Reviews for Norview Marina
Very Nice People, 2016-08-21
Captain: , Sea Cliff, NY (1022)

Stayed here overnight mid-week August 2016. They were very polite when taking my reservation. When we arrived, "Miss B" handled our paperwork and was an absolute delight. Amenities were more than adequate. We will visit here again when in the area.

Great folks., 2016-07-18
Captain: , North Myrtle Beach, SC (3210)

Get fuel here too. Nice marina, although not as nice as Doziers, but I highly recommend if Dozer's is full. It is claser to town also. Great discounts for MTOA. WiFi is good on docks far from office.

Nice overnight stop, 2016-07-05
Captain: , Solomons MD (23)

Quick easy on easy off stop off the cheasapeake. Nice friendly staff. Local slip holders were very nice and offered to drive us into town.

Slow Service, 2016-06-10
Captain: , Suffolk, VA (151)

Pulled in for fuel. Took 2 telephone calls to get someone down to the fuel dock after no answer on VHF. Depths get a little skinny around the fuel dock so care is called for. After fueling, attendant had to take credit card back to the office to run it....another 10 minutes. Service could be better.

Very helpful staff, 2015-11-01
Captain: , St. Petersburg, FL (210)

We did not stay here but used their pump out after staying at Dosiers and were told theirs did not work. 2 staff came out and helped us dock and emptied our holding tank and washed down the deck.

Nice people, bad water, 2015-10-30
Captain: , Lewis Creek, Md (1234)

I stayed three days here waiting for a part from Yanmar. The work was done at Zimmermann"s. The people could not be more helpful, but their water traetment was down, and the water was smelly, brown, and generally not nice. The showers were servicable, but the shower curtains did not prevent water from getting out so that the floor was always wet. The internet was down on our dock though the office internet worked. The dock also was green which transfered to your boat. The staff reset the internet and offered to take us to town. Electric is $8 for a 30 amp though there is a Boat, US discount.

New floating docks - non potable water, 2015-10-22
Captain: , Long Island, NY (204)

Nice facility, new floating docks (F dock) with power and water hookups. However, water is marked at facucet as "non potable" and office warned not to use it for drinking. Helpful office staff who drove us to nearby maritime museum. No restaurants, bars or shopping on premises or within walking distance. No loaner car. Good if you are self contained and looking for a quiet place to stay. Could be good for a group traveling together. $1.75 foot, $8 a night electric. Pricey for what it is.

Well protected, 2015-07-18
Captain: , Arizona (216)

A northerly wind was expected and this marina provided good protection (which wasn't needed) in a very nice setting. Internet was available in the lounge. There was a pool, bbq, and beach, none of which we used.

Undermanned, but a Good Deal, 2014-10-12
Captain: , Isle of Palms, SC (311)

We had assistance upon arrival, but checking in took tracking down busy crew. MTOA member gets first nite free! Only pay for elec. Cable TV listed was NOT available. Fun to walk the Zimmerman yard.

Norview Marina, 2014-09-18
Captain: , Fairhaven (53)

Ease of entry with well marked Wreck daymark. Unleaded gas is a plus! Very clean washrooms, showers, laundry, swimming pool, restaurant with dock, food delivered, supermarket will pick you up and bring you back from shopping.

Service is fantastic, not to mention complimentary coffee, WiFi, and a refridge with goodies (that can be raided . . .)

Come and see for yourself. He isn't my cousin.

Nice Marina, 2014-06-09
Captain: , Little River, SC (1967)

Stayed here one night. Not much in the area but the facilities were first rate. Very nice pool on site which nobody was using when we were there. Zimmerman Marine is their on-site service contractor. They were great to work with. Were there 1st thing in AM to fix a warranty issue.

OK transient stop, but not perfect, 2014-05-13
Captain: , Eastport, MD (491)

We stopped in Deltaville specifically to get the technician who installed our instruments to come and show me how to get them out and he recommended Norview as one that is easy for outside contractors to work with. They put us on a T-head at the end of one of their covered docks, which is OK but a long walk to office & showers & so far from the hot spots that WIFI would not work, even with a booster. I walked to the other end of the building/dock & sat on a chair there & it worked fine. I would have used the lounge, but it's only open during business hours.

Heads and showers were above average & clean & set up with hooks & bench to put stuff. Staff was quite pleasant & their lounge area is also nice. Unlike many places, there is no town along the waterfront, so no local restaurants etc. to enjoy.

