Reviews for Monterey Municipal Harbor Office
Guest docking at wharf..., 2013-01-05
Captain: , Santa Cruz, CA (85)

The harbor offers free guest docking for a couple hours at the municipal wharf (wharf 1). Super friendly harbor staff (hail on VHF channel 5) came out to chat while I tied up. We took the trolley to the aquarium, and back. Quite a bit over our "couple hours", but no hassle.

Best Transient Facialites, 2011-10-09
Captain: , San Diego (180)

At the time this had the best transient facilities of any harbor/marina we stayed at going south, untill we got to Oceanside. Harbormaster and assistants were also the best to work with, although the other harbor/marinas were nice too. If you need to wait out the weather, this is the place to stay.

great stay, 2011-08-14
Captain: , Stockton Sailing Club (20)

have been to the marina for three stays now. each time more than one night. Very pleasant staff and vsry helpful. Marina is in ideal location next to a wharf with restaurants galore, yes, a bit touristy but food is pretty good and a nice place to hang out and watch the world go by.
Be sure to bring a small horn, you need to fire a short blast when entering or leaving the me marina due to large concrete wall blocking view of marina approach.
In general, highly recommended as a cool place for a stopover

Friendly Staff, 2011-02-09

The Monterey Municipal Harbor Office staff are very friendly and are available 24/7 by VHF radio.
