Great docks & clean , 2017-06-30
Captain: , Marco Island, FL (40)

Ken was there right away to get us into a great floating dock. Love the location and price.

Nice Stop in a Nice Town, 2017-06-18
Captain: , North Charleston, SC (752)

We spent a couple days here. It's inexpensive and the staff is friendly and competent. We were on a nice floating dock with good power.

The heads and showers were clean and worked well.

The town is interesting for a day or two. Liveaboards were friendly. It's a good place to stay.

Will Stop Again, 2017-05-25
Captain: , Sitka (142)

We stopped on our north. John was there to grab our dock lines and offered to help with the power cord. The landscaping/grounds are beautiful and right downtown with easy walking to restauants. Dog firiendly also. One surpriise was the wifi, Great bandwidth even over the weekend on the boat.

Great place, Great management , 2017-05-17
Captain: , Kemah TX (140)

Pam,the manager, is wonderful and efficient. Transient slips are easy to get into. Staff was ready and waiting when we called in at the bridge. NSB is a gem of a place.
Pam was most helpful in forwarding a package to us, that did not arrive before we needed to depart.

Highlly Recommended, 2017-05-04
Captain: , Portsmouth NH (430)

Can't add much more to previous reviews except iI was able to get parts at the NAPA to repair an oil leak. Worth every penny of the cost. Nice people in a nice place.

Highly Recommend, 2017-05-03
Captain: , Charleston, SC (210)

Wonderful marina. Staff is exceptional and provides a level of service beyond most facilities. Of course they are available to assist with docking, but also free pumpouts at your slip and regular wash downs of the docks to keep clean. Easy walking to town and restaurants. Called in advance for slip and advised of an engine problem. Marina coordinated mechanic and he was at the slip within 10 minutes of our arrival, at 4 pm. Immediately entered the HOT engine room and repair was complete in 2 hours. East Coast Repair based at the marina is a father and son team, Rick and Brian. Highly Recommend.

Wonderful!, 2017-04-29

We stayed at the New Smyrna Beach City Marina for a month. The staff and Pam, the harbor master were awesome! Great Marina, we will stay there again!!

Great Stop!, 2017-04-14
Captain: , Mattituck, NY. (391)

Stopped both going N to St. Augustine and returning S from St. Augustine. Facilities very clean, dock master friendly and very helpful. Nice town to walk around with lots of restaurants. Met 3 other MTOA boats here also.

near perfect, 2017-04-02
Captain: , Spruce Head (582)

Successfully backed into the slip with wind and current going in different directions. Pam and Ned did a good job containing our trawler, given the conditions. This is a very nice marina, with friendly boaters in a convenient location for an excellent price. Wi-Fi not really adequate for streaming, but that aside, near perfect. NSB is lovely and we will definitely return.

We will be back again!, 2017-03-25
Captain: , Michigan City, IN, USA (290)

we stopped for an overnite slip on 3/23/17 with 20+ kt winds, the dockhand and dockmaster caught our lines and secured our boat quickly and professionally to the wide floating cement dock. The downtown area on Canal Street has lots to offer with many good restaurants, even an old fashion drug store. After dining at the Corkscrew Restaurant (very nice) we decided to stay another day to walk over to the beach (long walk). We fell in love with this town. The marina grounds/facilities are very clean and well maintained, the staff are very personable and knowledgeable, other boaters are friendly. The internet was good - usually around 2 mb/s download speed. The internet did stop working the first evening for a while but we found a few open networks for public access from the nearby county office building - so no problem. I asked about a monthly dockage rate and was advised only daily and annual rates. Too bad because we would really like to stay here for a month or two. Loaner bikes would be nice as the Publix is a very long walk. Uber is reported to be good in this area and there is a bus service. We picked up many clear tv channels using our masthead antenna. NSB is probably the cleanest town we have ever been to - no litter visible anywhere. Found it is possible to dinghy across the ICW to the north side of the Harris Saxxon bridge and beach a dinghy there, nearby steel posts and fencing provide a place to cable lock to and the Publix is then a short walk from there. Location is 29 1.77'N 80 54.228'W

Nice marina, 2017-03-23
Captain: , Eagle (292)

Clean, great facilities, good people, close to Canal Street Historic District where you can find arts, history, shopping and dining. Also across the street from the Old Fort Park historical site.
Very weak Wi-Fi. No cable. No courtesy car. Long bike ride to Publix.
Beer and ice in bait shop next door.

