Reviews for North Shore Marina
Active captain program will not let me edit fuel price, 2016-08-14
Captain: , Chicago, Racine, Fish Creek,Wi (1900)

Went here twice for fuel. PO with fuel purchase was $12.50. Gas was $3.759 a gallon. Staff was helpful and friendly. Protection in marina good from surges not like the Muncipal marina which suffers from wakes and some surges with wind out of west. Unfortunately you are on side opposite main part of town is a negative.

Great stop 8/31/15, 2015-09-02
Captain: , Atlanta (770)

We came in with steerage issues and needing a pump out. Pump out was a little pricey ($20), but seemed strong and included rinse out. Jim came on board at fuel dock and diagnosed problem as being low hydraulic oil in the steering system, spent about 1-1/2 hours adding fluid/bleeding system; even went with us to slip as a "test drive". Next day, when we went to check out, we were told that there was no charge for Jim's time!

I would give this place a 5-star rating, except that it is located on the wrong side of the river for access to town, etc. That said, it was a great one-night stand (again, the pool was really great) and if you need any repairs, this seems to be the place to go.

Not a good transient marina, 2014-08-10
Captain: , Deep Point Marina (30)

I am sure this is a fine marina for the people who live nearby and have their boats here through the season. As a transient, doing the Great Loop, I haven't been to a marina more disorganized than this one. The instructions for coming in were confusing. Nobody answered the VHF radio. Even when I called on the phone, the dockhands had me turning around a couple times, since they didn't know the layout of the marina. They didn't know about the bathroom keys. Nobody offered to help with lines. The bathrooms were very far from the slips. I don't know where or if they had laundry facilities. Internet was poor. Seriously consider another marina or anchoring, this marina will only disappoint transients, unless management gets their act together and trains their dockhands.

Good Fuel stop, 2012-04-05

Normally a good place to stop for fuel. Easy in and out and nice facilities..............................................

Best marina in Grand Haven by far, 2011-10-28
Captain: , Milwaukee (121)

North Shore Marina is not only close to the inlet and beaches, but they have a great service department with very friendly and accommodating staff. We have stored our boat with them for the past 5 years and they have met all of our service needs incluing Awlgrip painting, electrical and mechanical repairs as well as major refit projects.

They offer the best storage rates and are convenient for both Michigan and Wisconsin boaters.

Highly recommended!

North shore nice, 2011-02-14

Very helpful dock staff, nice & close to the big lake, ships store seems to be well stocked & ready to meet the needs of mechanical and casual requirements

Fuel Stop Was Dicey, 2010-06-07
Captain: , Grove, OK (337)

Pulled into fuel dock with minimal help. Dockhand tried to hand me gasoline hose when I asked for diesel. Diesel hose too short to reach across boat for second tank. We had to walk boat forward, again with minimal help. Couldn't give me gallons used after when I gave the credit card....why? When I asked, dockhand wanted to estimate gallons....did she not have a record, or was she too lazy to go get the information.

Best price in area.
