Reviews for Gateway Marina
Interesting stop, 2017-01-23
Captain: , Eagle (292)

A little shallow coming in, staff was great and did everything possible to make us comfortable. No real toilets or showers but they provided a house boat to acomadate us. No-See-Ums were bad!

Basic but Functional, 2014-11-14
Captain: , Wickford, RI (550)

A bit rustic, no showers, good WiFi, friendly, helpful staff knowledgable about the area. Restaurant & Post Office within short walk, market a bit further. We never saw less than six feet in the channel or river at one-hour before high tide. Restaurant will cook fish you catch; if you need a good guide call Jackie Shaw 352-210-8942. You will catch fish.

Helpful Folks, 2014-07-18
Captain: , Lizella GA (1826)

My friend's boat broke down while crossing the Gulf and this was closest marina with ramp to pull boat out. I towed his boat in at low tide and the Gulf enterance was only 1.5 ft. deep but we made it. Staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed at dock all day waiting for ride to get trailers and they only charged us the $5 for ramp use. I would give a higher rating but facility is a little run down. They do have some large house boats you can rent for a run down the Suwanee.

Beware, Shallow channel!, 2010-11-16
Captain: , Stuart, Fl (435)

We called both BoatUS and Millers the day before we tried to go there and both told us we could get in at high tide. Fortunately we called again before we entered the channel and Mr Miller said there was only 2 feet of water at HIGH tide! Had to go on to Yankeetown. This was during "winter tides" in November.