Management response:
Thank's for your comments. All marina's have to deal with different issues when trying to meet their customer's needs. We have made changes to both our Wi-Fi and cable TV service based on comments from both our permanent boaters and our transient customers, most of whom are pleased with the changes we have made. As a municipal marina, our insurance does not allow us to offer a courtesy car to our visitors; there are, however, a variety of services - public bus, taxi, and Uber to provide service for the short ride to the beach and to grocery markets.
We do read and take all comments to heart and try to make changes that will make our marina better.

Nice friendly marina, 2017-02-12
Captain: , Chicago, Racine, Fish Creek,Wi (3189)

2 10,11 2017 returned again Went to beach on my bike and stopped at Publix on way back. This town really has a lot to offer. One of our favorite stops. 1 21 2017 stayed again staff helpful and informative. They had street fair and Saturday market. nice town:) Also watched Rocket launch in the distance. 3 23 2016 stayed again a night on way northbound. Rented car from Enterprise to have dinner with daughter on her business trip to Orlando (one hour drive there). Wonderful staff helped me single hand dock & depart again. This is a excellent place to stop and visit. I will return.
Two week stay from Dec 14-27 2015. Left boat here to go home for Xmas. Flew out of Daytona beach airport. Rented car from Enterprise to get to airport and did same to get back from airport.
Nice friendly staff made stay a pleasure and all went well. Visited Lighthouse at inlet, dunes park at inlet and beach. Nice area to be in enjoyed our stay. Nice Xmas decorations in town next to marina. Laundry worked well and reasonable pricing.
3/18/2015 I was single handed and called to see if I could get a slip. Pam said she would get back to me in a half hour to let me know. She called back and confirmed one was open and would get help to grab the lines. A little while later she called and said she had a straight in slip so it would be even easier to dock for me. When I showed up she had four people to grab lines for me it was a piece of cake. The Dolphins were playing behind my boat so we had live entertainment. I took my bike and went to Winn/Dixie for provisions about a 2 mile ride. The marina was full of friendly helpful people, a great stop for me.

Just A Wonderful Marina and Town , 2017-02-06
Captain: , Confetti, Kadey Krogen (1719)

Pam, harbor master, was great especially as we had to adjust our reservation. Staff was there to meet us upon docking and were a great help as there was a bit of wind. Docks are very well maintained. Shower rooms were very clean as were bathrooms. MSB is a great town. Check out the Farmer's Market on Saturday morning. Great veggies, breads, cheeses and lots more. For dinner try Jacob's on the Corner within walking distance to the marina. For watching sports you can't beat Half Wall Sports Grill with 24 TV sets. There isn't a bad seat in the restaurant/bar that isn't a great view. Food is very good especially the nachos, bean burger and mussels. Also several churches within walking distance. We look forward to returning here! Great marina and very friendly atmosphere

Management response:
Thank you for your review. Greatly appreciated.

Reasonable marina well located, 2017-01-25
Captain: , Bay City, MI (730)

Well located marina with helpful staff. Downtown is a block away with a number of restaurants including a small brewery and a rather nice restaurant with lots of outdoor eating. Also fun shops, to peruse including an antique shop we found interesting. Laundry with a number of washers and dryers for $1.50. Bathrooms are clean with two showers.

Please tell us ahead of time that you have short docks. Some are infirmed or have dogs. We could not get the code to work for the internet.

Price was right.

Management response:
Thank you for the review.

grate place to stop, 2016-12-24

Great Marina in all respects!, 2016-12-06
Captain: , Macatawa Michigan (1144)

We enjoy being here because of the wonderful folks at the Marina, Pam the dockmaster and company and all the friendly local folks. Good places to eat within walking distance. The beachside Publix is really good and Sandy with Adams Family Taxi Cab will take you there for a very reasonable fare and wait for you. New washer and dryers. Clean bathrooms. Recycling!! If you have a day and need hair salon or nail service, Christie at Swanky Studio@ Urban Loft will fit you in for hair and Cassie for nails. Short walk from Marina and excellent prices. A very enjoyable stop. Stay for a while. Dolphin show at dusk.

