Also a very secure marina, with the owners on -site and walking the docks at odd hours to check up.

Nice place. Nice staff. Town is not attractive. Price as of summer 2016 is considerably higher than stated earlier in this listing.

cleanest marina in maryland, 2016-04-18
Captain: , NEWTOWN SQ PA (59)

this is the best run marina in the area. quiet place owner keeps tabs on things

Really Appreciated The Staff, 2015-09-10
Captain: , Wilmington, NC (986)

After a long day on the bay, the folks at North Point stayed open so we could get fuel and pump out. This may seem trivial but pumping 300 gallons takes a little time. My thank to the staff!

Great Marina, 2015-09-03
Captain: , Bodkin Creek Md. (227)

Everytime we come to stay at this Marina I wonder why I wait so long to return. Nice and quiet. Away from the fray of Rock Hall and yet close enough to walk or take the trolly. This place shows how a marina should be run. First time or regular Joe and Lori make you feel more than welcome. Everything is spick and span clean. They will help you through any problems you may have with your boat or knowledge of their town of Rock Hall. A must go to place. Geroge & C.J. Stromberg aboard the CJ'STOO.

Friendly and well run, 2015-08-25

Will definitely stay here again.

Attention to Details, 2015-07-06
Captain: , Frog Mortar Creek, MD (180)

We stayed two nights during July 4th weekend. This is a well run marina of 100 plus slips. It is clean and neat to a fault, although there was some stagnant water with accumulated trash, dead fish, etc. Based on appearance of marina I am sure the owners will clean this out. Every am dock hands were around to clean duck droppings and spider webs from the docks. Not sure how many transients use this marina but more bicycles should be made available for their use in getting around this small town. Inexpensive town trolly was a big asset. Excellent place to watch the fireworks. Good rest/bar walking distance. Bath rooms and showers are not air conditioned. Some waiting involved in the am to use the limited number of showers/bath rooms. Free coffee and pastries in the am.

Clean, quiet, friendly & helpful., 2014-09-30
Captain: , Lake Norman, NC (191)

I echo most of the other reviews. Joe and Lori, the proprietors, couldn't have been nicer. They don't allow pets on transient boats, because of barking. Likewise, they are not keen on loud music or late partying. They live on the premises.

Clean, well-maintained. Great staff and owners Lori and Joe Campbell are the best!
Come on over, get a slip and tell Lori that Capn. Poundsy sent you.

Owners are friendly and accomadating, 2013-10-24
Captain: , Annapolis (160)

Called and asked how early I could get fuel for a long trip. Owners said as early as you like we live here. Opened the pumps at 6AM before they knew if I was getting 20 gal or 2000 gal.
Next trip I spent the night in my sailboat with 7'8" draft. Plenty of water for me never touched even at low tide. This marina is neat as a pin. Coffee and donuts provided at 07:00! Enjoyed our stay very much.

Pristine, helpful and Resourceful, 2013-10-23
Captain: , Rockport, ON, Canada (265)

The folks at NorthPoint have a marina which is as clean and tidy as I could imagine. Docking via Joe was as easy as it could be. Lori couldn't have been more helpful. Don't discount this marina from previous reviews. Obviously there were issues that we are unaware of but we had none and couldn't have been more satisfied. We stayed a second night and were amply rewarded. Stronger internet would favour those without a Bullet amplifier!

Friendly Service, 2013-10-18
Captain: , Calgary (291)

Sailed a 44ft Jeanneau and was given an easy slip. Dock hand was very helpful. Friendly informative service. Will recommend this marina to anybody

Outstanding hospitality for transients, 2013-08-13
Captain: , Middle River (40)

Have stayed at North Point numerous times. This a well run and maintained facility. Owners live onsite and manage the facility on a day to day basis. It is exceptionally clean and the shower facilities never fail to impress. They go out of their way to ensure you have a pleasant stay. Always someone to assist with docking on arrival and departure. Coffe and donuts on weekend mornings in the pavilion and porch make good conversation and a great start to the day. Marina rules are enforced so everyone can truly enjoy their stay. Only place to stay at Rock Hall in my opinion.

My Home away from home, 2013-05-20
Captain: , Rock Hall,MD (10)

The best Marina on the Chesapeak Lory and Joe are the typical Mom and Pop marina owners... and you can feel the welcome from all there staff too... The Marina is kept clean and spotless and if you need any work done Lory has a large rollerdesk to hook you up with the most qualified craftsman in the region... my yacht is docked there now almost a year and I live 1500 miles away but I know that there will never be a problem with my Yacht as Joe and Lory keep watch over all the boats in there care... and this gives me a lot of peace of mind>>> The Town of Rock Hall is a small Town with a lot of flair... I would recomend the Jave House for your morning Bagel or Paninni's and the harbor Shag for dinner... great food good drinks and life Music on weekends...

Captain: , North Point Creek (41)

Mr. Joe And Mrs. Lori are the best people to have at a marina. One they will send a dock hand out to help you tie up or help you untie. They bathroom are so so clean!!!!!!!!!! You could eat off the floors. All the staff there is the best there could be. Also all the other people are so nice they are willing to help.

Love the Place, 2012-10-09
Captain: , Northpoint Creek MD (10)

We stay at this marina at least 6 times a season. The owners Lori and Joe are great and very accommodating. Place is quiet and very clean. Covered picnic table area with gas grills. Fresh coffee and home baked goods on Sunday morning. No place could be better.