Good night stop in the rain, 2013-10-16
Captain: , Pasadena,Maryland (510)

Had a good stop in strong winds. Protection was adequate. Service was pleasant. Inner slips are more exposed.

Great Stop for Fuel and Pump Out, 2013-09-03
Captain: , Annapolis, MD (310)

I stopped for fuel and a pump out. The staff was outstanding. He helped move the fuel hoses between each side of the boat. Surprisingly, he did everything for the pump out. He even flushed it out with fresh water. I was very impressed and gave him a nice gratuity for all his work.

Great marina but mostly power boats, 2012-10-25
Captain: , Deltaville, VA (80)

Marina is in a great location to the bay. Most of the slips are covered. The bathrooms and pool are always clean and the store has a pretty decent selection. Have not had much contact with the staff but from what I can tell everyone seems friendly.

Great Cheap Quiet, 2012-09-28
Captain: , San Antonio, TX (310)

A great place to stay Nice clean floating docks Helpful staff clean bathrooms Dano Pizza delivers good run areas for dog Would be a great location for a permanent marina

Great stop, 2012-09-21
Captain: , Jacksonville Fl (1520)

Great place to stop for a day or even longer to explore the area. Almost new floating docks with all the amenities, cable, wifi, very clean restrooms and showers. Short bike or walk to new West marine and restraurants. We were told the grocery will pick you up to shop and restock the galley. Very friendly and accomosating staff and others in the marina echoed the same.

Great place to keep your boat, if it is shoal draft., 2012-06-23
Captain: , Gloucester, Va (222)

We kept our old boat here for a season. Rates were reasonable then in 2009. I think they replaced their fixed docks with floating ones, so rates went up. This is mostly a power boat marina. Deep draft sailboats are better off staying at Doziers, but the staff here are friendly, knowledgable. Marina chandlery was well stocked & helpful. They sell ice, basic drinks & snacks, ice cream, etc. Bathrooms were clean. Its a hoof to walk to town from here, but the town of Deltaville is very quaint & worth the walk.
Had a good meal at Taylors Restaurant. Try the crab cakes.

close to the bay, 2012-06-16
Captain: , North Fort Myers, FL. (268)

Stayed here for 3 years and the rate went up each year, finally had to go. Loved the covered slips during the summer and the close location to the bay. Good fishing and cruising spot. No restaurant and will need a car to get to one. They have a pool and while I was there a group of pier partyers but no problems just a little noise.

Great people, quaint marina, great showers, 2012-04-15
Captain: , Westbrook, CT (453)

Marina is largely covered however transient slips are ok and not covered. Old fashioned feel, but cable tv, electric, and everything works well.

Friendly Marina, 2011-10-09
Captain: , New Rochelle, NY (1000)

Good location and a friendly staff. Bonita Leeks, Administrative Assistant, is most helpful and a wealth of information.

Nice launch ramp, 2011-05-17
Captain: , Smith Mountain Lake, VA (266)

I am always looking for a good ramp to launch my 17' Catboat. Noview has a great double cement ramp ($10.00 fee) and room to store a trailer. Good cooperative staff.

Free Dock to first MTOA member of the day!, 2011-04-22
Captain: , Key Largo (5330)

NIce new protected floating docks, no coutesy car, miles to town, small one machine laundry. No wifi.

great place to stay for a month or longer, 2010-10-26
Captain: , Hampton, VA (389)

Very friendly staff! The slip holders here are very knowledgeable and helpful.

Nice Marina, 2009-10-30
Captain: , Lewes, DE (2517)

Owners live on their boat in the marina. Everyone is very helpful and will drive you anywhere you want. My wife had to take our dog to a vet and the owners wife drove her there. I was driven to local hardware store for parts by one of the office workers. It is a bit isolated but the harbor is great, in fact it has been designatd as a "Harbor of Refuge" by the USCG and will be dreged.

Norview Marina, 2008-09-15
Captain: , Long Beach (973)

Average place. Grocery, dining, West Marine, hardward store all two miles or more away. No car at marina, no taxi in area.
Zimmerman Marine now runs the yard and haulout to 75MT.
If you draw close to or over 6' approch only at three quarter and above tide with fair conditions. Shallow spot at first red of the channel, deeper after that.