Best value on the Florida east coast, 2016-12-06
Captain: , Port Aransas, TX (1453)

We stayed 1 night 11/29 and enjoyed our stay. This is a small municipal marina with great staff, facilities in very good condition. Expert help tying up; Pam was a wealth of information on the area. Location is a short walk to "old town" with restaurants, bars and shops - upscale and inviting. No groceries nearby so loaner bike would be helpful.

Management response:
Thank you for the review.

Fantastic Marina - Wonderful staff, 2016-10-31
Captain: , St Petersburg, FL (120)

We stayed one night to wait on weather. Pam and Rick were beyond helpful. The facilities are top notch and the town has everything you'd need. We're putting this place down in the log as a favorite.

Almost a 5 star, 2016-10-12
Captain: , Plantation Yacht Harbor, Islamorada, Fla. Keys (4686)

We took a slip for our 65' motor yacht Travis McGee atthe marina for a month in early September. We were not familiar with the City of New Smyrna Beach andwere looking forward to spending time here learning about the city and experiencing its noted charm. We were not disappointed. We quickly became regulars at several establishments along Canal and Flagler. We enjoyed daily runs to the beach and along Riverside Dr.But most of all, we felt at home at the City Marina and found new friends amongits tenants and the dock staff. Pam, Rick, Bill and Pat made our stay pleasant and carefree.

Then came Hurricane Matthew. Our plans to cruise to the Keys at the end of our stay were no longer feasible as the projections for Matthew placed it squarely along our intended route. And, traveling north offered no better prospects. So, we decided to remain here inNSB.That is when Pam and the City Marina staff really shined.

We received valuable advice and ready assistance to prepare for the anticipated storm. When it was evident that it would not be safe to remain aboard, Pam located a refuge for us at the Anchor Inn on Washington. We moved there to weather Matthew when power and water were cut at the marina in preparation for the storm surge. The Anchor Inn could not have been more appropriate or accommodating.Once the storm passed, we returned to the marina to find that our home was stillafloat and had only suffered minor damage. The marina's floating docks had done their job and held Travis McGee safe and sound. The sturdy and well-maintained condition of these facilities is anothertestament to the excellent ofPam and her staff.

I would rate NSB City Marina higher, but as a municipal marina it does not havve all the bells and whistles that the finest private facilities do. So, to be fair, I never rank municipal marinas higher than a 4, but if I did, NSB City would get 5 stars. They certianly performed that well for us. Highest recommendations from Travis McGee.

Management response:
Thank you for the review.

Great rest stop on ICW, 2016-06-20
Captain: , Melbourne, FL (20)

Pam and her staff are top notch and we're on the dock to guide me in. Paperwork at office was efficient and fast. I was only going to spend the night, but added a couple extra day due to weather. Canal St is just around the corner from the marina with great shops and restaurants. The staff can tell you where the best deals can be found . wifi was solid and fast. You can get the p/w and codes to the restroom and wash room at the office. They do not have fuel service, hence the 4 stars. 5 star staff. I'll be back when return South.

Management response:
Thank you for the review.

Great marina, easy access off Intracoastal, 2016-05-17
Captain: , New Buffalo, Michigan (780)

Stayed here two nights. Great little marina. Nice floating dock. Clean bathrooms and showers. Close walk to town or bike over north causeway to flagler ave. and more shopping. Pam, the harbor master and Rick the dock attendant were outstanding. Friendly, courteous, and professional. You owe it to yourself to stop here if passing by. Make sure to stop in Little Drug Co. for an old fashioned soda fountain with great milk shakes. Order the small shake, dont ask why I know that. Enjoy.

We've stayed here a number of times and have appreciated the help the staff has provided. We lost our dog to old age here and staff member Pam was beyond helpful. She took us to her Vet in her car and stayed with us until we could come back to our boat. Her compassion was truely appreciated.
People make a Marina and this is one of the best.

Great Overnight or Longer Stop, 2016-03-15
Captain: , Fort Monroe, VA (949)

Planned on a single night and wished we had flexibility to stay longer. Floating docks in great shape, good power and WIFI. City was easy walk from marina but we remained on the boat, so cannot provide update. Mike was on the dock helping us to tie up and get power on he boat. He provided great local knowledge for the town and the ICW. Price was great for a night 's stay at $1.55/ft tax & power included. Easy in and out from ICW with plenty of water. Great stop before St Augustine northbound. Will stop here when we are southbound, for a longer stay.

Management response:
Thank you for the review.

