Reviews for Nancy Port de Plaisance
No room at the Inn, 2016-08-08
Captain: , Washington DC (3035)

We've made three passes through Nancy in the past 2 years, and each time the port seems to get worse. Summer 2016 it was completely filled with ratty looking semi-permanent boats (not one slip available for transients). Port captain is kind of weird, not friendly or welcoming at all. The city is nice, with a good market, and of course Place Stanislaus, but the port itself is on a downward trajectory.
For just over half the price, skip Nancy and go to Toul instead, then take the quick train back. There is free boat parking either one hour north (Pompey, on the Moselle) or one hour south (Varangeville).

Great city and fine port, 2015-10-22

The port itself is ok, with toilets ands showers in the building to the left. But the city is great. Sunday markeds are the best.

Pretty much agree with Allan B, 2014-07-10

I'm going to try standardizing my reviews, giving stars like the French do for hotels--three stars if it has a restaurant, 2 if not, etc.
Each stop starts with 5 stars and one is dropped for each of the following that the stop doesn't have: Electricity, Water, WiFi, Rubbish, Attraction. Nancy doesn't have WiFi so subtract one and it gets 4 stars.

Nancy Port de Plaisance, 2012-03-17
Captain: , St. Jean de Losne, France - home Guelph,ON, Canada (7946)

An excellent stop to see the city of Nancy with all its historic attractions.
The slip are somewhat difficult to enter and exit due to the limited space between the docks.
The city is worth several days visit to see all the attractions
There are many sites listed as UNESCO World Heritage Buildings
