In Sep. 2016 an additional showwer/tiolet facility was opened on the Msida side of the marina (in the vicinity of the Vela restaurant.) All berths at the marina are used by permanant lease holders. There's a short transient dock on the N end, outside the security protected area of the marina. However the marina staff will try to assign you a secure berth while an owner is away; if you stay longer be prepared to move around.

Reviews for Msida and Ta'Xbiex Marina
Msida Marina, 2016-12-11

An excellent marina. It did not get 5 stars because it lacked all the features you would expect fom a marina.

The staff were outstanding and the marinaros were very helpful... security gates on all docks and right downtown and close to pretty much everything...

Downside of being downtown is that the dust and dirt will settle on your boat and you will need to wash it every couple of days... If you are a cat, don't even bother asking, they are mono only... we got in only because we could pull some strings with some influential folks...

It is about a safe a place from swells as you are going to find in Malta... and the price was moderate compared to other location in Malta.

Great place to be at. Great security for you and your boat.

A great place to stay, 2013-05-17

Marina office is staffed by knowledgeable and helpful people. Service standard is high.

Marina still being developed so no showers and toilets yet (maybe in the RMYC underneath in the gym you could get a shower?)

Security all day and night. Given the advantages Malta offers in facilities, is somewhere you could winter quite comfortably.

Really safe Haven., 2013-03-17

This is a very secure Marina from the elements. We just had a force 9-10 come through and we felt safe on board, although a little bumpy but that is to be expected.

The re-newing of all the pontoons is nearly complete (3 to go) at which point I am told they move onto toilets etc. Access is brilliant both via water and car with ample parking - something most Maltese marinas suffer from.

Great location, 2011-09-02

Fantastic central location. Currently a little bit scruffy but major overhaul is due to start soon, to the highest standards. Great service!
