Additional info:

Approach

Directly on the edge of the Bayou channel. Best to stop at one of the nearby marinas, or anchor in one of the anchorages up-Bayou, and dinghy. Plenty of room for a number of dinghy's, but no room for anything but the smallest of boats.

Restaurant extends out to the water and is obvious from the channel, just come abreast and turn directly in.

Delivered boat for repair on Bayou Chico. Lunch at the Oar House. Great food and water front dining. We look forward to our next visit!

We ate here several times while our boat was being repaired at Pensacola boat yard, we would dinghy there and back, great food, atmosphere, and view!

Decent Food, Good Atmosphere, 2013-06-22

Ate here on 3 different occasions and found the food to be pretty good. I had fish (blackened basa) taco's which were quite good and reasonably priced. The fish sandwich was another standout for me. I think I had grilled Mahi. Salads looked really good and very big, didn't have one though.

While fueling up at the adjacent Bahia Mar Fuel dock, I asked the attendant about depths at the little dock and he didn't asvise with more than 3 feet of draft, but said the end of the Bahia Mar pier just east of the restaurant was not used and we could tie up there while we ate. Very nice of them, but I did just fill an empty tank.

OK food, but great view!, 2013-01-09

Watch your depth at the dinghy dock if not in a dinghy.

Open-air dining, fun atmosphere, 2011-07-08

Casual, walls of windows are open in warm weather for a fun tropical feeling. Heaters for cooler weather. Polished "rustic" wooden tables with tropical colored stands holding paper towels, salt, condiments, etc.

The place is large, there is live music at weekends, and the service can be either great or slow, depending on who you get. There are four different areas, really: outdoor patio with tall tables and market umbrellas overlooking the marina slipway, outdoor tiki bar with tall teak stools, indoor bar/deck overlooking Bayou Chico with attached dining room for larger parties that overlooks the beach volleyball area, and a small no-roof deck overlooking the dinghy dock on Bayou Chico.

Food: fried, grilled or blackened anything :-) Full bar. Families welcome. No dress code. Kitchen closes earlier than we'd like (<10 pm), although the bar stays open.

Great food and Caribbean treats! Overnight at Bahia Mar and dine at the Oar House---oh yeah!

Food is good to great! Prices reasonable. Nice, if slightly noisy, atmosphere., 2011-03-09

Friendly, fun, nautical themed restaurant. Lots of sailors and sailor-wanabees. Only thing that could be better would be a better dock for boaters! Even if you are staying at a nearby marina, taking a dinghy is faster than using a car.
