Reviews for Norwalk Cove Marina, Inc.
An Expensive Disappointing Experience, 2017-08-30
Captain: , Chelsea, NY12512 (561)

Took my boat there specifically to be hauled and have considerable work done. The staff and workmen were friendly, but not as nearly as good as expected and the labor charge would indicate. The workers who did the boat detail missed a section, which I brought to managements attention who promised it would be addressed. It never was nor was a price adjustment made. The engine mechanic could not find the engine leak and in the process busted the door to the engine compartment. Again no price adjustment was made. Another mechanic could not replace one of the saildrive zincs after hours of trying, again no price adjustment made.

Great stop., 2017-07-10

Stopped for a night while transiting LIS. Staff was very helpful, both at fuel dock and in the office. Clean but small showers. Great on site restaurant.

Helpful at fuel dock, 2016-09-01
Captain: , New Jersey (40)

Lines all neatly set out. Dock hands to help. Water hose. Dock guy asked us if we wanted the diesel to run slower because of being a sailboat.

The ship store was very pleasing and well stocked. We needed a particular bulb and a drinking water hose. Clerk in store was friendly.

Coffee shop had delicious baked goods.

Large, Working Marina, 2016-07-23
Captain: , Charlottesville (265)

They put us on the bulkhead right near the breakwater and I was concerned about rolling. While we did get some, it wasn%u2019t a problem at all at night and wasn%u2019t enough to wake us in the morning. Very large, working yard %u2013 not a %u201Cresort%u201D marina at all. Mini golf was open seven days a week, but is only collocated with marina, not part of it. Showers serviceable, but the only nice one was the one at the dock office (the %u201Cmain%u201D shower further into the yard was not pleasant). Very nice ship%u2019s store. Shuttle was only intermittently available, but Uber was easy. Try Tacos Mexico %u2013 great, casual Mexican food just a short ride away!

Good marina, well run, 2015-10-08
Captain: , Glen Cove, NY (62)

Been there several times. Week ago had to get off the Sound for bad weather and overheating engine, got there late and they let me stay on the fuel dock overnight. Their parts deparment had exactly what I needed to cure the engine, and they loaned me some tools. Not too much to do in immediate area, need cab to NO. Also shallow at the entrance, stay near the docks as you come in from the channel. I got a little north on the way out at low tide and hit mud with 5.5' draft.

Nice Place, 2015-08-14
Captain: , Mt. Sinai, NY (232)

Stayed here one night, Aug 7, 2015. Slip was easy to get into, no assistance from dock staff (none needed). Grounds are clean and neat, very close to nice beach and park. Not so close to SONO bars / restaurants. Only one shower in the heads. Shuttle stopped running at 6:00PM but cabs were cheap (under $10) and quick. I would recommend this place if you want to use the park, beach, etc.

clean and easy , 2015-08-10
Captain: , City Island New York (210)

very well maintained marina with a very extensive boatyard and Mini Golf ! nice beach and huge field for the dog just a short walk away..fuel was cheapest i have seen in a while...shuttle into town if you need

Nice Facilities, a Bit Out of the Way, 2015-08-05
Captain: , Croton on Hudson, NY (93)

Very well maintained facilities and an attractive setting. We arrived a low tide and had to power through the mud to get to our berth (5'5" draft), but not a bid deal. About $3.00 per foot and they had last minute availiability on a Sunday night in July. It's a few miles from South Norwalk, but they have Uber there. Cab was available in seven minutes.

My home port, 2015-05-15

The boat we bought was stored here for the winter. the staff here was very professional and helpful. Well equiped marine store with electonics sales and canvas work on premises. FIrst class operation. Dog park across the street as well as a beautiful beach.

Professional and friendly, 2014-06-23
Captain: , Boca Raton, Fl (639)

Val the Dockmaster put myself and a a sailing friend on appropiate vacant docks on very short notice last Saturday--a very busy day for them, calling us back within an hour after she checked the availability. Shuttle van to town and a good meal. Dock hands all were very pleasant.

Great Full Service Marina, 2014-04-14
Captain: , Norwalk, CT (30)

One of the nicest full service marinas around. It's just easy to navigate and well maintained. Service is excellent. Gorgeous beach across the street.

Excellent!, 2013-06-03
Captain: , East Coast (194)

Everything a marina should be. Val, the Dockmaster, could not have been more accommodating (or apologetic when she was unable to fit me in during their busy launch time early in the season). The floating docks we were at were in very good shape with excellent power and water service, the staff was friendly and helpful, the on-site restaurant, Sunset Grille, was not simply serviceable but actually very good and the wifi even worked flawlessly. Top it off with an outstanding ship%u2019s store, a coffee shop and well-maintained grounds, Norwalk Cove is what so many marinas should aspire to be like. The pool was taken out by Sandy and I was told it will not be rebuilt, but that won%u2019t keep from returning again and again. Make time to dinghy out and explore the Norwalk Islands.

Pleasant Stay, 2013-02-19

Captain: , Miami, fl (3666)

Very well run marina. Recent floating docks in excellent condition, plenty of power with clean twin 50s and even 100. Special off season rate of $1 a ft in October!

Norwalk has a nice downtown district with West marine. Good provisioning within a short drive incl whole foods, the Fresh Market and Traders Joe

Great facilities, 2011-06-12

Left the boat here for two days on the way East. Very nice facility and would be happy to make it my home port if I lived nearby.

Nice place for sailors, 2011-02-01

Very well run marina -- first-class facility and sailboat-oriented.

Norwalk Cove Marina., 2009-07-16
Captain: , Monches,wi (330)

Very convenient for an easy in-easy out stop along The Sound. Very large facility with a lot of very large boats. Excellent dock staff and very helpful. Nice marine store on premises.

Very nice facilities and a good casual resturant right on site, great fresh seafood.

Likely need bikes to access downtown Norwalk but it's worth the trip. SoNo (South Norwalk) is a great strolling street with good dining places. Aquarium is worth the trip also.