Feb. 2, 2016 for 10 days, 2016-02-10
Captain: , Solomons, MD (1290)

This was a great stop. We were only staying for 2/3 days, but when the temps dropped and the winds picked up we asked Pam if we could stay for the week. Great staff. Can't say enough about them. Facilities clean and good washers $1.50 and dryers $1.00, if I remember correctly. Lots of good walking and great restaurants on both sides of the causeway. Also very pet friendly. Can't wait to go back in the Spring.

Management response:
Thank you for the review. We look forward to seeing you and Carol in the Spring.

Great Location, Friendly Staff, Excellent Value, 2015-12-01
Captain: , Hobe Sound, Florida (480)

Stopped overnight and met up with friends for a late lunch in town. A lot easier to get in than it looks from outside. Very helpful and friendly dock attendant, Rick, and marina manager, Pam. Well maintained floating docks and plenty of dog-walking areas nearby make it pet-friendly. Everything you need is availlable. We enjoyed our brief stay and have no complaints whatsoever.

Management response:
Thank you for the review.

One of our favorite stops both north and south bound over the years. Friendly, helpful staff, great shower facilities (plenty of pressure). Canal St. is within walking distance for restuarants and shopping Maloney's is gone but replaced by a good BBQ joint and the Old Drug store for ice cream.
10/29/14 There's a new coffee shop and brewery / burger joint as well.

11/07/15 spent two nights, new dock master is making improvements to the docks and sprucing up the facilities. As always enjoyed Downtown Smyrna, Great BBQ at Yellow Dogs Eats.

Helpful staff, and nice facilities. Close to restaurants and drug store. Grocery not too far - fairly easy bike ride. There is a point-to-point bus service, but didn't get a chance to try it. NSB is a nice, clean beach town, with no tackiness.

New(er) floating docks - Pam (dockmaster) is incredible - everyone goes out of their way to assure you are enjoying their home.

'Old Town' a block or two away - nice choice for cafes / eateries and small boutiques - Saturday Farmers Market (across the street) is incredible.

Very clean restrooms / showers / laundry.

Great Stop / Great Staff, 2015-03-28
Captain: , Evergreen, CO (40)

We had the pleasure of spending nearly 2 weeks here earlier this month - loved it. The efficient marina is staffed by an experienced, helpful and friendly crew that have created a welcoming atmosphere in the marina. It was easy to make friends with locals, longer term, and transiant boaters. We cruise with a "pup" who needed to be checked out by a vet while we were there. Even though the marina was frequently full, Pam and her staff were wonderful in jungling things so we could stay beyound our original reservation enabling us the be sure our pup was responding well to the prescribed treatment. For us that is 5-star service.

Management response:
Thank you for the review. We hope to see you again.

Great time while there for two days, 2015-03-23
Captain: , Jacksonville Florida (417)

UPDATE- Mar 2015, Had a great time again. We stayed there two different nights, once on the way down and again on the way up, and it was a great stay. The best parts this time was the dolphins playing and flipping out of air, right off our stern, and the Lobster/Crab/creamie sauce covered salmon at the Dolphin View. No festival this time, Yellow Dog Eats was okay, recommend the Elvis sandwich. The crew at the dock was great, we met some new friends while there. Look forward to going back. Kb, s/v Renasci
Awesome location for the local arts festival going on, farmer's market on Sat morning is only one block away, cool stuff. Jason's Corner did a good breakfast and the Grouper sandwich at the Dolphin View resturant is a must. Marina is out of the current and is clean and well managed, facilities are kept in great shape, wifi needs a boost though. Definitely staying there again. Kb

Right off the ICW, friendly helpfull staff, floating transient docks, reasonable rates, nice restrooms laundry and showers, walking distance to restaurants and shops. There is a lot to like in this stopover. To top it off, dolphins played behind our boat all evening. There is a lot going on in the basin that the marina is located in, but the transient slips were straight in from the ICW, so very easy in and out. This marina/city is one of the best values on the Florida ICW.

Management response:
Thank you for the review.

Great place., 2015-03-04
Captain: , Atlanta (770)

Stayed here 2/26-27/2015. Easy in-out on floating docks. Very helpful dockhands. Good bath, showers.

Great downtown in easy walking distance of marina.

Management response:
We would like to thank you for the review. We hope to see you again when you are traveling through New Smyrna Beach.

