Reviews for Niagara-on-the-Lake Sailing Club
stayed 2 nights all good , 2015-06-10
Captain: , Ft Myers, Florida (1663)

Excellent location and facilities, cost. Must prepay and no refunds. Because the wind was not from North we had no wake issues, a North wind would be tough.
Had 2 30amp vs single 50amp. Pumpout at main dock, good restroom and shower facilities. 10 min beautiful walk to town.
The town is great , much to see and do, wine tours, galleries, shopping, many restaurants , bike rentals, Ft George 10 min walk. Can take various buses to Niagra Falls or taxi is a flat $40 each way. Great ice cream shops in town. We enjoyed a play as part of the summer Shaw Festival
Do not miss the town!

What Happened?, 2014-08-18
Captain: , Toronto (40)

We have been going to NLSC for 20 years and have always had nothing but great things to say. Barb and the staff where always extremely helpful and made us feel welcome.
Last week, a friend of ours drove down to visit us on our boat and as luck would have it, the QEW was closed because of a serious accident and she had to sail home with us. Ed would not let her park her car in the parking lot overnight until she could return with her daughter and p\u the car the next day. Really??
So sad to have to report this inconsiderate, hopefully isolated incident.

Great place, 2013-06-12
Captain: , North Point Marina (50)

We stopped here after the Welland. Great place with many helpful, friendly, members. Great food within walking distant.

The only game in town....., 2012-07-22
Captain: , Toronto, ON (1749)

I found the staff less than stellar, they kust didn't seem to know what they were doing. The "slips" on the outside are brutal, the worst in a month on Lake Ontario, constant swells and wakes and it doesn't seem to matter how early you make a reservation, but, like the title says, they are the only option for mooring on the Canadian side.

Charming, walk able town, 2012-07-13
Captain: , Naples, FL (1096)

Cute shops, abundance of flowers, grocery store within walking distance, secure marina. We paid $1 per ft without reservation on the outside wall. Wake was minimal. We would go back in a heartbeat.

Night out on the town, 2012-03-03
Captain: , Olcott, NY (2536)

This excellent club is the perfect place to hide out fora few days and catch some shows.
Stay inside if possible.
Clean facilities
Great bar

Great location and view, 2011-09-16
Captain: , toronto (449)

We had a wonderfull few days there and went back a few days later. The town has great restaraunts, lots to do and see. The club was very nice and the staff was great. If you stay on the outside of the wall on the river the wake can be very bad. Take an inside slip or moore on a ball.

Great club abd facilities, 2011-07-10
Captain: , Penetanguishene ON (219)

Helpful attendants very clean wshrooms and showers. North winds can cause problem and outside dock. Ten minute walk to bustling upscale downtown.

Great Destination, 2011-05-09
Captain: , TORONTO (424)

It's too bad that there is not more room at this good club. Great staff make you feel welcome, members are friendly. It is difficult to get into especially on long weekends.

Going to the theatre, 2010-02-24
Captain: , Toronto (592)

If you're into a night of first class theatre, you can book a slip here and walk into Niagara-on-the-Lake. Lot's of traffic on the river of course, but a friendly staff is helpful. Good facilities. Fair fuel prices.

A pleasant small club, in a great town. Take time to visit and wander through Niagara on the Lake.
