Operation (seasonal or year-round)

Additional info: From breakup to freezeup.

This dock was rebuilt in fall 2012. The water levels can vary quickly (1m/3 feet per day).

The water shallows quickly as you approach the dock but there is 8-10 feet on the outside of the L-shape. The dock is high so it can be a bit of a climb for smaller boats. Dockage at the shore wall is only for shallow draft boats.

Reviews for Morrisburg Public Dock
Easy dock / We checked into Canada here, 2016-07-12
Captain: , Baltimore (389)

We have been cruising down the St. Lawrence Seaway and wanted to check into Canada. We docked (room for 3-4 boats), checked into Canada using the Customs phone, then walked into town for a bite at Tim Hortons.

Nie place to stop if you can get a spot, 2013-07-22
Captain: , Montreal (243)

This is another good spot for a stop over, iv you can get a spot. The local pizzeria delivrs to the dock :-)

Dock is now repaired and in use., 2012-12-26
Captain: , Iroquois (1230)

The dock was condemned as of May 2012. The local council has decided that it is unsafe and it has been rebuilt in Fal 2012.

The structure is now a steel frame supported on pilings with a concrete walkway. Strong tie up cleats. Only downside is the short "skirt" around the dock - due to low water levels and depending upon your boat, you may need to rig a fender board to prevent damage.

Boat ramp dock, 2011-09-18
Captain: , Pensacola (307)

The dock is pretty secure. Tested going on the inside for wake protection. Backed out as it seemed too shallow for our 4'6" draft. Tied to the outside.

The dock is open to curious people. Recommend securing items on deck. We had no trouble, except one couple climbed aboard our boat to take a picture.

It is a free dock so, I guess allowances can be made.