One of our favourites, 2015-02-12
Captain: , West Kelowna, British Columbia (310)

This is a convenient and reasonably priced marina with very friendly staff that go out of their way to make sure you are well looked after. Wifi not great on transient dock, even with booster. Close to a few good restaurants. If you have the time, stay a few days and explore the other side of bridge with lots of shops, dining, art and the beautiful beach. Rent bikes or ride your own. Well worth exploring.

Management response:
We would like to thank you for the review.

Nice marina and great little city, 2015-01-13
Captain: , Annapolis (560)

We stayed here for 10 days. Enjoyed it very much. Friendly and helpful staff, and good location to check out nearby historical district. Great art center called the Hub on Canal St. that hosts some nice music. New restaurant Cork & Bottle was excellent. Big thing lacking here is transportation to the beaches. WiFi at marina was a bit weak out on the docks.

Management response:
We would like to thank you for the review. Hope to see you again.

great stop, 2014-11-29
Captain: , West Gardiner, ME (735)

Enjoyed everything about the facility, and especially the staff. The only thing it lacked for me was a lounge to plug in my electronics to use their excellent wifi. Our slip was at the end, and I do not have any electronics on my boat to boost wifi. Enjoyed the outlet in the laundry room and the ladies room to get my tasks done.

Management response:
Thank you for the review.

Well Run/Friendly Operation, 2014-11-06
Captain: , Manchester, MA (30)

John and his crew do an excellent job of getting you set up for your stay. The very nearby downtown area is very enjoyable with a number of good places to eat and shop - topped off by a genuine old fashioned pharmacy complete with soda fountain and lunch counter.

Management response:
Thank you for the review.

Great Stopover., 2014-06-19
Captain: , London (709)

Spent a week here on the way north, great place to be, near Old town and some great restaurants.
The staff are extremely helpful and the floating docks are clean and easy to use. If you need a rental, Enterprise will pick you up from the marina. Visited Daytona Beach by car as the marinas there are way too expensive.
Bathrooms are small but clean and tidy. The town is good fun and twice a month on Saturday there is a vintage car show in town, amazing fun!

Management response:
Thank you for the review.

Easy Stop - Great Food, 2014-05-03
Captain: , North Myrtle Beach, SC (115)

We always enjoy our stay a NSB City Marina. Friendly and helpful staff, convenient to a variety of restaurants and shops. Two must restaurants are the Little Drug Pharmacy, established in 1922 for breakfast and ice cream, and The Dolphin View Restaurant (large blue building beside the marina) with it%u2019s Flounder Reuben Sandwich and view of the ICW.

Management response:
Thank you for the review.

very Friendly and Most Helpful, 2014-04-10
Captain: , Kent Island, MD (392)

Rick was very helpful in docking. This is a very easy in and out. The facility is clean and convenient to restaurants with a Winn Dixie about 1 1/2 miles away. This would be a 5 star facility if they had a local knowledge packet. There was nothing but a map without any info about local transportation or shopping.

Management response:
Thank you for the review.

Close to Town with Floating Docks, 2014-04-06
Captain: , MV Red Head (3106)

The marina is right in town making it easy to walk to restaurants, etc. The staff was professional, helpful, and friendly. What really makes this a 5 star for us is the floating docks which makes getting our two large dogs on and of the boat much easier.

Good marina with friendly staff, 2014-02-26
Captain: , Newcastle upon Tyne (533)

Staff were very helpful when I bungled entry to slip in cross wind, thankfully no damage. Facilities are good, but no catering on site so ate at New Smyrna Marina some distance across the bridge. Used a taxi to reach Publiix.

A little gem of the waterways, 2013-12-05
Captain: , Clear Lake, TX (694)

Stopped here for 1 n1ght while heading South. No problems experienced. Met by dock manager who assisted in docking and getting settled. Easy in an out. Adequate showers and heads close to boats. Closeness to a quaint little town (shops & restaurants) is a plus. Value is especially good for the facility.

Great little place, 2013-12-02
Captain: , Portsmouth, England (190)

Great little place. Price is reasonable, dockmasters are extremely welcoming. Laundry good and shower brilliant %u2013 lots of hot water and spotlessly clean. Good shelter from all directions apart from easterly. The main street is quaint but we preferred the main street across the bridge (about 30 minutes walk), there are some nice restaurants, touristy shops and really liked the coffee shop %u2013 Nickolas Surf? Only slight issue with location is proximity to grocery, we walked to Publix which was about 45 minutes, with a small amount we would have walked back but we bought a lot so caught cab for $10. The only reason it is not a 5* because of distance to grocery.

