This is a working yard, well suited for power boats.
Clean showers. Solid, but fixed concrete docks which could be worrisome to those with less than very good docking skills.
Access to slips is an easy approach thru their channel with sufficent manuvering room

Limped in with our catamaran 5 days ago in need of a replacement battery. They had one in stock but we decided we wanted two (one for each engine) so they suggested going to the boat supply store down the street. Bruce (manager?) gave us a ride there and sent a guy with a golf cart to pick us and the batteries back up. Worked out a deal on dockage since we were only there a few hours. They were busy but still helpful and friendly. This is more of a working storage yard than fancy marina, but suited our purpose well. Bath house seemed reasonably clean and they have a fairly well stocked store on sight. I'd stop by there again.

Great Staff - Easy in/out, 2016-03-03

Staff was great - friendly and welcoming.
Good spot to prepare for the hop across the gulf stream.
Food and marine stores close by.
Would stop here again.

Did not respond on Ch16. Phone rang and rang while I was trying to negotiate the narrow channel in. Dockhand nice enough but not completely checked out and didn't hang around. Docks are rough with lots of exposed concrete and not enough pilings to protect the hull. Supermarket a quarter mile away. Not a repeat for us.

Stopped to hide out from the howling winds that have plagued us for days, to wait for a weather window to cross. Even though they seem to be mostly dry storage, we felt welcome and the dock neighbors/crew were helpful with suggestions on places to go etc. And ... they have small containers of Hagen Das ice cream too boot. Would stop again, if they can squeeze this fat cat in again. Thanks!

Captain: , city island (342)

staff helpful. guided me in well. slip assignment near the end of T was a piece of cake to get in and out.
floating concrete docks in good condition. very secure for several days while weather passed through.
otherwise, minimum amenities

Note that I needed a small generator removed. I could not find other marinas in the area that would allow the removal, or allow my mechanic, or they were crazy in price. here they said $50 fee, which they waived since I stayed there.

Great Facility!, 2015-08-29
Captain: , quonset point (10)

I stayed there for a couple of weeks and it is an awesome place. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. I've been there in the past and it seems like the customer service has gone up in quality. See you next time guys and keep up the good work!

We stayed 2 nights and were very comfortable. The staff is friendly and professional. The concrete docks can be difficult getting in and out. The facility seemed well kept and the bathrooms were clean. The area outside the facility is a but rough after dark but the night time security is a plus.

Good place to keep your fish boat, 2014-02-26
Captain: , Kelso, Wa. (834)

Had planned to stop in at Old Port Cove but they were full up. Dock hands met us at the dock to help us but did not linger. They stay busy getting customer's boats in and out of the water. Were treated OK but had the feeling cruisers were not their main focus. Wi-fi only worked for us in the office and slow at that. Groceries just a few blocks away as well as a well stocked BOW (boat owners warehouse)?

Not palm beach, 2014-02-14
Captain: , Montreal, PQ (141)

Dicey area, but friendly. Grocery close. Showers broken and dirty with no supplies. Laundry available, and cheap, not too clean. Night security guard preaches loudly to himself whoever passes by. Marina caters to fishing boats mostly. Nearby grassy areas for the dogs full of garbage and broken glass. No nearby activities except Peanut island.
Reasonably cheap but not worth it. We will not be back.

Not a place for sailboats, 2014-02-08
Captain: , New Bern, NC (466)

I chose to stop here because it was a first choice marina, but after dealing with them I%u2019d never put a dock line on pier there again. As I was coming in I radioed for directions to a slip and they had misplaced my reservation, then the lady in the office gave me directions to %u201Cturn to hard to the right when you pass the next marker%u201D which put me aground. When I called to let them know what had happened she started berating me for not following her directions. After two attempts to get into the slip which was half the size needed for my boat I motored over to the fuel dock and discussed with the dock hands what we could do. I took one aboard to help with the lines and that worked better. I stayed two nights, the internet failed to work except if I was in the laundry room, the bathrooms were not managed well and the showers could have used some attention as well. When I check out I failed to pay attention and was charged for 3 days instead of 2. Calling them I explained the mistake and whoever was at the office told me I%u2019d have to bring the receipt to them in person. I said, %u201CYou have a copy, just check it, I%u2019m not willing to return.%u201D He told me that if I didn%u2019t show him the receipt that there was nothing he could do and hung up on me and wouldn%u2019t answer the phone when I called back. On another note, the night watchman, Juan, was wonderful and responsive. One of the big sport fishers near me had an alarm going off and when I walked up to let him know he got right on it. Then stopped by to thank me and let me know that the problem was resolved. If you have a sport fisher or a small speed boat this is a good place and provides the services that you would expect, on the other hand, sailboats don%u2019t seem to be catered to.

