Reviews for Bridgeton Boatworks
Great Boatyard, 2017-05-01
Captain: , Racine, Wi (40)

We went to Bridgeton Boat Works twice. Once for a bottom job and hull waxing and a second time to have the rudder seal replaced. In both cases Mike and Ginnie were very accommodating. They did the work correctly and delivered the boat on time as scheduled. And the price was fair.

Mike and Ginny are great to work with. Had bottom painted and other work done and the job was completed in the time frame and price they estimated. Highy reccomend

Great People - Great Service, 2016-11-09
Captain: , South Padre Island, Texas (30)

We hauled out under some duress because of the pending threat of Hurricane Matthew. Mike, Ginny and their crew handled the situation in a most competent manner. We decided to take the opportunity to have a few repairs made while in the yard. Great service, fair pricing, and wonderful people to deal with! You can always locate Mike by spotting Trixie, the white terrier, who follows him about relentlessly!

Exceptional Expreience, 2016-09-02
Captain: , Gananoque Ontario (34)

BBW took care of us for 2 weeks on the hard in the Spring of 2016 in prepping our Tollycraft 44 for a long cruise north to Canada. The service was exceptional, the team was friendly and experienced. Professional all around. Really love this place and when we need a service again and we are on our way south or north, we will be taking the side trip up the Neuse River to see these guys.

Extremely happy customer, 2016-06-15

I took Barric II to Bridgeton Boatworks to prepare to sell her. They did everything right, from painting the hull, bottom paint, general clean-up to mechanical work. Pricing was very fair. Mike Webber, the owner, and Ginny were friendly, helpful. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Like having a friend with a boatyard, 2015-12-21
Captain: , New Bern, NC (289)

This is a nice clean yard where you can do your own work or have the staff do it for you. Went for a short haul and the crew could not have been nicer. Mike took an interest in my particular problem and even did some research for me. Great find.

Best service I've ever experienced, 2015-07-01
Captain: , Portsmouth, NH (279)

Mike and Ginny and crew are awesome to say the least. They have the old-school customer service perfected and I can't say enough good about them. Everything from professional paint or engine or rigging work to just simple repairs is done promptly and they actually talk to you and let you know what's going on... good or bad... nobody could ask for more. Well worth the little trip up the Neuse from the Intercoastal.

Top Shelf on The Neuse, 2015-05-09
Captain: , River Bend, NC (10)

Mike and Ginmny and crew have taken this long abandoned boat yard and turned it into a first class facility doing top notch work with a level of quality and customer service that you would expect from a yard in Newport, RI.

Easy Access for a Haul Out, 2015-04-25
Captain: , Richardson, TX (552)

We keep our boat at Bridgeton Harbor Marina, less than a mile fro BBW and were in need of a survey/haul out for insurance purposes. In the past we would have had to go on down the Neuse quite a way to find a marina that could accommodate us or that we could get in to. So we were very pleased to find out that Bridgeton Boat Works, a relatively new Boat Yard, could get us out of the water. We have a 49ft Krogen Express trawler with a 15ft beam. weighing 47,000 lbs. Mike (manager) was very eager to please, very friendly and professional and made the whole process very painless! He even came down to our marina to check out our boat beforehand to make sure there wouldn't be a problem hauling our boat. We were hauled out, power washed and back in the water in about an hour. We draw 4.5 ft and had no problems getting in to the slip. There is some shallow water around, however we followed Mike's instructions and entered from the main channel, turning at the church steeple and heading in a straight line across the river and into their slip. I do know that they have a 70 ton lift on it's way so will be able to accommodate much larger boats in the very near future. We have not had work done here but have heard good things from people who have.

new place for haulouts, 2015-01-28
Captain: , new bern, nc (60)

we recently had our 42 ft cat hauled here. while it was their 1st attempt with a boat this wide, they did a good job. (but, need to upgrade their equipment, it took 10 hrs. an equipment upgrade is planned, now). the staff is very frienddly and helpful, even going as far as lending me equipment so i could do my own sanding. it is a great group and i would go back for my next haulout

Bow Thruster, 2015-01-22
Captain: , New Bern NC (10)

Mike/Ginny and all the crew at this boatyard are outstanding! I recently had a leak around the bow thruster tunnel and they repaired with no issue. Their concern for the satisfaction of the boat owner is second to none. I highly recommend this yard! GILRAKER

Excellent all around, 2014-10-21
Captain: , Cherry Hill, NJ (58)

My wife and I recently purchased a boat that was in need of a lot of work. Not being from the area (DC) we chose the first yard we could find. I am very very happy we found Bridgeton Boatworks. Mike and his crew do an awesome job at everything they touch. They were very accommodating to our needs as they completed the repairs to our vessel. The owner Charles is a great man who truly loves his customers. If you are in need of a yard consider this place, even if you have to travel a few days to get there!

New Boat Yard raising the service bar to cruisers., 2014-08-19
Captain: , New Bern NC (120)

Bridgeton Boatworks opened on June 1, 2014, and we were hauled out on June 10 for some major work. The day I came in had a minimum of 6.9' in the channel. The Neuse is renown for shoaling which makes access to a number of yards quite difficult, but the Bridgeton Boatworks travel lift can extend about 130 feet into the river to pick up a boat. Because the yard is new, I anticipated some glitches, but was delighted to see how quickly everyone responded when a task slipped. I was permitted to use my own Boat Manager who has overseen all upgrades to Charbonneau since 2009. Keep your eye on this yard...their zeal to keep the customer happy and provide the best service makes them a winner.