Friendly? No way. But they did apologize., 2012-10-07
Captain: , Corona del Mar, CA (30)

We read all the reviews about how friendly Lori and Joe are, but we saw just the opposite. We were there just overnight, arriving just before closing time (5 pm). My husband went in to register accompanied by our small dog and got an earful about how his wife (me) had lied about having a dog, However, I was never asked. Frankly, how stupid would we have been to send our dog in with my husband if we thought dogs weren't allowed. And how could we have even guessed - we've never in 10 years of cruising stayed at a marina that didn't permit dogs. I don't liked to be called a liar. Next problem was the next morning when we rode our bikes along the docks to go on our morning bike ride. The docks were unusually wide and comfortable for riding. On our way back, Joe scurried out to berate us for riding our bikes on the dock. When we mentioned that we hadn't seen a no riding rule posted, his response was that we should just have known - common sense. We've been riding on docks for 10 years and on the rare occasion of a posted no biking sign, we walk our bikes. So our experience with the marina was unpleasant. One last irritant was the power. My husband asked for and was charged for 50 amps of power. Meanwhile, on the dock, the dockhand told us only 30 amps was available so that's what we plugged into. When we mentioned it to Joe in the morning we learned that it was our fault for having the bad judgment to believe the dockhand. The friendly folks that others mention were certainly not there on our visit. We could hardly wait to leave. We have given the marina a three rather than the one we initially planned because Lori did write to apologize for behavior she acknowledged was inappropriate and out of character for them, and even refunded our marina fee. We appreciated that gesture.

Very friendly and very clean marina that is operated by a great staff of friendly and capable people.

poor customer service, 2012-08-29
Captain: , Pasadena (20)

During the last major storm, prior to our reservations we lost power (ended up benig a total of 7 days without power). I called and spoke with owner of marina to attempt to cancel our reservations. They would only give us half of our money back and would not even credit us for future use. The owner (female) was very rude and said "what part of no refunds don't you understand?" I was appalled and have been telling everyone I know about the rudeness I experienced with simply attempting to cancel reservations. The bay had small craft advisory and Maryland was under a state of emergency due to power loss. I felt more than justified to have to cancel my reservations.. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!! VERY RUDE!

Cruising Variety, 2012-05-15
Captain: , Kilkenny, Ga. (63)

My wife and I are of the cruising variety. We have been sailing our Hinckley Pilot 35 up and down the US east coast for many years from Maine to Florida and hail out of a quiet creek off the ICW in Ga.
North Point Marina is by far the best kept marina we have ever stopped at. Easy entrance, recently dredged channel into Rock Hall, the best view on the Eastern Shore and the ownership as stated in other reviews is top notch and very capable.
A must layover on our sail plans in the Chesapeake.

Comfortable Stop, 2012-05-04
Captain: , Guntersville, AL (451)

A skinny channel that is scheduled for dredging in June of 2012. Arrived at low tide and saw nothing less than 7'. Received local knowledge from Joe at the marina and also from Tow Boat US. Both inputs agreed and we were glad we visited this interesting village of Rock Hall. We visited two of the three museums and they were excellent. Don't miss eating at Watermans Crab House, within walking distance. A very clean marina. We were allowed use of the courtesy car and they have internet!

Value can't be beat, 2011-11-18
Captain: , Frog Mortar Creek, Middle R., Chesapeake (420)

Stayed here several times. A great family owned and operatied marina and motel. Not as upscale as some; but, the price and service can't be beat.

Last time we arrived in a breeze and there was a small boat in the entrance alley. turns out it was the owner out to make sure we made the slip ok. He even landed our bow lines for us.

Owners value the privacy of other boaters. They are not overbearing; but, will make sure you don't interfere with other's enjoyment.

Great marina, 2011-10-14
Captain: , Boston (70)

We flew down for the sail boat show and decided to stay on the eastern side of the bay to get a feel for future cruising in this area. The North Point Marina has 6 motel rooms attached to the marina and we decided to stay there.

Nice clean place and very friendly people (could use some new mattresses!). We got in past check in and there was a note on the door telling us which room we were in and that the door was open - don't see that these days.

We walked the marina and were very impressed with the way it is kept up.

This will definitely be on our list when cruising the Chesapeake.

Little toot, 2011-10-14
Captain: , Rock Hall, Maryland (119)

Statements in prior review are all true. Lori and Joe run a good marina. If you are coming in with a strong breeze ask for Joe to come out and help get into the slip. If available, he may come out with his 13 foot whaler to help guide the boat into a slip

Very friendly marina, 2011-08-17
Captain: , Annapolis (795)

Stayed here during Pirates' weekend 2010. Lucked out getting a slip. Views of the Bay are incredible. Docks and facilities are super. Very friendly staff and very pleasant atmosphere. Would certainly stay here again.

Long approach from North around bar, 2011-07-11
Captain: , Clear Lake, TX (694)

A great marina stop. Met by dockhand at well maintained fixed docks. Spotless facilities and close to Rock Hall. No bus during week when we were there but owner lent us her car to go into town for lunch.
When approaching from North we went around a long bar and approached marina from the south. Those more daring and with shallower draft (4 1/2FT) can possible cut across the bar to the marina.

Best Marina on The Bay, 2010-07-07
Captain: , Cape Coral FL (4187)

Joe and Lori Campbell run this marina. They live here and its really a "mom and pop" atmosphere. They keep it CLEAN and I mean CLEAN. Joe and Lori are the nicest people you may meet. NorthPoint Marina has strict rules that are enforced but that is what keeps it so nice.
Sat/Sun mornings they provide complimentary coffee and danish/donuts. Sometimes Lori bakes her own cakes. In Oct they often have afternoon hot cider and cookies.
Incredible customer satisfaction in this business. Most slip-holders have been there for many years,
This was our first season and we cant believe how much we love it at NorthPoint Marina, thanks to Lori and Joe Campbell.
"Have you ever seen cleaner power stands? " They have their dock hands CLEAN them with a sponge, soap and water every week !!!!! They also clean the dock !

friendly and spotless, 2007-09-19