Came into marina to wait out thunderstorms. Assigned to slip 21; electric pedestal was defective and my husband was shocked attempting to turn on power. Apparently the marina staff had been notified a month ago that the pedestal was bad and nothing was done. Docks not floating and fender placement difficult for our 50 ft Carver aft cabin cockpit. However dock hands were very helpful.

Very convienent to Ocean, 2013-04-11
Captain: , North Myrtle Beach, SC (3210)

If you do not want to anchor before crossing over to Bahamas, this is a neat place. Price is ok, but winds can make your stay bumpy if winds are anything with east in them. Nice staff. Fixed piers. We wills tay here again. If you want a nicer marina, there are others, including this place's sister marinas.

March 19 2013 stay at New Port Cove, 2013-03-22
Captain: , Colonial Beach, VA (590)

Dock hands very knowledgeable and helpful. The front office person was not friendly nor helpful. She assigned us a slip that was already rented out to boat that was on a day trip. Aftr tying up we had to move. On check in she did not even apologize. Wi fi was not available. No apology. We stayed here because it was close to required check in location in US from our stay in the Bahamas. We'l not stay again.

Fixed Concrete Docks, 2012-12-25
Captain: , Little River, SC (1967)

We had trouble raising this marina on Ch 16 and finally had to call by phone. 2 Dock hands helped us tie up. The docks are fixed concrete and at low tide our dock lines were chafing on the concrete piers. The place is extremely busy (noisy) with the Freedom Boat Club; lots of boat traffic in and out. The Fuel dock and pumpout is almost impossible to get to due to the Freedom Boat Club boats. Very nice Publix about 3/4 mile.

Good Experience - Helpful Staff, 2012-12-11
Captain: , Cleveland (2062)

We arrived for our second stay at this marina in 15-20 mph winds. As with our previous visit, two gentlemen met us at the dock and helped us in.

Not very much wind nor current protection as the docks are open underneath. The docks are easily approached and with the help of the staff we had no trouble getting in. Nice strong fixed docks. Restrooms were very clean and open from 7:00 am until 1:00 am without a key. (Keys are available for those who want one.) The $20 - 50 amp power & utility fee seemed pretty pricey but with the boat US discount the overall price is probably reasonable for the area.

Cheap for the area, but don't cater to transients, 2012-12-07
Captain: , Algonac, MI (1659)

Wouldn't give us a key to the bathroom for our overnight stay.

Very Busy Marina, 2011-11-05
Captain: , Full Time Cruisers (2244)

This marina is very busy with the Freedom Boat Club. Boats coming and going all day ong but the traffic stops after 6 pm. Transient slips are very exposed to wind and wakes of passing boats on the ICW, although this area of the ICW is no wake zone. The marina staff at times may be to busy with Freedom Boat Club to assist with your docking and there is a lack of communication with the front office to the dock hands. The marina is quiet at night.

Great Location, 2011-07-13
Captain: , West Palm Beach, FL (82)

I have kept my boat here for twelve years now. Very near Lake Worth (Palm Beach) Inlet, which is a great inlet. A few of the dock hands have been there for many years (Keith and Andrea) and are very helpful. Front office staff have not been great. Been much turnover there. Hopefully the new person, Jen, will work out.

Towed in But Loved the Stay!, 2011-06-02
Captain: , Newark, DE (250)

We were sailing along the outside when the winds died, so we started trolling fishing. Motor started making some funny noises so we went below to check it out. Water shot out of the dip dtick tube! A storm rolled in while we were checking it out so we sailed to Palm beach and called BoatUS. The captain of the towboat recommended we stay at this marina. We accepted and now agree!

Plenty of ammenties, easy walk to food and groceries, and chandleries! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful in getting our issue resolved and also helped by suggesting places to visit to lift our spirits! It was just a bad water pump and the guy the marina called for us had us up and going that Monday. We had a great weekend even with the prospect that our cruise might be over thanks to the excellent staff here. And they even had coffee waiting for us every morning!

New Port Cove Marina, 2011-02-20
Captain: , Wilsonville, AL (474)

Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean restroom, but men's has only one shower. This isn't normally a problem since I don't think many transients stay here. This is mostly a dry stack facility so weekends are very busy. Apparently many dry stack clients have no idea what a wake is, so be prepared to be rocked on weekends.

They don't know their own marina, 2011-01-20
Captain: , Wilson, NY (432)

Called ahead, folks said our 5' 8" draft would be no problem. Call for directions when close. Called again entering channel. They were to be out on dock. Touched going in, no one out there. Held in shallow channel while we called again. Sent someone out. Went aground entering slip. Directed to another slip, able to back off grounding. Went aground trying for second slip, had to be pulled off. Left.