Great Lttle City Marina, 2013-11-27
Captain: , Merritt Island, FL (556)

The marina staff are friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. Transients are put on a nice floating dock. The showers and laundry are good. Restaurants and marine stores in walking distance. We thoroughly enjoyed Canal Streen and the river front park.

New Smyrna Beach City Marina, 2013-11-19
Captain: , Sandwich (722)

The 2 dock assistants were most accommodating and quite pleasant. The bath/shower and laundry facilities were clean. Walking distance to Canal Street with shops and restaurants (dined at Jasons - good) but no supermarkets in walking distance. We were docked on floating docks. There is a section of old stationery/piling type docks. Just off the ICW making for easy overnight stop.

Great small marina close to town, 2013-10-01
Captain: , Bayou Bonfouca, LA- Great Loop Cruiser (708)

We stayed here overnight on our way up the ICW. The dockmaster was helpful with lines, maps of local places and general infoi.
We enjoyed our stop over and will stop again on the way back.

Layed Back, 2013-09-11
Captain: , Southport, NC (716)

The dockmaster meet us promptly and helped us tie up. Nice showers and laundry facilities. Close to everything in town, but we didnt get to tour around. We did however eat at the restaurant located in the marina called Dolphin View. Its a very rustic place where you eat off paper plates, fill your own drink and watch a great sunset. Its a open air kinda place where some of the tables are on the sand. After we ate, we sat in their aderondack chairs and watched people catch fish as the sun went down. A great relaxing evening after a long hard, hot trip. we wish we could have stayed longer. Next time we will. New Symrna is a hidden place overshadowed by the Daytona life style.

Good Price for what you get, 2013-06-23
Captain: , North Myrtle Beach, SC (3210)

A definite stop. Good service, facilities and docking. Some piers are fixed, some floating. Easy to get to pumpout. Easy walk to town and nice walk across bridge to beach (albiet 30 minutes). We will definitely stay here again. Do not understand why a government run business charges tax though - makes no sense. Stayed again 6/2013 and a great place still

Facilities and staff ROCK!, 2013-05-28
Captain: , San Francisco, ca (40)

Had a great stay w/ my wife and 2 boys. Facilities are great and staff VERY helpful/knowledgeable.
Looking forward to returning.

Great city marina, 2013-05-01
Captain: , Punta Gorda, Fl (960)

This marina is excellent--always answers the radio and there to help with dockage. Floating secure docks. Immaculate shower/bath and laundry all secure but very convenient. Downtown short walk and also the Dolphin View Restaurant. Friendly folks and staff. Easy turn off the ICW. Short taxi or bike ride to the beach. We also have taken a taxi to the movie theater and had dinner right next door and done grocery.
Farmers Market is on Saturday across the street. This town also has lots of parades!!

One night stay, 2013-04-07
Captain: , Scottsdale (421)

Had room for my Leopard 40 cat. Secure marina with little effect from wakes on the ICW. Good restroom/shower area. Friendly staff and a good price.

They have floating dock if not full...Very nice and helpful.

really do not understand why this is nit a stared faviort.

Excellect value facility, 2013-04-03
Captain: , Hartfield (281)

We stayed on the floating dock for one night. The faqcility is new and everything works. The wifi reached out to the far docks, but is a bit sketchy if inside the boat. In the old part of town, it is a pleasant walk to see old New Smyrna.

I would call the dockmaster on my cell rather than rely on VHF, which he seems not to exactly monitor.

We were only in New Smyrna once before in 2001, and this is a fabulous facility as compared to the old honor docking system in existence then.

Very nice floating docks, 2013-03-27
Captain: , Poughkeepsie, NY (6077)

The marina is relatively new, built in 2006 and the floating concrete docks are first rate, the price is right too at $1.25/ft. We were met by the dockmaster and we appreciated the help in docking. There are fixed docks also available if the floating ones are filled up.

You are within walking distance to historic downtown but there is no supermarket or hardware store in the downtown district.

There's a park across the street for walking the dog.

Stayed Before, 2013-03-23
Captain: , Austin, Texas (1774)

We have stayed here several times on our trips north and south. The marina is consistent in its friendly helpful staff, nice docks (both fixed and floating) and clean shoreside facilities. We had a nice dinner at Jason's Corner a few blocks away. Good stop.

