012, I walked into the dockmaster's store and inquired of a young man what the fee for a pump-out was. He said he thought it was free. Since he didn't seem sure I asked him to confirm it with someone in the back office. He returned to inform me that indeed it was free, no qualifications were stated. Three days later I was sailing in the area and decided to use their service. Before I entered the channel to their marina I tried, unsuccessfully, to hail them to confirm that I could be serviced. Several more times I tried to hail them as I entered the channel and marina but no one responded. I docked at the pump-out station and walked into the dockmaster's. At the counter this time was a woman who said the pump-outs cost $25. I explained to her that I had been in just a few days ago and reported that the man I spoke to said it was free. In spite of my appeal she refused to honor his information and I left, very upset, without a pump-out.

This marina is not highly rated by skipper bob's, so we avoided it at first. However, we rented from a slip owner, and found it to be a great place. Showers cleaned every day, helpful staff at the store, a good place to send and receive mail, and a pretty safe environment. The only downside would be the amount of charter fishermen who clean their fish and boats right next to the liveabouards, who can spray your boat with fish guts and water any time. Not in a downtown area, but a good ride on a bike. Free parking at the marina.

good place, 2012-04-28

Not in town but a good place to get work done as there are many different types of contractors on the property. We stayed at the fuel dock and other than being a little dusty it was great. Bruce and Chris were very helpful.

Half Price in Key West, 2012-03-27
Captain: , Muskegon, MI (778)

We were docked on the end of the fuel dock for two months and found it to be a great place to have, deep water (We draw 6 1/2 feet), protection from wind and surge, great customer service, easy access to downtown Key West. I will admit, using the very well run, bus service to downtown or other Keys, does take some time. Once you have a bus schedule, the time to town is reduced considerably. Concerning the Marina, the restrooms and showers are clean and sufficiently large so as to not create a wait. The Laundry is clean and the machines are kept clean and all are in operable order. There is a medium size lending library housed in the laundry room and a smaller one in the dock house, also called the Tackle Shop. The Bank owns the marina and there is a professional management group in place and they are making constant improvements to the facilities. The dock helpers will take your lines at the Fuel and Pump out dock, but not generally at the regular docks. One needs to understand that the docks at this Marina are condominiums and because of that the management group is having to work with the condo association to clean up the personal items kept on the docks. A meeting took place while we were there, and some significant improvements were implements.

Name has changed to Oceanside, 2011-03-17
Captain: , Cincinnati (1810)

Under new management in the last 4 weeks. Marina is well marked to enter and the staff is considerate and friendly. A little pricey for what it is --$25 for a pumpout is way out of line since they just bring the unit and you have to do the pump. It is a well protected harbour but the docks, while cement and wide are full of personal items sitting loosely around and give a cluttered appearence.

Depends on what you want?, 2007-04-23
Captain: , Ocala (7)

My boat is there right now for a few months. There are really no amenities other than fuel and a small grocery/ships store. But, if you are just looking for a place to keep your boat it's great because the monthly rate is about 1/2 of anything in Key West. Easy and quick access to the ocean. Very nice and helpful dockmaster, clean bath and shower facilities. It is about a 15 minute cab ride to Old Town in Key West.
