Reviews for Monte Real Yachting Club
Service and quality not in level with the prices, 2016-07-27
Captain: , Nynashamn (150)

This was the most expensive harbour, since I left Sweden. Very simple toilets and showers, which not are in level with the price.
I was promised help with an electrival outlet but nobody came.
As said below, the town and the fort is worth a visit.

Magnifico puerto de recalada, 2014-03-01
Captain: , Bayona (30)

Puerto muy acogedor que se encuentra dentro de una fortaleza medieval y un pueblo muy bien conservado.
Muy protegido en verano y con algo de mar de fondo en invierno.

Great location but priced to match!, 2013-11-14
Captain: , Kinsale, Cork, Ireland (257)

The Yacht Club is one of the iconic places to visit on your way south to cross the Atlantic or go into the Mediterranean, and makes visitors very welcome.
It is VERY expensive, especially in high season, and when there is a regatta in progress. I have been charged €75 per night, 16m boat.
Other reviewers have commented on the morring arrangements. The rise and fall of the tide means that lines get slack, making your boat prone to bouncing off the dock, and there seems always to be a swell.
Bayona town is well worth a visit, and there are many restaurants of good quality, but go looking.

Nice setting, 2012-09-03
Captain: , Orust (1863)

This marina has a very nice setting. Club house as a nice restaurant. Club is very active. Unfortunatly the slips where guest boat are located is exposed to E winds. Little bit choppy. No finger pontoons. Instead you have to fish up a slimy line for the bow.

Puert deportivo next door has more protected and easier berths.

Top class stop over - worth a week., 2012-08-01
Captain: , Brighton, England (341)

The Royal Yacht Club is a very nice place to have a cool beer and to lounge around using the free wifi. It has an excellent view from the terrace across the bay and towards the town.
The facilities are very good, although they only have 1 washing machine - on the other hand they seem to let you use it for free. The local town - 5 mins away - is very active in the holiday season with Spanish tourists. The old town is a buzz at night and we had one of the best meals ever at the deli/restaurant Jamoneria Jaqueyvi find it and eat there!
Will definatley stop there again en route to/from the Mediterranean