Convenient to the ICW, 2013-03-14
Captain: , Hilton Head Island, SC (377)

The marina is well-kept, with a friendly staff. We were fortunate to snag a slip for two nights on the floating section of the dock. The bathrooms and showers are clean and roomy.

As for the free shttle, it is truly hit or miss. We called for a ride to the beach but were told it would be a 40 minute wait so we walked there and back (takes about 25 minutes each way). We did manage to get a ride in the electric cart to a restaurant and back the same evening.

We almost froze on the return trip about 9 pm because the cart is completely open except for the widscreen. Take a jacket if it's a cool evening because it's like riding a motorcycle in terms of the wind chill factor. The part that isn't like a motocycle is that the cart only goes 25 mph. I will say that the driver was very nice (they work for tips) and even pulled into a quick mart on the way back so we could pick up a bag of ice.

Friendly and Convenient, 2013-02-12
Captain: , Wilmington, DE (216)

Prompt docking assistance and a decent restaurant within easy walking distance. The Dolphin View provides fresh seafood in an eclectic atmosphere.

Very nice stop, 2013-02-04
Captain: , Oriental, N.C. (130)

Marina very nice, personel helpful, restrooms clean, but water pressure is extrodinary! Walked to beach, about two miles.

There is supposedly a free shuttle that will pick you up and come and get you. This did not work for us. When we called the shuttle we got an answering machine. It is a good thing that we did not wait but walked back to the marina. The shuttle never did get back to us. I would not rely on it.

However, there is a Flex bus that serves the entire area for a low daily rate.

Town was closed., 2013-01-08
Captain: , Roseville MN (398)

Marina was great; town was quaint and "Old Florida". Easy walk to the main street. But the few businesses there were either closed on Sunday [and on other days?], vacant, or under remodeling/reconstruction. Went back to the boat to cook. We had heard so many good things about this town we had to stop; sorry it didn't work out that way. Was going to spend a few days here. Did not.

All closed on Sunday pm also., 2013-01-06
Captain: , Roseville, MN (372)

Lucky to get a slip here and great help from the manager, John. Laundry worked well. Walked downtown on Sunday about 4ish.
Nice downtown of gift shops and a few restaurants. No restaurants open for dinner. $4/day for cable tv. Easy in/easy out.

Could have stayed longer, 2012-12-28
Captain: , Bristol, RI (431)

But we had to keep moving on. When we arrived it seemed as if everyone who was staying for the night got there at the same time, but it all worked out. Dockhands and manager were very helpful. Restrooms and showers clean. We enjoyed dinner at Jason's, but breakfast at The Golden Biscuit was mediocre. Should have gone back to Jason's.
Definitely would stay here again.

All Closed On Mondays, 2012-12-24
Captain: , Louisville (301)

We stopped here a week ago, and it happened to be on a Monday. Virtually every restaurant in the village is closed on Monday night. We did utilize the available electric golf cart service, and visited Limericks on the beach side. Food was good enough and the service was cheap and friendly. Floating docks, and quickest pump out on the east coast!

Nice stopping point, Great staff, 2012-12-12
Captain: , Charleston, SC (20)

Good floating dock, very helpful staff. We needed a break from the fog and narrow passage. They gave us a slip where we could reach the pump out station. Two men where their to grab our lines and help safely tie us off.
Small historic village within walking distance, but only sell beer and wine. We had to call the free electric car shuttle twice before getting an answer. But once they did they picked us up within 10 minutes. Buzzed across the bridge to the ocean side and we had a great dinner at Norwoods. We had no problems reaching the shuttle to get brought back to the marina, and again they were there within 10 minutes. We really like this eco friendly and low cost (just tip them) way to get around.
The laundry facilities are open 24/7 and only $2 per load. The restrooms are clean and have two showers each.

Lovely Stop, 2012-11-13
Captain: , little river (269)

We came in on 10-30 and stayed two days. Easy access. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Docks were floating and in good repair. The bathrooms were clean and in good shape. They were for the marina guests only, not open to the public. Very nice town. There is a shuttle service which works for tips only. Excellent value, we will stop again.

