Reviews for Ocean Point Marina
A Major Disappointment 2016, 2016-10-13
Captain: , Deep Ellum (101)

We cruised Maine the summer of 2016. It was a fantastic summer but there were a few days of fog. We left Portland in the fog heading to Ocean Point. We called ahead and reserved a "slip" and explained that we were moving as fast as we safely could considering the fog and would be there by 5pm. They informed us that they closed at 4pm. No offer of having a hand stay. Oh well, we've docked by ourselves before. As luck would have it, we were there at 3:50 but low and behold, everyone was gone. We docked ourselves and plugged in our power cord. We'd been on the hook and our solar panels were not charging us up. You guessed it. No power. Another call at 4:15 and no one was avbailable to come help. We are now paying for a spot on the fuel dock that is falling apart with no power. The electrician showed up around 9 the next morning and told us the power was just fine and it was our boat. No apologies. We left...in the fog and never had issues with power before or since....it was not our boat. When we spoke to the owner, he gave us $8 back on our $98 slip fee.

Nice small marina, 2012-07-02
Captain: , Kemah, TX (124)

Have stopped a couple of times and taken a mooring overnight and to get fuel, and especially showers (nice and clean). Have also gotten a few marine supplies. Strong current in mooring field. Seaford restaurant next door, post office also. Pleasant walk up the hill to "general store" deli. Real groceries in Bootbay Hsrbor sevreral miles away. NIce people in the office/store.
