Reviews for North East Marine Service
Excellent for Smaller Boats, 2017-01-03
Captain: , Erie, PA (120)

This is an excellent marina for smaller craft, up to the low 30s in size range unless you were seeking shelter from storm, etc. Is a popular lunch/dinner trip for Erie boaters and also a popular base for fishermen for perch, lake trout, salmon on some offshore formations.

That being said, it is an excellent marina with all of the basic facilities kept in good shape (ie. good clean restrooms and showers, fuel and pumpout and docks in good shape, etc.). Nice restaurant with spectacular view of the lake whether coming by boat or car.

Would have given five stars except for length limitations for larger boats and it's a ways to a grocery store.

This is an excellent stop on south shore of the lake about halfway between Dunkirk and Erie; would not hesitate to duck in with larger boat if needed to, as the lake is very exposed here. Be careful upon entering as it can shoal up and come in tight on the NE marina corner entrance; there are large boulders if you come in parallelling the shore (a bad habit we Erie boaters have from from entering Presque islae Bay).