Call ahead on weekends, 2012-06-24
Captain: , St. Petersburg FL (187)

Pat, the DM, was very helpful on the tie-up. We pulled in around 3:00, and by 6:00, marina looked full. It's a one-person operation, so be sure to call ahead in case Pat's tied up.

Dinner at nearby Dolphin View restaurant was ennnhh.

Great Stay, 2012-05-03
Captain: , Soddy Daisy TN (152)

Very nice stay....had good help getting into slip. Even filled our request for stern tie to port...super place, a must stop. Downtown is not to be missed...short walk, nice town, eat at Panheads Pizzeria for the best pizza anyplace...owner is Eric Ross, just off Canal Street on Orange St.

Great Stop, 2012-04-27
Captain: , Blaine, WA (70)

Very Nice facility. We had a slip on a floating dock which is worth requesting, some slips are on fixed docks but appear to be mostly non-transient. Also, must walk Canal Street...look for the best Thai restaurant around (Thai Mango). Their Thai soft- shell crab is fantastic...better than New Orleans! We'll stop here again when we go south,

Great bargain, great marina, 2012-04-24
Captain: , Dunedin, FL (7375)

Great bargain at $1.25/ft. Help docking, lots of local info from dockmaster. Transients are on new floating docks, great condition. Close to Canal St. historical area, several restauants. Close to shuttle to beach area, close to historical museum.

Captain: , East Falmouth, MA (1643)

The marina manager, John Bauchman, is very freindly, helpful, and has good local knowledge. It is an easy exit from the AICW, just past the South Causeway Bridge. The docka are floating concrete and everything is in excellent condition. It is a short walk to the Canal St. Historical section where there are a few restaurants, local businesses, and antique shops. There is no grocery store nearby. The $1.25/ft. was still good as of 4/19/2012

Above average marina, 2012-03-28

Excellent Again, 2012-03-03

Good staff, good floating docks, good facilities, good local restaurants, good price relative to many other Florida marinas, free (except for gratuities) local bus service. Will definitely go there again.

If Grocery Nearby it would be 5 Stars, 2012-01-12
Captain: , Annapolis, MD (326)

Downtown is super. Tuesdays at Malony's for an excellent Irish singer and Thursays a reportedly fun folk singer. Excellent food there and Jason's (beauty breakfast muffins). Marina staff is super, good maintenance suport (Tally's for fridge) good washing machines at a reasonable price and the new NSBfree shuttle works for tips until 2:00 AM. OK ... 4.9 stars!

Nice small marina, 2011-12-28
Captain: , City Island New York (600)

Stayed one night at this nice old style marina. Our slip was quiet, close to the office and showers/laundry (clean and AOK, also book exchange) John the Dockmaster was there to help us dock and tell us about walking area nearby as well as info ow to get to Flagler Avenue (the main drag) which is a cab ride away as is the Publix, but all very manageable. Good friendly place to stay a day or two.

Best value in New Smyrna, 2011-12-07
Captain: , Edenton, NC (887)

Have stopped here last three times we came through. Great place, easy docking. Recommend Jason's restaurant as good place to eat, about three short blocks away. Publix and shopping are across bridge....bit of a bike ride, wouldn't walk it.

Best showers yet, 2011-12-06
Captain: , Westbrook, CT (453)

A small municipal marina with floating concrete docks, wonderful showers, and a dockmaster with a super attitude! Not many transient slips, but worth a stop - right at the bottom of New Smyrna's prime strolling street

Nice stop and great town, 2011-11-18
Captain: , Sunset Beach, NC (1146)

Great dock help and many friendly live-aboards in this marina. We met many nice people here. The town is small but has a few good places. Maloney's Oyster Bar is great. Don't be fooled by the name, although they have seafood the sandwiches are awesome here. Everything is made fresh. The roast beef sandwich is one of the best I've had and they have great vegetarian sandwiches too. Dolphin View is also good for fried seafood and has a nice location right on the water.
There is a NAPA auto parts within walking distance.
We stayed here for several days 11-2011 waiting for repairs and it is a nice place to be "stuck"
Almost forgot to mention, best showers we've seen in any marina so far!

New Smyrna Beach City Marina, 2011-11-09
Captain: , Stuart Fl (300)

Very nice facility but small. Only a few transients space available. Very short distance from the ICW to the docks so be prepared with your lines. Call them early to find out docking instructions. Quiet and peaceful. Walking distance to restaurants. Easy in and out. Large number of pelicans on small island nearby.
