Reviews for Morris Yacht and Beach Club
Great club, 2015-12-11
Captain: , new york (351)

We moved our boat here in 2014 from the Hudson River and couldn't be happier. Saturday traffic on/off the island can be bad. The key is to arrive early on a Saturday.

City Island mooring, 2012-09-17
Captain: , Toronto (280)

This was our 3rd overnight stop on our way home to Toronto. We had a little trouble finding the ball from the VHF instructions, so the young fella came out in the launch to lead the way. We stayed on the boat that night so we can't really comment on the City Island itself, but I'll bet it would have been interesting

Great people, great service, 2012-05-24
Captain: , Washington, NC (50)

We stayed here with only about an hour advance reservation. They found us a mooring ball and were very quick to meet us with a launch. Very clean bathrooms and showers, close to a variety of restaurants, very friendly people.

Best Club in the Area!, 2012-03-23
Captain: , city island (342)

New building. New caterers. New ballroom. Travel Lift. Still very inexpensive to join. Great site.

Great club for joining or a transient stay, 2012-03-23
Captain: , Morris Yacht and Beach Club (13)

Newest clubhouse on City Island with great facilities, bar and restaurant on site. Inexopensive to join and a great overnight stop for those heading up the Sound or down the river. Grab a mooring and walk anywhere along the 1.25-mile long City Island Avenue for a great selections of shops, delis and some of th ebest restaurants in the state. Quick cab ride to all NYC has to offer (you can be in midtown in 15-20 minutes).

a bit of the bronx, 2011-07-11
Captain: , atlantic city (40)

Thirty buck mooring with launch service til two am! Lots of restaurants walking distance, ice, no fuel.

A nice Club whose original building burned down to the ground - they are rebuilding and have a huge capicity travel lift - - mast stepping is precarious at best - people are friendly - exceptions though are around.
