Approach

Milford Haven is a major oil and gas terminal with regular large ship movements. Keep outside the main channels where possible and monitor VHF channel 12 at all times while navigating the port. Give way to all large vessels, and wait outside the channel if one is approaching.

Inbound, continue upstream until you see the Cleddau Bridge ahead of you. After passing Neyland Spit port hand mark you will see a quay wall to the north with a number of pontoons attached and there are also a number of small craft moorings. This is the entrance to the marina lower basin.

To avoid the shallow and drying ground on the western side of the marina make your approach to the east of the small craft moorings. As you approach, the maintained channel is marked with lateral channel marks (Quick red and Quick green). Keep between these, especially at low water. The visitor pontoon is directly ahead.

Reviews for Neyland Yacht Haven

Can take big boats (was there on a Challenge 72) and you really must visit the chandlery and attached cafe. As we were having breakfast the staff brought the lady who runs the shop her birthday cake, she is 94!

Fantastic Place to Berth, 2015-03-16
Captain: , Milford Haven UK (35)

Neyland has helpful staff, great facilities, 2 shops for boar bits, service centre for inboards and outboards, cafe, resturant and 24 hour security. I am berthed here for the first time as they are the cheapest marina around and I will be staying for the year. If you pop by, say hello to Wanderers Dream.
