Reviews for Milford Yacht Club
Most hospitable club on the Sound, 2014-08-08
Captain: , Greenwich, CT (20)

We have never experienced more generous hospitality. We stopped here after sundown in early August 2014 on our way home from Block Island. Scott Halliday kept the kitchen open for us past closing so we could have a tremendous supper of chowder, steak, and burgers. He made sure we could get hot showers and gave us several tips on Milford. Other staff helped with dock lines, called the Pump Out boat for us, gave us a lift into Milford, and one junior member even offered to help push us off the dock. Our extended family doesn't even treat us this well. It was a tremendously refreshing stop for our family crew after a full day's sail. Thank you, MYC. We hope to be back soon.

Nice Yacht Club, 2013-10-26

Very accomodating on my most recent cruise. Staff was professional and friendly.

Must stop on our trips through the Sound, 2012-11-28
Captain: , Nyack, NY (48)

Nice club great facilities. The pool and snack bar are always a hit with the kids. The restaurant at the club has good food. The last time we stayed the restaurant was used for a private party. The staff took us into town on the club launch to eat at one of the fine restaurants there. We called them on the VHF and they picked us up when we were done.

Great club!, 2011-09-05
Captain: , Port Jefferson NY (143)

We arrived at MYC and learned that they no longer rent moorings. We stayed alongside their dock ($3/ft) and it was worth it, use of their wonderful pool, watching all comings and goings in the harbor, sitting on the deck at their reasonably priced and fairly good resteraunt and meeting their members made it worth it.

Nice, welcoming club with good facilities, 2011-01-29
Captain: , Stratford, CT (250)

The club is just inside the Milford breakwater to port. The club has a wonderful restaurant with a deck overlooking the Sound. There's a large swimming pool with a kiddie pool and snack bar with surprisingly good, reasonably-priced food. Locker rooms are spotless. There's no anchoring anywhere in the harbor, but the club has some transient slips. The dock staff is helpful. The town center (of Milford) is one mile away across generally flat ground. The train to New York and New Haven is right in town. There are lots of shops and pubs in town, but the only chandlery (West Marine) is at least 3 miles away on Route 1. Cheap places to eat in town are Peter Pan Pizza (silly name, great pizza) and Subway.
