Reviews for Newtown Creek
Best Solent anchorage?, 2013-12-20
Captain: , Continuous cruising (61)

Can get very crowded at times - madly so on Bank Holiday weekends, but it can be the most tranquil place out of season. Pick up a bouy (chargeable) or find a spot to anchor in the thick gloopy mud. Fantastic holding but strong tides can make some areas tricky. Keep to the channels when moving around as it get shallow very quickly at low tide.
Having found your spot relax and enjoy the wildlife!
